4:02 interesting how what's supposed to be the "best ending" in the Matale/Sandral quest ends up not actually being the best ending in the grand scheme of things, and it's actually best if they just try to leave Dantooine.
The Sith Empire (Vitiate era) prevented the restoration of Taris. It’s more likely that the Reoublic managed to rebuild the planet after the collapse of the Sith Empire. In addition the Jedi Ruins on Dantooine were the focus of a fight between ‘The Alliance Commander’ and Darth Malgus, a renegade Sith Lord who wanted to steal information from the ruin. It also revealed that Dantooine was used by the Jedi to torture and experiment in force sensitives.
@@100StarWars Yes they did. The story lines are in order, and The Sith Empire characters visit Taris second. In the Empire stories they cut off supplies, demolish the Jedi Enclave there, redirect Rakghoul infestations towards Republic encampments and blow up the republic’s only space port. Combine that with the fact Taris is firmly in Imperial space and we can assume The Sith Empire would and could prevent their restoration project from getting anywhere until their eventual collapse before the High Republic era.
There’s been a lot of theories about what it was going to look like. Favorite theory I’ve seen is The Exile and Revan trying to recruit more Jedi, rally the Republic, and delve into the philosophy of both Old Republic Jedi and the Sith Empire of the time. It sounded amazing… Essentially the Sith were going to try to kill the Force, because they viewed it as a broken system of predestination and they wanted to break their chains. The big problem is all life is touched by the Force, so essentially they were going to kill everyone except the Sith, then kill eachother until a galaxy entirely devoid of the Force remained. It was assumed in this theory that the Sith Empire was in-fact outrageously powerful. So EVERYONE would need to fight against them. We’d see rivals band together, fighting to preserve all life. You get to see some of the philosophy of the Force the Sith Empire believed from Kreia and Darth Revan prior to losing his memories. It is also hinted that Kreia might not have stopped teaching Sith once Revan left to scout the Sith Empire, or after Sion and Nihilus betrayed her. Kreia’s less-extreme ideology is what we see in KOTOR 2. Some of the ideas were repurposed in TOR. If I can find the videos and discussions I’ll post them as another comment. (Been looking for months)
@A sith troope Idk what the exact reasons were, but I believe it had something to do with the influence system that was in 2. 1 and Tor were developed by BioWare, 2 was developed by Obsidian. Obsidian's early history revolved around obtaining licenses for games and developing sequels for said games and I'm not 100% sure, but I do believe they were one of the first companies to develop an influence system such as what's present in KOTOR 2.
Also, on Dxun or Onderon (forgot which), the Dark Empire series, Palpatine life comes to an end there as well, as he tries to possess a newborn Anakin Solo.
Another great video, but one thing that I really want to see is the fate of every companion in the dark side route I think this'll be a excellent theme for a video

I remember being confused by those people living under the city when they said they were going to set out for new land. 🤔 It's not like "land of the lost" down there.
Is it possible the Endar Spire being intact could be at some point retconned out as another Hammerhead-class cruiser? Perhaps it was traveling with the Endar Spire and got disabled early on in the battle?
I played Let the Bodies Hit the Floor while charging through the Trayus Academy. At that point you're so powerful that, if you built your character right, you'll just slaughter them. And the lyrics fit. "Nothing wrong wtih me" - they'd been saying something was wrong with the Exile the whole game. "You wanted in now you're here, driven by hate, consumed by fear" - the Jedi who went off to war, fell to the dark side, and are now getting slaughtered.
5:03 Now that is really interesting! Is this story related to The Force unleashed? Because from TFU2 we know that when the rebels captured Vader on Kamino, they brought him to their base on Dantooine. And actually, in my head I always thought that their base was what left of the Jedi Enclave.
Really liked this video! Great throwback to everything I met during K1 and K2 gameplay. Hopefuly the rumors about Disney puting focus to Old Republic era are true.
