    • @TheModernFilmmaker
      @TheModernFilmmaker  2 роки тому +2

      This could be the way in which you upload to instagram, if you are using an unstable connection to upload from your phone. You may want to try uploading only over wifi. If that doesn't work you may also want to try scooting the audio back just for instagram posts. I have never heard of this issue before so forgive me if these are not proper solutions. • @TheModernFilmmaker
      @TheModernFilmmaker  2 роки тому

      You could right click on a timeline and "Duplicate" the timeline. This will create a new timeline with all the same clips and track attributes. This would be the best way to make sure all the audio tracks have all the same levels and properties of the original timeline because if you just copy clips to a new timeline, the scaling, audio levels, etc will all go back to default. 👊✌️

    Hi. Is there a way to export to all the different formats i need at once? for example If i want to export to Instagram/Facebook/Pinterest and Tik-tok - can i have multiple timelines to export to different formats at same time, or is there some other way to do this all at once? if not all at once, then what is the best way to do this? thanks very much in advance

    • @TheModernFilmmaker
      @TheModernFilmmaker  2 роки тому

      Yes! Pick a timeline, go to the Render page, choose setting, then add to render queue. Do this for all the different timelines then you can click render and it will render everything in the queue one by one. It won't do all of them at the same time but you really wouldn't want it to. You want your computer focused on one render at a time to ensure quality. 👊✌

  • @Ben-id1tc
    @Ben-id1tc 2 роки тому +1

    Say for instance i already finished an edit in a 4k timeline and want to make a instagram portrait timeline. Do you recommend rendering out the first edit (recommended codec/format to preserve detail?) and then importing that media into the instagram portrait timeline and adjusting the picture. Or do you recommend duplicating the original timeline, changing the resolution to the instagram parameters, and individually correcting each clips attributes.

    • @TheModernFilmmaker
      @TheModernFilmmaker  2 роки тому

      Good question and I do both. If I want to post my edit as is, render the master timeline with Instagram resolution and bitrate. If I plan to make a wide-screen edit a portrait post, most of the time I will render out and put in a portrait timeline. Then cut any clips I need to reframe to fit in the center

    • @Ben-id1tc
      @Ben-id1tc 2 роки тому

      @@TheModernFilmmaker Thank you sir for all your content. Do you render out the edit in a specific codec/format to preserve quality to put in your portrait timeline since you're going to be rerendering twice?

    Not that it matters too much, but I just uploaded a 33.8MB video to Instagram and it took it. You can use something like Google drive or Dropbox to send files to your email then download onto your phone.

    but how to ensure best audio quality?

    • @TheModernFilmmaker
      @TheModernFilmmaker  2 роки тому

      The standard audio export settings are more than enough for instagram. 👍👊✌

  • @Demira470

    followed all the steps and sadly the quality after the export was terrible :(
    I filmed with a gopro in 4K landscape and can't manage to upload to instagram without losing all the quality
    any tips?

    • @TheModernFilmmaker
      @TheModernFilmmaker  2 роки тому +1

      This is odd 🤔 sometimes depending on my connection instagram will do weird things. Are you uploading or wifi or mobile data?
      If you have tried both... Try rendering landscape 1080 x 608 and you may need to experiment with bitrate between 2500-4500.

  • @grelstkoning9373
    @grelstkoning9373 2 роки тому +1

    My 1 min clip still loses a lot of quality even when I set my quality to 3500.. I use 4k 29.97 frame rate footage. (1920x1080)

    • @TheModernFilmmaker
      @TheModernFilmmaker  2 роки тому +1

      That is very odd 🤔 Can you try 2500? It could also be the connection you are uploading from. Sometimes a weak connection with give you a weak upload

      @@TheModernFilmmaker 2500 is where I started. I haven't even uploaded the footage yet. Just played it directly on my computer and the quality loss is noticeable.

    • @grelstkoning9373
      @grelstkoning9373 2 роки тому +1

      quality is restored after I crank the numbers up back to 10000. In this way, I am quite certain this is where the issue is..

    • @TheModernFilmmaker
      @TheModernFilmmaker  2 роки тому +1

      Well on your computer screen 3500 will look bad because you are stretching it out... On instagram, on a much smaller screen the video will look completely different... At the end of the day Instagram is going to turn your 10000 into 3500. I would try uploading both and seeing if you notice a difference but I can promise you 3500 is a high of quality as you will get from instagram at this point and time.

    All this did for me was make my video look poor outside of instagram now too. 🤔 Opened the file on quicktime and boom. Context: 122 second mp4 file

    • @TheModernFilmmaker
      @TheModernFilmmaker  2 роки тому

      The settings in this video are for quality on Instagram and not for a regular computer screen. If you do it right it should look somewhat bad full screen on your computer but should look great full screen on a phone. 👊✌️

      @@TheModernFilmmaker Its even crazier because I upload my content to twitter and it looks much better. Instagram is the visual app and still can't match up. It ended up not looking good on the phone. Oh well

      I have 24 fps and 60 fps clips in my 24 fps timeline,could you tell me which fps is best for the timeline? If i keep 60fps timeline what will happen?

  • @javierperea8967
    @javierperea8967 2 роки тому +1

    I don't understand why the timeline has one resolution and the project manager has another resolution :-(

    • @TheModernFilmmaker
      @TheModernFilmmaker  2 роки тому

      That is very odd 🤔 can you right click in the "Media Pool" create new timeline and set custom timeline options?

    • @javierperea8967
      @javierperea8967 2 роки тому

      @@TheModernFilmmaker I mean, in your video, you are using one resolution for the timeline (1080x608) and another for the project (1080x1350). At the end, only timeline resolution is important?

    Idk why people and even apps has started to label HD wrong. HD is not 1920x1080p that is Full HD.
