I absolutely love your adventures! Being 66, and pretty much homebound, I’m seeing America through your video lens! Thank you 2, and Daisy, so much for recording your trips so everyone can see it with you. Safe travels, and as long as you post em, I’ll be watching them. Have a Great one Chad, Tara, and Daisy. Sorry, almost forgot LUCILLE.

My wife and I were in SouthFork, CO. We took our dogs for a walk and a clump of road tar was on the ground covered by grass. One of the dogs stepped in it and had it caked in her paws. We tried everything and nothing worked. We took her to a vet and the vet used Dish Soap and it came off immediately. It takes ALLOT of work but is dissolves the tar or sap immediately. It was an expensive lesson but worth it.

Chad, you are the best at backing up the fifth wheel. You need to share this knowledge!! I’d be willing to bet a lot of people would watch an updated video on how you back up a 5th wheel. I know you e made a video once, but that didn’t go into detail about how far to pull up relative the your rear axel, when to cut the wheel, when you straighten out, when do you need to pull forward and do the wiggle, etc. I love your content and miss some of your “how to’s”. You’re really good at explaining some of this stuff. Maybe it can be a UA-cam short?

Bears and smoke from Forest Fires. Welcome to The Sierra Nevada Mountains. If you want to see another high-altitude lake one of these days go south of Tahoe to Lee Vining. Camp at the Mono Vista RV Park. There is Mono Lake, Tuolumne Medows in Yosemite NP and the old mining town of Bodie all in easy driving distance. You could motorcycle to everything but Bodie. Bodie is about 15 miles off 395 with 10 miles of dirt road. The lake is just outside of the East Entrance to Yosemite. It's called Saddlebag Lake. It is beautiful there in the summer.

My wife and I are laughing because we came into California on 168. You made the right choice by turning around. We saw the warning and felt like we could totally make it. It made the million dollar highway seem like child's play. There were two mountain passes, tons of switchbacks, and some steep grades. We ended up in 3 rv caravan including our 5th wheel. The truck and trailer infront of us was really working his brakes and we could smell their brakes cooking... we had to stop at Bishop for awhile to gather our wits before continuing up to Lee Vining. Great time, the best was an unplanned trip to Lake Tahoe that actually became a highlight of the summer. The tamarack fire caused us to change our plans, but it all worked out for the better. Thanks for this! It was fun reliving our own epic summer. Another great video!

Glad to see you made it to our neck of the woods - So. Lake Tahoe is an hour east of us. We live between Placerville & Folsom on US 50. We laugh when we tell people we live in California and they immediately talk about beaches, palm trees, etc. OUR California is the Sierra Nevada Mountains and we love it here. We're thrilled you enjoyed the area. If you come out next time, stay at the Placerville KOA on US 50, spend a few days and tour Placerville (oldest hardware store west of the Mississippi - even had its own History Channel episode), the Marshall Gold Field (where the Gold Rush of 1848 started - 15 minutes north of Placerville), the Folsom Prison and Old Town Sacramento, where the Pony Express terminated. Love you guys and hope to see you in person some day on the road!

Loved your video of Tahoe. My wife and I are camp hosts in Utah (Timpooneke Campground - American Fork Canyon). Our RV and Truck is parked under several pine tree's for the summer and we get pine sap falling on or rig and truck all the time. The best way we have found to get the pine sap off our truck, RV, hands, fur & clothing is hand sanitizer. Most campers we talk to being camp hosts have never heard of that but it works great. Hopefully this will help you if Daisy gets into the sap again or you need to get it off of your rigs.

The booties are a great, however as a K9 handler you have to train the dog to work with them. Making them run in them is the easiest way to get them to accept them quickly. Keep putting them on her randomly. She’ll just accept them one day. They are also good for hot pavement.

(120 is the east entrance to Yosemite…it’s called the “Whoa Nellie Deli” in Lee Vining…so much you passed along the way. Mammoth, Bridgeport Twin Lakes(Annetes Mono Village is a beautiful RV park..

We're starting later this year, we can't wait. When Tara stole the fries, I said yup! That's what my wife would do! You should take daisy on your bike rides. I built a little shelf on my wife's bike. Then I strapped on an old milk crate with a pad inside of it. Our little girl Jamie rode with us on the trails. She had her car seat harness on and it was strapped to the bike. She loved it and never tried to jump out. I have videos of our rides with her. I'm glad I have them to remember her by.

Can't knock the ladies of the night. One of the oldest professions. Even goes back to bible times😭😂🤣. Also they always have a hot cup of coffee going out in the middle of the desert around Nevada. I know the one outside of Las Vegas even has a runway for a plane. Once saved a couple of peoples live because they monitor the cb radio out there. Was a bad accident and they summoned the EMS team.
By the way since you went to long way around and came in the back side of Reno. When traveling between Fallon, Nevada and Tonapha don't be surprised when a F18 or F22 does a straphing or bombing run on you. Fallon, Nevada is the Navy's training area. Safe travels and roads. After the Tamarak fire which was 30 miles south of town, the Caldor fire was much larger and came right through town. The whole town was evacuated. Scary. My carrier Deployments with VQ-6 included the final cruises and the USS Saratoga and USS America. Great job on these videos. I'm glad to see that your skills as an AT have come in handy in the full time RV world. We own a 2017 KV Venom 4013K. We have been traveling mostly locally since we bought it in Aug 2016 (approx 15K miles). We are now both fully retired and are planning on hitting many of the destinations that you have been to. I just got through watching your video about going to South Lake Tahoe Highway 168 would have taken you back to Death Valley. Very steep Highway. You should have taken Highway 360 off of Highway 6. Would have shorten you trip by 20 miles. It is the truck route from Highway 6 to US95N. Have no idea were you found the rest stop on US50. US50 is 4 lane Highway to South Lake Tahoe. Enjoyed your video.