We probably won't like the result. The whole deal is that Filoni and crew can pick and choose the Legends stuff to loosely base their new canon on while trampling over the rest
Fantastic, amazing and insightful video my friend. I can't believe you said you don't want to see Tatooine anymore because the Obi-Wan Kenobi series is going to be showing us his isolation there. I'm curious if all these other worlds from KOTOR with the exception of Tatooine and Onderon...were occupied by Palpatine and the Galactic Empire during the Original Trilogy
It's also cool to note that, during the waning months of The Clone Wars, Jedi Grand Master Yoda eventually travelled to Korriban (at that point renamed to Moraband) for training to retain his consciousness after death. He encountered Dark Side apparitions of Ancient Sith, including one of Darth Bane himself. It was never absolutely confirmed whether Moraband and Korriban are the same planet AFAIK. But given the terrain, the landmarks, the entirety of the goddamn Valley of the Dark Lords; it's pretty safe to assume that they're the same place, just renamed after thousands of years.
For Telos 4 do you know if the planet was rebuilt by the Ithorian project or by Czerka Corp or both? Because I remember Kreia stating in her future prediction (either if you help Ithorians or Czerka) that the planet recovers. Either it becomes an industrial and technological hub (which is said if you help Czerka) or its native surface is restored if you help the Ithorians.
Taris was reclaimed by sith , dantoine got over run by gangs and the academy got raided by malgus , order of sasha were active during shadow of revan ,
Bro, where those playthroughs at? I loved watching the lego star wars playthroughs and others Edit 1: I think a mix of long and short are good. The 30 min videos are great and I'd like to see more nowadays. The ideas have also been pretty fresh too
The Endar Spire staying intact in TOR is more proof that it's an alternate universe Infinities storyline in my opinion. In actual Legends canon (and possibly even Alt-universe canon), it stays space dust and some small pickets of space debris, end of discussion. 5:36: Also Legends. Even that continuity shows Tatooine a whole lot. In the meantime, how you feel about Tatooine is the same as how I feel about Coruscant, though that Forceforsaken planet is thankfully still rarely seen in the Alt-universe. (I swear, Disney still using that desert wasteland planet is probably a metaphor for their own imagination for their Star Wars universe... still, hope Kenobi's a great show and a redeeming factor that counteracts TBoBB.) Yep, the Yavin Station from TOR is another example of Multiverse Theory janking out beyond our comprehension. I don't think I saw the Easter Egg, sorry... it better not be more Visas Marr stanning, though.
Bastila turns to the dark side, carth, mission, zaalbar, jolee and juhani all die, the droids and Canderous go with you, the galaxy is conquered by revan’s star forge fleet.
I imagine Malachor V had at least some impact on Malachor, as seen in Rebels? I'd be curious to know if that particular arc came after what we know of Malachor V, and if so why the sith kept on using this derelict system
Well events of mass killing, pain and suffering, such as old warzones, can cause the Dark Side to resonate strongly in these areas. Perhaps the Sith were able to draw upon these nexuses and become stronger. Think of it as standing in a certain spot under a leaking roof trying to catch the dripping water. That's my theory anyway on why the Sith would continue using places like Malachor and Korriban.
Rebels Malachor doesn't exist in the same universe, so there isn't any evidence of a mass shadow extinction as with Legends. The Sith used the world, died off/abandoned it, and the Rebels characters later find the world. It's all just a weird setup, a waste of existing lore when a different planet could easily have been used. Filoni doesn't care about lore, so he just does whatever he wants and lore suffers for it.
Aside from the “legends vs. canon” BS, we can extrapolate a few things. The Battle of Malachor V is canon to an extent. It’s described as the “Scourge of Malachor”, and is the event where the “Superweapon of Malachor” was detonated. Obviously all referencing the battle of Malachor V and the Mass Shadow Generator. But in realistic fashion, it’s all shrouded in mystery. By the time of the Galactic Civil War, the exploits of Revan are most likely largely forgotten and major events such as the Mandalorian Wars and Jedi Civil War are probably only anecdotally mentioned. Also, IIRC, SWTOR described the other planets in the Malachor system as “barren”. It’s very possible that Malachor II or Malachor III gained the name Malachor, and the other planets were renamed in the intervening 3,600+ years. So by the time of Rebels, all that is really known is there was a terrible event on a planet in the Malachor system, and since Malachor V’s destruction was completed in KOTOR II, Rebels-era history assumes it to have taken place on the only remaining planet called Malachor.
