I was looking for a tutorial on compression so did a youtube search, clicked on a video and boy was I pleased when I seen your face because past experience has taught me that you my man are the real deal, I knew instantly when I seen it was you that I was going to properly learn something and not just end up more confused. Well guess what as usual, you did not disappoint. You are a fabulous teacher imho and I am very grateful that you do these tutorials because mere mortals like me would be lost. Take care and please keep doing this because you are superb at what you do.
You have really professional presentation. You're finding topics in Resolve education that are underserved and you're making deep but easy-to-follow videos that don't cut things too short and also don't meander. It's evident your channel is underrated. Keep it up Marcel!!
You're fantastic! EQ first, Effects, then Dynamics! Yes, I totally agree million percent! Thank you for clarifying. You're one of the best I've seen!!!
Wow, I was actually really skeptical about clicking on this video. I was initially only looking for a 1 min video on how to add compression in Davinci but I clicked on this video because I really need to stop taking shortcuts and just sit down and learn something new. This was super in depth and I really appreciate the new knowledge I learned from it. Thank you very much for this!
Can I click "Like" twice!??! You deserve it. Awesome video. Until now, I had no clue about "side chain compression" and the other tips. This will be super helpful in my projects going forward. Thanks!!
Learned a lot from this video... have been trying to wrap my mind around compression for a long time and this cleared up quite a bit. Gonna check out the EQ video next.
Glad this helped man! Compression can seem a lot more complicated than it is. Hope you enjoy the EQ video, it's a beast... I really appreciate you taking the time to comment Joel 🙏👊✌️
Marcel, your videos are just next level. Funnily enough, there wasn't a lot out there on echo removal - clicked and now I've watched your whole audio workflow. The format is perfect, and I've learnt loads while enjoying your craft/ Thanks!!
I rarely comment on videos, but you are just a goldmine, sir! Im stunned, how professional your whole presence is, and your tipps are in depth. I love it!
Just jumping in to fixing audio in post. I'm going to watch this video link 6 times. So much useful information, with perfect examples! Great job, man. Thank you!
This is awesome tutorial. My audio editing until now was all about manually dragging voice levels up and down on clips. Finally going to implement compressor knowing what each setting is doing! Huge Thanks!
I'm new to the Fairlight but after waching this video I'm not new anymore I feel like I could charge more from the clients This is one of the greatest contents on UA-cam Thanks so much
Seriously Marcel, what an amazing tutorial vid! Never really managed to wrap my head around audio in Resolve, but you really got me to understand it. Subscribed! :-)
Marcel, I thank you very much. You are one of the most talented teachers I have found on UA-cam. I am totally thankful that I found you, and commend you, highly. All you are sharing is extremely valuable to me. And I'm sure to others, too. I am deeply appreciative.
Really appreciate brother, One of the best tutorials , thanks man. Fisrt time I understand the concepts of the compressor, some people just give us to use random numbers
Always helpful - you've got the best mannerism, analogies and pacing for simplifying these kind of processes rather than regurgitating from the manual. Thanks man.
Yo Marcel you are awesome dude!! I loved your narrative on the attack and release of a compression! I've been trying to understand that for awhile now, and your simple hand movements made me finally have that "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH, i get it!" moment lol Subbed! Liked! Exited to watch all your videos as i grow with Davinci!
I've used Ableton for a long time, and it's crazy how the process is the same yet completely different, your tutorials are on point though so I appreciate you taking the time to be thorough!
Hi! Thanks a lot for your video, it's very understanding and helpful. I'm gonna see your other tutorials too. Keep going, almost 50k subscribers 😉Greetz from Holland, Erik
Great stuff man. I'm getting back into the editing chair after a decade away to edit a documentary I shot in Ukraine. So much has changed in that time and it's been a bit daunting getting familiar with new software and all the advanced capabilities that have been added. Your tutorials are quite accessible and targeted. Thank you for the time and effort you have put into these.
Yet another epic presentation of a tutorial that I actually enjoyed watching. Our channel's audio will inevitably improve, thanks to you! Keep up the great work!
Very clear tutorial, and the thing is that your voice is very easy to hear, I checked many other videos out there, but really feel hard to continue hearing, they talk very fast, and shouting all the way :-D, thanks really awesome and clear!
Hi man, thx for the great tutorial. Do you know what is done to create the effect of hearing a person talk via phone as it's done so often in movies? Say the scene is of a person talking on the phone, and we don't see who they are talking to, we only hear their voice. Would love to know how common effects like this one is done.
Super excellent video. You present the information in a way I understand immediately, no rewind to try to understand what the heck is going on. Great pacing, helpful information. Subscribing! Never know what I will learn that will be helpful even if it’s something I didn’t know I needed. 😊
This video is awesome!. Is one of the best video of compression that i see!. I really appreciate what you explain, i learn something really good!. I'm very thankfull, it will be an honour and really hellpfull if you can do one explaining the frequencies like the gain of recording and the noise that the microphone does because of the gain, and how to reduce it. Thank you :D
This is great- maybe you could organize your audio processing in Fairlight videos into a step by step playlist? As per your suggestion, I'm off to go find your video on cleaning up the sound before finishing this one!
