My grandparents retired in South Lake Tahoe and I spent all my summers there. My grandmother was an avid fisherman and loved horses. She would always have a horse for me to ride during the summer. We would wear swimsuits under our riding clothes and ride the horses to Pope Beach, have lunch, swim in the lake and then ride home! Epic memories! I Love Fallen Leaf Lake, it’s one of my favorite campgrounds.

Being from the bay area and a snow skier for about 40 yrs i have been to Tahoe more times than i can remember....Soooo many things to do there no matter what time of yr your there whether at north shore or south shore....Spent alot of time in Homewood and Tahoma as i used to ski Homewood ski resort as my favorite...Cheaper than most the other places and the best view of Lake Tahoe to be had....We always used to set aside a day to take a ride to Carson City, Genoa , Truckee, and especially Virgina City for a little side gig from the lake....My favorite place on planet earth .....

So cool you made it to Tahoe! I grew up in Sparks, Nevada so spent a lot of time at Tahoe. Our neighbors rented a cabin up there every Summer so of course we went for a few days during that time. I remember climbing all over those huge granite boulders with the neighbor friend. Then most memorable was church camp for two weeks at Camp Galilee in my summer between 9th and 10th grades, not far from Sand Harbor. The last walks I had with my Dad before he got really bad with dementia was at Sand Harbor and Emerald Bay, so yeah, lots of memories at that gorgeous place.

My best memory about Lake Tahoe is when my dad went fishing at the lake shore while I played around the boulders. I found a piece of metal that I wanted to show him but he was busy fishing. When we were packed up and ready to leave, I showed him that piece of metal again and he realized that what I had found was a gold nugget, I still have it to this day!

My friend, as a fellow Las Vegan and someone who has spent time in Northern Nevada, do yourself a favor and get up there. You don't have to get in the water to enjoy the splendor of Tahoe. Plus, you can visit Virginia City, Carson City, and just get out and be awed by the glorious expansiveness of our great state.

I've been going to Tahoe for the past 40 years. I've been there 10 times more often in the winter (skiiing) but the spring and summer trips are almost as memorable. If you go during the spring melt you'll see some stuff you can't see any other time of year.

Woww that water is sooo absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait to see it in person 🥰
The hats are a GENIUS idea!! And live the design!!
I have a really really important question?? How is it living in that size of RV? Me and my husband are about to purchase our forever home in the next month. We keep on going back and fourth about the size..... I think a 24-26 will be good. Hubby thinks 27- 29ft 😖 my reasoning is because this will be our main transportation (not towing) but with Ebikes. We plan on doing lots of Boondocking more then campsites and not into having lots of stuff, just toys like inflatable paddle board, clothes & food.
We value your expert experience of having bigger and smaller and being on the road for so many years 🙏🏽 that would help out immensely on our decision making. We don’t know many who have had big & small rigs

1960 Winter Olympics were in Squaw Valley (North of Lake Tahoe), which is great to go uphill and explore. We love Tahoe. I hiked up the Eagle Lake trail when I was 7 1/2 months pregnant. It was after the earthquake and many of the rocks were shaken loose that made up the trail. I am 5' tall and it was a challenge to keep pace w/ my 6'-4" husband! Truly a very special place.

I watched this video and after what you said about being a part of 7 brothers and sisters I thought,… our parents and grandparents were strong men & women, (mostly women). We just aren’t having kids like that anymore. Actually, not for a while. You gotta have respect for those generations that grew this great country.

What brand and model are your e-bikes? They look like the perfect size. Not too big or bulky like some of the others I’ve been seeing

Visited Lake Tahoe in Sept 2017 and we had snow flurries - it was beautiful!! We took the Dixie boat tour of the lake and saw the tea house, home and gorgeous waterfalls you saw and it was just beautiful!

I feel so lucky to only live 2 hours away from Tahoe. We were there just 2 weeks ago on a backpacking trip from DL Bliss State Park to Emerald Bay State Park. Got to camp right on Emerald Bay for 2 nights. So beautiful and so peaceful! Vikingsholm is a cool place to see (done the tour before). It's actually open for tours again, but I think you were there too early in the season before they started up. Safe travels!!

Was this early summer? Is the water always that cold? Thinking about adding this stop on our trip out to the Pacific coast in summer of 2025? ~Kelli

Never been there, but Girl! If my butt looked that good, I would let my husband film me from that angle too. LOL! Great video. Such a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing.

I kayaked from the state park campground all the way down emerald bay and back. On the way back the waves were breaking over me, so i had to use my kayak skirt to keep the kayak from filling up with water. Gorgeous but waaay too strenuous. Stupid bf left me behind.

Sooo beautiful! Lake Tahoe is my most favorite place in this country. My dad and stepmother have lived there for about 35 yrs and live 2 miles up the road and have the most beautiful view I’ve ever seen. They live here in Florida in the cold season. Have an awesome time!

That is a great idea on the patch hats. I really love this trip. I always light up too because I’ve seen all the movies and pics. You know that rock you jumped off. It had the shape of a shark coming up outta the water. This was an awesome video. Thank you so much for your journey and sharing. Stay safe.

We stopped at Tahoe on the way home from Klamath 10 years ago. It was beautiful for sure. We will get back there one day. The falls were beautiful! Love the hats.
