Man, Its Great. Getting far better quality than before. I can’t thank you enough. Take a bow man.
This gave me a flawless export. Thanks for taking the time to make the video.
So happy for you David! Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment man! Appreciate that!
Good pace, very clear, easy to follow and well explained. The part about how it will upscale to 4k depending on the matching/non matching of resolutions was very good, Thank you
Thank you! Very happy to hear that you got some value out of this video! 🙌🏽
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Do these setting work good on MP4 movie files?
Very useful man! I am working for a big corporation in my country in the video editing department and your video helped me a lot ! You are appreciated !
Thank you so much! Super happy to hear this video has been helpful!
Thank you for taking the time to really explain a lot of different settings/steps. I really appreciated you not going too fast and when you used visuals to show us. Thank you!
Hey Elizabeth!
Thank you for the kind words and taking the time to leave a comment - I really appreciate that!
Super happy this video was helpful to you!🙏🏽
THanks mate!
You're most welcome!
Man! to watch your video is like to go on meditation session! Amazing! Clear, without stupid emotions and exciting scrims with no reason...well done!
Oh wow, thank you so much!! It‘s always good to get such feedback because I actually question this myself too often whether or not I should act more excited about whatever and put some cringey expressions and emotions on my face because I can see a lot of UA-camrs do this and they are quite successful with it! But it’s just not who and what I am so I‘ll stick to ‚my‘ style! Appreciate the words, this really gave me some encouragement! Thank you!🙏🏽🙌🏽
bro the way you explained this is the reason why i am able to final upload my clients gaming videos..
bravo
subbed.
That's amazing man! Very happy for you! Super excited!
Appreciate you letting me know and welcome to the community!
Thanks sebastian for your profesional Program
Hey Shahram! Thank you! 🙌🏽
Thank you. I've seen people recording 100,000 to 300,000. I was like what?!? Why so high? You made total sense with your data. There are creators with absolutely no technical knowledge trying to teach people smh. Thank you once again for your video.
The bitrate is so high because it's finished master copy, giving the highest quality possible, the bitrates in these videos are highly compressed meaning when it gets uploaded on UA-cam you won't have the highest quality. These tutorials are for beginners and noobies not for people who are not advanced or interested in the real technical stuff.
The best teacher 😊
Thank you so much man! Appreciate that! :)
DUde youre a life saver. so informative and well put together. You fixed my display settings!!!!
Ayyye! Amazing to hear that! Thanks for sharing it in a comment Harry!🤝🏽

You saved me hours of export headaches. Only took me 3 badly exported projects to find your video :D
You’re most welcome Jack! Glad to hear it saved you a bit of time and headache!😁 just make sure to save this as a default preset so you dir have to adjust everything over and over again, and do your tweakings, if necessary, from there!:)

Dude, Thank you. I just got this DJI and I never messed with Log. Every time I tried to export it came out blotchy and choppy. I can't believe that the settings you recommended and to be aware of was the soul reason of it all lol Thank you again!

Nice settings, make sense
Thank you! Appreciate that! :)
I choose DaVinci for the loseless quality. This is must-watch for DaVinci beginner.
Thanks man, this was super helpful. I used Vegas for the past 15 years but after some poor customer service I've switched over to Davinci and I'm loving it so far. I may have to get the studio version though so I can render in higher resolutions.
Thanks for the how too. Much appreciated
You're most welcome! :)
Thank you Sebastian!
You are more than welcome Yevgen!:)
Thanks used this video twice now !
off the rip the video is amazing i'm only 0:38 seconds in I appreciate it brotha!!!
Thank you so much!! Hope you enjoyed it throughout! 🙌🏽
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals I certainly did!!
Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it. Switching from Vegas to Davinchi... FINALLY :)
That's a great move! Hope everything's going good?!
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals so far so good. However, I cannot figure out how to save my effect settings for later projects... in Vegas I had effect / camera and microphone corrections I could load for each brand of camera and microphone. I also had all my title board stuff saved. Tmcurrently I recreate all that when I start each project in Davin chi resolve. Not sure how to create my own templates and save them.
Tysm for making this :D
Very helpful. Thank you!
Very happy to hear that! 🙌🏽
great tutorial, Thanks
Anytime! You're most welcome!
Great stuff, this fixed my export problems. I was trying to export a 4k clip that was 5 mins long, but it was going to take 3 hrs! After following your video, it jsut finished exporting in 1 minute 54 seconds
That's amazing! Super happy to hear that it fixed the issues you were facing! :)

