Just wanted to let you know two years later this video is still providing value. Great job on the grade. That glow is a cheat code I will be using immediately
Thanks for the video man! What do you do when it comes to exposing for windows? Do you just expose for the room and blow out the windows? Or do you go through the effort of masking and key framing to expose for both?
Interesting, I use gyro for my gimbal shoots since it got out and it seems to always outperform translation (less crop, less distortion etc) @@TheModernFilmmaker PS - Would love to see an updated version of this. I've been DoP-ing my whole career and am only now starting to get more hands on with colour grading, so am looking around for most specifically real estate tutorials :)
Windows can be tough! My best advice is to use a ProMist filter of some sort when filming. It will add more glow to blown out windows making it feel a bit smoother. 👊✌️
Thank you for the work through. 2 questions. I’m a beginner. 1. What do you click to zoom in and out? 2. What do you click to turn on and off the effects?
I know this video is a bit outdated, but man!! You just rocked the way I colorgrade for my real estate clients!! I was on the fense whether or not to go all in with Resolve and you've made that decision so easy!! So I love Final Cut but I cannot get the dynamic range and fine color tuning that I can do with Resolve.... This is gold brother! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing. Your grade turns out really nice. I was wondering why your grade was done in rec709. Do you have any suggestions on that? Keep it up 👍🏻 nice channel
Thank you @MAD 🙏 I graded this in rec709 because most realtors, designers or builders really just want videos for social media or their website and are not in need of HDR. I believe UA-cam is the only "social" platform to support HDR so unless my client is just uploading to UA-cam I typically color in SDR
"Glow" effect was a new thing to me - thank you for sharing this video although it's a little old! Also it's very helpful for someone who has the same setup! Cheers from Oakland!
Thank you!!! Use that on your drone clips and you will see a beautiful shift in your shots for sure. I am actually from the Bay! My grandfather still lives in Mill Valley, one brother is in San Fran in the city and the other is a DJ(DJ Notcurnal) in the Oakland area. Thanks for the kind words 👊✌️
@@TheModernFilmmaker wow I had no idea! Nowadays we never know who’s broadcasting a video like this from where so…. I’ll definitely try Glow effect on my drone shots next time!
Niiiiiiice. This is what i needed for my color grade and some really good small things i didnt even know about. Ive been just rushing though the edit before.
@@TheModernFilmmaker yeah, that’s a killer lens! Bro, you channel is fantastic. Binging your other videos as we speak. I’d love to see an “On location/shadowing” video going over your focusing/framing/etc techniques with the BMPCC6K. :)
Thank you bro! That is a great idea. I am planning to make a lot more BMPCC6K content in the near future. I have had it and the 12k for about a year now and use them every week. I'll get to work on this🙏 Thanks again 👊
Can’t get enough of your content brosky! I switched to Resolve back when I first started watching your videos
Thank you Joe!! That really means the world 🙏 keep creating my friend 👊✌
I’m switching to davinci after premiere pro lagging so much. Hopefully it’ll be better
I JUST has a friend switch over today and he has already been telling me that it's soooooooo much better

Do you use camera gyro stabilization now with bmpcc 6k etc?
I use "Translation" more than anything. I typically use my 6K on a gimbal and the gyro info doesn't seem to translate well in that scenario.

Wow this looks amazing! Any advice with windows?

Genuine question. Why so many nodes? Why not just edit everything on one node
Massively underrated creator. Appreciate your work ✌️
Thank you Mark!! I appreciate the comment 🙏👊
for the cannon fx3 which out would I select

Color grading...from the heart. I really appreciate your work.
Phenomenal video, I learned motte from this video than groom anything else I’ve seen. Bro keep it up!

Glad this helped! With a little extra time you can really set your videos apart. Thanks for the comment Kalle! 👊 ✌
@@TheModernFilmmaker looking forward to see more real estate content.
Fantastic video! What lens were you using while shooting this home? :)
Thank you Andrew! I was using a Tokina 11-16 f2.8 on the BMPCC6K. Great lens with almost zero noticeable lens distortion