nice ! I was about to suggest you do "every kotor planet" next after your previous video on kotor party members. Well, seems you had the same idea yourself :)
I like these videos, but I think this one would have really benefitted from a bibliography. I'm really curious to know what sources you used outside of The Old Republic games and the mainline movies
I liked tattooine. Personally I wish in many games they explored the planet more as I'm sure there's more than just 1 major hub on the planet. Also it's a big world filled with criminals and thieves so who knows might be a hub for treasure hunters looking for lost booty not to mention hunting a variety of fauna
Tattooine is the most boring/overused/overrated map of all time. It’s literally a large deserted planet with few cities runned by bandits. And it’s the same over and over in each story/game.
@@youreokayboah2128 the same can be said about many places in the various games. Planets in star wars are either planet sized metropolis or scarcely populated. The ones in-between lean one or another and many times it doesn't make sense why they are the way they are. For me tattooine has a nice mix of populated centers and open frontier. Also being in the outer rim of course there's going to be the seedy element but again there's more there based on different shows and the games themselves. Lastly of course it's overused it's thee iconic planet of star wars more so than other planets. Not hating on others though would like to see more from all of them
Ok the weirdest thing to me about the fate of Dantooine is... well in Star Wars Galaxies it's populated by primitive tribes. I'm not sure exactly what the source for that was. Giving how strict Lucas Arts was I doubt thats something SOE just invented. So I always wondered what happened there. If those were decendants of colonists who somehow regressed or something.
About the tatooine being overused thing: is Disney, they haven't been used all that much in the movies or the shows. (unless you thought that every single time they went to a dessert, they were on tatooine.) there's once in the movies (the end of TROS) then there's some episodes in the mandolorean but they're spread apart between the two seasons (also it showed us a krayt dragon so I'm fine with it.) and that's about it. (the comics in the other hand.......actually they show more of mustafar then tatooine.)
My personal view is that I don’t regard anything from the SW:TOR MMO as part of the KOTOR I and II storyline. The links between the MMO and the original games were poorly devised and basically fanfiction.
To be so great that a Star-Forge was capable of being built, only for the builders entire species to be reduced to two "primitive" tribes fighting against eachother on a planet few know about. Imagine what it would be like to learn that was your history.
My thought’s: Endar Spire: Okay this is just weird and make’s no sense. At the space battle it should’ve at least been very damaged but I can see it be plausable (misspelling), in comparaion (misspelling) when it wasn’t destroyed on Taris somehow, like what?, “the ship was in a safe spot were it wasn’t destroyed”. No Taris: Okay, unfortanate (misspelling) but at least it’s getting better by the movie era. Dantooine: Cloning Phisility (misspelling) in the Jedi Enclave. Tatooine: Czerka is gone thankfully, oh yee the Hutt’s. Kashyyyk: It really is my favorite planet (minus the enemies). Manaan: Nice planet, but really greedy. Yavin Station: Wait the ship was destroyed but it survived for 300 year’s? Karriban: Wonder if in the K.O.T.O.R.1 remake would have Darth Sion as an N.P.C? Why the Republic ship’s dwindled (misspelling) when protecting Karriban. Lehon: So it was a dump for ship’s from the K.O.T.O.R.1 battle, how many ship’s was there on the planet? Also such a nice looking planet but sad to see it a bad history. Peragus: I’ll finish it later.
If using the restored content mods, Vash didn't die on Korriban, but perhaps the restored content mods aren't considered canon. The game does feel kinda short without them No mention of M4-78, yeah guess the restored content mods aren't canon 😥
I still think that Lucien Draay is Darth Sion and the KOTOR guide is incorrect about Sion being a Sith Marauder in the New Sith Wars. But that’s just an opinion of one.

The Sith used the world, died off/abandoned it, and the Rebels characters later find the world. It's all just a weird setup, a waste of existing lore when a different planet could easily have been used. Filoni doesn't care about lore, so he just does whatever he wants and lore suffers for it.
Different settings. Legends is separate from Disney cannon
I had a fantastic time!