Question if I want to make a video with 4:3 ratio in 4k what would I have to do ?
Timeline res: 3840x2880 or 4096x3072 are 4K 4:3 resolutions
Hope you like that one - the other and older version was a little dated so I thought I‘ll update this one!
What do you want to see more of in the future? Let me know!:)
Great video
Thank you Leonardo! Really appreciate that man and thanks for the comment!
Easy to follow, I also appreciated your explanation of what different settings did 👍
You’re most welcome 🙏🏽
Thanks for the great tutorial. I appreciated learning how important it is to choose the right resolution on the timeline before rendering to avoid upscaling. Thanks for the tip.
Thank you so much Denis! I appreciate that and I am glad that it was helpful to you!:)
Thanks bro, great tutorial
Thank you! Happy to hear it's been helpful!
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals that tutorial help me second time XD, bc i fucked up some settings in DavinciResolve
Great tutorial, just what i needed right now!
That's good! Hope it helped you out! :)
Super good video! Thanks for guiding me through the custom export. We should all be using Custom Export when uploading to UA-cam.
My absolute pleasure man! Thank you so much - the custom export settings are far superior than any of the presets imo!
Thanks so much for the quick and clear explanation! 👍
Awesome Video! Helped me a lot thanks ! Nice explained and well made video!
Thank you soooo much! Really appreciate that! :)
Really informative. Thank you so much.❤
Super happy to hear that!! Thank you!🙌🏽
thanks man!
You’re most welcome! 🙌🏽
Thank you, another important thing: If you export in H264 you should even double the Kb/s.
So for getting best quality: H265 in 24fps 4K should be: 48.000 kb/s
H264 in 24fps 4K should be 96.000 Kb/s
Why do you say that? .265 compresses more than .264
@@ItzGoldfish1 Because H264 needs more Kb/s for having the same quality as H265.
Debatable. While yes, you DO get 4 four times the pixels of a 1080p video (i.e. quadruple the data), it is also true that there's a certain threshold where the difference in quality becomes barely noticable. It all boils down to who your target audience[s] on what platform[s] is[are].
For one, UA-cam is not going to play back your 4K video at a Bitrate of 96.000 Kb/s.
Even if you rendered your video for local consumption exclusively, a huge Bitrate will most probably result in overwhelming your gear which in turn will result in a stuttering choppy playback of your material. If YOUR computer can only scoff at this statement, well, kudos to you for working on such a beefy machine. 99% of the population won't get the same experience out of it.
You're preparing a film festival and have access to a professional (wherever you draw the line there...) projector? Well, quite frankly, why bother with H.264/265 compression at all? This isn't the video for you.
Also - in a sense, H.264 doesn't need "more Kb/s", it's rather that H.265 needs "LESS Kb/s" given that it is the new kid on the block. So if you rendered your 24fps video at the propagated 48.000 Kb/s, you could most likely go LOWER with H.265 to achieve similar results.
In the end, it's always a tradeoff. However, following the purported "frame rate * 2000" principle should yield you more than satisfactory results in 99.9% of the cases.
Thank you!
Glad it was helpful to you!!
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals it was✌️
Epic video, made swithiching from Adobe much faster thank you
Hello Sebastian, thank's for this tutorial. Just one thing I think you are wrong. At 2.06 min. You put the timeline color space (left side Rec 709) and the (right side Rec 709A). It should be like this her under.
The timeline colorspace should be (left side Rec709) and (right side Rec 2.4) and the output color space (left side Rec 709) and the (right side Rec709 A) I can proof this, just import your movie the way you have your setup in Final Cut and you will see the movie is much more bright. The way I describe it looks the same as well in Davinci and Final Cut. Also at preferences you are right about the display but also set system-general- automatically tag Rec 709 scene clips as Rec709A.
Hope to hear from you about your thoughts
Cheers Richard
Hey Richard!
You‘re right, I got that wrong! Thank you for correcting this - I‘ll pin your comment so everyone can see this! Thank you for this information!🙏🏽
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Hi Sebastian, glad we cleared this issue. I was struggling with this problem from 2015 until 2019. Until this update came from Davinci. Abobe has a lut for this problem.