I bought a 43 foot fith wheel a little over a year ago and have 9 trips planned with my wife and 3 daughters over this year and next. Lake Tahoe is on the list. Just wanted to let you two know that when I first started working on being an RVer, a few years ago, I found you guys here and you were the most helpful to me with my research and educating myself, out of all of the sources that I looked at. I'm sorry to say that I have not watch every video but am still a fan and hope to see you in a campsite one day so I can say hi in person. BUT, with that said, I loved this video and you two have really stepped it up over the years! Your videos get better and better. Truly enjoyed watching this and just wanted to let you know how much you have helped me the last few years because I got my initial RV education from you and now I get to see wonderful destinations from you guys so I can add them to my list. So keep up the good work, and hope to see you on the road one of these days! Thanks, David

Lived in the area for 40+ years. Spots to see next time: Angora Lakes - small 1 mile hike, Eagle Falls hike at the back of Emerald Bay, Fire Sign restaraunt in Tahoe City for Breakfast (eggs benny), Garwoods on North shore - Lunch / Dinner, Zephyr Cove (walk on the beach with a Mai Tai), Camp Richardson Beacon Restaraunt (Rum Runner), Riva Grill lake side dinning (Wet Woody), Heavenly Gondola ride to the top of the mountain runs yearround.... Tahoe Valley Campground wouldn't be my first choice - Zephyr Cove, Camp Richardson both have full hookups or Nevada Beach and Fallen Leaf Lake Campgrounds with no hookups are better spots. You drove past Fallen Leaf - looks small but there's a number of pull through sites that would fit your rig. Lake Tahoe is one place that renting a boat is worth it even if you don't Water Ski - Looks like you had fun driving over Kingsburry Grade (Hw - 207) to get to the lake - that was my comute to work for over 20 years...

Such beautiful country! We haven't been out there since 2013 but hope to go back before too long.

California fires are getting pretty bad every year. Triple axles not friendly for tight maneuvers. Rest area not “arrest area” 😂. Unplanned excursions require different thinking, especially if you are a planner. Sounds like the park took “thousand trails” literally. I hope you get return and enjoy CA 395 from Lone Pine going north. Nice travel video. Thank you for sharing and have a great day..

I was waiting for, and disappointed not to see, any mention of The Ponderosa! It covered most of the northeast side of Lake Tahoe.

As many times as I get up there (about twice a YEAR) we were actually in Reno when Covid started. love Tahoe, I have a bunch of cousins that live in the area, within minutes from the lake. We all have road our Harleys around the area every time I come up. Missed one time due to fires. We have stayed at 6 different places around the lake and loved every one of them. stayed in a cabin at Camp Richardson one year, the lock on the door was so bad a bear could have Easly pushed it open, but it was still great. the last few trips we would take an excursion from the campsite and Go to Battle Born in Reno to pick up batteries. now that we have 6, we are holding off for a while. might get 4 more later. this is the First time I have ever seen a brothel in Nevada in person or on the TV Screen. heard about them a lot but never really went out of my way to see one either. Never get tired of Lake Tahoe. by the way, great drone footage going over the tunnel at the end of the video.

Gimme a Break, Gimme a Break, break me off a piece of that Kit Kat Ranch, rim shot, LOL. On a more serious note, I miss riding my bike. When I was in Alaska, I would find time to put about 5000 miles a year on my Kawasaki. Sadly, when I moved back home a long long time ago, I grew weary of having to direct traffic at every stop sign, to keep from getting run over, and sold it. My son loves his bike and rides a lot in the Hampton Roads area.

Clear blue sky days were rare last summer. I live in Tahoe. I'm happy for you that you had such a great day for a motorcycle ride. Gorgeous.

Sweet Lake Tahoe...been there several times and in the surrounding areas over the years. These days, it's totally not affordable to live there as is Yellowstone, WY due to the millionaires who have migrated there causing sales prices to go up and up. It's really sad because those folks tend to want to modernize things and change the originality of what Tahoe always represented for decades. Too much tourism has also put a good dent into the heritage that has always existed there. It's such a spectacular area, the deep clear blue water, the tall pine trees/forest etc. is so amazing. Winter is another great time especially snow skiing in Stateline and on Heavenly Valley mountain. Truly a place to experience all 4 seasons in great depth.
Zippo (Naphtha) lighter fluid will dissolve/remove sap 1,2,3. Then a nice bath.

We live at the north end of Lake Tahoe. The lake loop is a great bucket list motorcycle ride (preferably spring or fall), but if you're ever back, there are dozens of other day rides in the area that we love to take our Harley on. Kayaking on the lake or a day at the beach, hiking to the area mountain tops. We never get tired of ending an RV trip by coming home to Tahoe!