Not hating on others though would like to see more from all of them
Would love to see a follow up for SWTOR :)
That would be a LOT of planets haha
@@100StarWars Especially since Disney got the location of Tython wrong.
Re: half the planets
“You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, damn you… damn you all to hell!”
We had a fantastic time
Ok the weirdest thing to me about the fate of Dantooine is... well in Star Wars Galaxies it's populated by primitive tribes. I'm not sure exactly what the source for that was. Giving how strict Lucas Arts was I doubt thats something SOE just invented. So I always wondered what happened there. If those were decendants of colonists who somehow regressed or something.
i had to look up yavin station. played on xbox i never even knew it existed.
Endar Spire: "YES! I AM INVINCIBLE!!!!"
(I had to and I do NOT apologize for it XD)
Awesome video!
I think some point some Tarus ciztens fixed up the ender spire so they could use it as shelter
My personal view is that I don’t regard anything from the SW:TOR MMO as part of the KOTOR I and II storyline. The links between the MMO and the original games were poorly devised and basically fanfiction.
💯 yupp
The Endar Spire seems to embody the Schrodinger's Cat aspect of much of SW lore.
14:25 kriea stretches and yawns? I’ve never noticed that before lol
To be so great that a Star-Forge was capable of being built, only for the builders entire species to be reduced to two "primitive" tribes fighting against eachother on a planet few know about. Imagine what it would be like to learn that was your history.
Do a video on the fate of all major NPCs next
12:34 two bags of loot which means... ):
Also duel blaster wielding kriea *cursed*
This video is brilliant! Also I agree about Tatooine, I’m bored of seeing it.
Somehow, the Endar Spire Returned
Malek really likes bombarding planets
In the legends canon Kashyyyk's main export was computer parts.
They don't build ships like the spire anymore.
One of his ancestors realised the jewel was a data crystal? Didn’t realise time travel was a thing in Star Wars 🧐
Liked for saying Jedi Exile and not Meetra Surik
My thought’s:
Endar Spire:
Okay this is just weird and make’s no sense.
At the space battle it should’ve at least been very damaged but I can see it be plausable (misspelling), in comparaion (misspelling) when it wasn’t destroyed on Taris somehow, like what?, “the ship was in a safe spot were it wasn’t destroyed”.
No
Taris:
Okay, unfortanate (misspelling) but at least it’s getting better by the movie era.
Dantooine:
Cloning Phisility (misspelling) in the Jedi Enclave.
Tatooine:
Czerka is gone thankfully, oh yee the Hutt’s.
Kashyyyk:
It really is my favorite planet (minus the enemies).
Manaan:
Nice planet, but really greedy.
Yavin Station:
Wait the ship was destroyed but it survived for 300 year’s?
Karriban:
Wonder if in the K.O.T.O.R.1 remake would have Darth Sion as an N.P.C?
Why the Republic ship’s dwindled (misspelling) when protecting Karriban.
Lehon:
So it was a dump for ship’s from the K.O.T.O.R.1 battle, how many ship’s was there on the planet?
Also such a nice looking planet but sad to see it a bad history.
Peragus:
I’ll finish it later.
Are you stupid or something
If using the restored content mods, Vash didn't die on Korriban, but perhaps the restored content mods aren't considered canon. The game does feel kinda short without them
No mention of M4-78, yeah guess the restored content mods aren't canon 😥
You missed the Dantooene reference from New Hope
I don’t remember Yavin station and I’ve played multiple times? Is that a pc only thing?
Quality
It was Czerka Corperation, not the Exchange that tried to take over Dantooine
It was technically both, but the Exchange led the operation and they were the ones intending to use Dantooine as a potential outpost.
yo what show or game is that from at 11:38???
No ebon hawk?
kotor planets were great
"Crash shite" 😂😂
Aren't we led to believe that Suvam is already extremely old in KOTOR and is likely more than meets the eye? Or was I the only who felt that way?
Great vids my boy Goes hard
I still think that Lucien Draay is Darth Sion and the KOTOR guide is incorrect about Sion being a Sith Marauder in the New Sith Wars. But that’s just an opinion of one.
