I can't tell you how many times I have watched this reaction. When the smile came to your face and your eyes opened wide it gave me goose bumps! You were so happy and it made me happy to see your face. I love this song, George was very spiritual, special and talented. I believe he was always searching for God!!!!
This caused me to read a bit about the Hindu religion. According to what I read, our spirit is often asleep inside us, and when it hears the names of the gurus being chanted, the spirit WAKES UP. It looked and felt like it when "hearing" this video.
I am not religious, but I am happy to see that after all these years, a Fab Four guy can still touch hearts worldwide at any age. In the end, whether it is The Beatles or their gifted individuals, they never stopped spreading Love, Happiness, Unity, and Peace through a unique style of music that has never been written before and will never be written again. A true legacy in our history.
I love watching your beautifully genuine reaction. When this album came out, I was 13. My family physically wore out the vinyl. This album was so different, refreshingly personal and emotional work. It got me through the challenges of teenage and young adult years. In 1974, I was on a high school class trip to Toronto. It included a visit to a local Hindu place of residence (like a convent or monastery). When we arrived, we were told that if we had arrived a few hours earlier , we would have seen George. I was glad to be there - knowing that some of his energy remained. I have so much respect for his work and am glad to see that the world was able to experience his music once he began his solo career.
I was 12 years old when this song came out and I loved it instantly. I’m 66 years old now and it’s still my #1 go-to song. So uplifting. George Harrison was such a gentle soul.
George touching souls from the grave. I love the way he accepted an entire faith, and just folded it in to his own, without any need for debate, or criticism. It's just another word for love, and another book about it. It's universal, not denomination specific.
George Harrison followed eastern spirituality and was a devotee of Krishna. He also honored Jesus, and others. In the middle of this song they chant the Guru mantra. His song "Waiting on You All" is about Jesus.
Have watched loads of reaction videos to this song, the poor yanks unfortunately don't get it and left me in despair until i found this one and it brightened my soul. Shanti my brethren.
How can ya not love this guy! You have light in your eyes my friend, and this reaction is giving the boost i need...you've made my day my friend! Cheers and harmony 🙏 ✌️❤ from Ottawa, Canada.
Great you liked the song because George Harrison converted to Hinduism in the 60‘s. He was also the guitarist of the Beatles, the best band ever. He has really good solo songs which you should check out in the future. Here are some songs to check out: What Is Life, Give Me Love, I‘d Have You Anytime, Beware Of Darkness
Great, emotional reaction. This song really stirs something within us. Don’t think anyone else pointed it out but George Harrison was one of the Beatles(you know, the most famous band in history). He became interested in the Hindu religion around 1965 or 1966 and it became a big part of his life. He has many great songs and his All Things Must Pass album (superb, incidentally) is considered by most critics to be the best post-Beatles solo album. I am a huge George Harrison fan and based on your reaction, I think you’d like the ATMP album (Disks 1 and 2) and a favorite song of mine from his Living in the Material World album - “Who Can See It.” It’s really I beautiful. Of course, I have lots of recommendations but I’ll limit it for now.
Lovely pure reaction! So happy to watch your video! George Harrison was a member of the worlds greatest and most famous band...THE BEATLES. George was a believer in the Hindu religion, but respected all religions. To quote Gandhi: All religions are spokes on the same wheel and the wheel is rolling towards God. If you loved this song you will probably love lots of Beatles songs, especially the ballads i guess. God bless you man!
Doja cat hits the top of the charts with a song called Demons. Geo. Harrison hits the top of the charts over 40 years ago with an ecumenical song about loving and connecting with God! How far we fallen as a society! How much we have forgotten God!
i always think of this song as 'the Gospel heard around the world', and your reaction perfectly encapsulates what is meant by that. this song always reminds me of someone setting off on a journey in search of a closer understanding of (and relationship to) God. he looks around, sees others traveling that same path, and he asks what God is like to them. then, they start traveling together, meeting others who may be calling it by different name... but they are ultimately longing for the same closeness, to the same God, in the same sky. the familiar (to his background) "Hallelujah" becomes "Hare Krishna". and it goes on to eventually embrace figures that would be obscure even to people brought up in those traditions (like your comment about some younger folks probably not even knowing who they were). at least, that's how it always sounds to me. also... i was especially taken by your reaction, because i think that yours is the first reaction to this song i've seen that gets the part where he steps out of his Judeo-Christian heritage, into another tradition of ideas about who/what God is. not gonna lie, it's disappointing to see people listening to this song, and scratching their heads in confusion about what's being said once it moves past just "hallelujah". i grew up going to a black church in the middle of Brooklyn, NY... and even i know what is meant when someone mentions "Krishna", so they have no excuse.
"Everybody is looking for Krishna. Some don`t realize that they are, but they are. Krishna is GOD, the Source of all that exists, the Cause of all that is, was or ever will be. As God is unlimited, He has many names, Allah, Buddha, Jehovah, Rama: all are Krishna all are ONE" -George Harrison

Thank you, Sir. I really enjoyed your reaction. You've raised a very valid point. There should not be a middleman between you and whatever G-d you believe in. The trouble starts when we stop listening to G-d and begin to listen to a person, obey and do whatever he/she tells us to do.
