I work for Bear and I can tell you that we all appreciate people like you who are letting others know if you can't buy the newest most expensive bow on the rack, you can have a great experience for less money. We pride ourselves on making great products at a good price, and I think you have been showing that potential.
@@scottdavis2133your not kidding the 2024 lineup is insane, the bear Alaskan xt or paradigm if your draw is over 30 inches is a killer value. Can't wait to get my hands on one!
That's an extremely virtuous view of the market. shitting on other products because it's not been the top of the line brand since the 50s or whenever Fred got it going just gets old and deters me and a lot of other people from wanting to even consider the product, y'know?
I bought a RTH combo as a Christmas Present for my Father in Law.... This test will like a stinger back bar and a drop away would have shown almost NO difference in a nearly 3k loadout
I put a qad rest and a single pin slider sight on my Bear Resurgence and it goes toe to toe with my Hoyt VTM. That being said I know quite a few budget Bear shooters using whisker biscuits and trophy ridge 4 pins that are absolute killers on the range and in the woods. No substitute for good shooting skills. I see too many new archers thinking a $500 dollar sight and $300 dollar rest on a $1500 bow is going to make up for inexperience and lack of practice.
Dude did you see Levi Morgan's video testing fletching at like 70-100 yards and hes blown away by how shooting a biscuit gives him like the same groups as a drop away 😂. If that human hooter shooter cant tell a difference......now he still says "am I gonna switch back absolutely not" but he cant give a reason why not lol. Biscuit for the win.
I shot my Bear Alaskan better then I shot my 1500 dollar indoor bow. Put some new strings on it and I might shoot that for indoor and 3D with just a longer stabilizer. Super impressed with Bear and what you get for the money.
The Alaskan is really nice. The bear strings are just a bother to try and tune right off the RIP I tell all our customers go shoot 200 arrows before you bring it back for paper tune and peep sight fine tuning cuz they just move so bad initially
@nicetryb0z0 I did and I totally agree with them. Now I hate paper tuning a whisker biscuit but I'll hunt with them without hesitation. It's an unforgiving rest. Any issue with your form, shot process, and bow tune and you'll see it magnified with a WB
As a novice archer, this was very educational. I’m shooting an entry level Bear Approach, and I don’t have a comparison to consider how I could improve my setup. Those video helped me understand the role that a stabilizer and other upgrades play in the overall performance. Thank you! You’ve earned another subscriber:)
I just recently got fitted for my first bow to hunt with, and I'm happy to say it will be the Adapt+. The FPS had me on the fence, as well as the peep sight on the string. Glad to see these things can be corrected with amazing results, can't wait to practice with my Bear!
0:01 I am currently shooting a Bear LS6. Kind of unforgiving but that should be expected. 5 in brace height and only 70% let off, but it is crazy fast. Major bow manufacturers all make pretty good bows, otherwise they wouldn’t stay in business very long. I have been bow hunting for 40 plus years and still love just flinging arrows in the back yard. I just subscribed, keep up the great content.
i think the biggest upgrade was not on the shopping list (you mentioned it at the beginning): you improoved your skills. would be intersting if you shot once more the old setup to get a sense of your level of improvement. furthermore, in comparison to this test, it would show if the upgraded gear has any benefitial effect
The real reason they put the tube peep on is because they use cheap strings. It's gonna constantly move on you, skip that stab set up and spend the 150 on a good custom string and cable set up, it'll do way more for you in the long run.
Niiicce! Bear bows have always been considered budget bows, however set them up properly and they will flat shoot! I see you’re digging the wrist rocket. May I suggest you try a T.R.U. Ball Centerline!?! I play with a lot of wrist rockets and I’ve been shooting this one a lot lately over all the other 10 or so I own from “budget” to “too much” price range!
I Just picked up a new old stock Bear LST in that anodized blue color. The bow had been sitting on a rack since late 2016. Going to shoot a local competition in September with it. It’s my first Bear bow and my first time doing archery in about 12 years.
Add bowjaxs to your string. If your peep moves, you just slide the bowjaxs a tiny amount. You can align your peep without a bow press in a couple seconds. QAD rest would be my first upgrade, too.
SO close just a better rest and back bar and you were there....for 1/3rd price...its primarily speed and sound/vibration is 20fps work 1600+ more? We all know its bragging rights..... I aporeciate what you attempted and enjoy the content thank you, and good shooting....
Totally agree about "just get a bow in your hands." I bought a Bear Encounter off Craigslist for $150 with a 6 pack of arrows and a hard case. I was absolutely garbage with it, but as I shot it and got comfortable and slowly upgraded the rest, sight and added a stabilizer I'm able to hit 4/5 ten rings at 20 yards consistently through a session. Next purchase is a Bowtech SS34 though 🤙

I can't understand that's a really good looking little compound bow but I can't understand why the consistency isnt there one way or the other you should be grouping better than that it's just like you're shooting the bow and they're all over the place like a shotgun spread I don't get it how can you sight a bow in when you can't get one Arrow to hit the same place twice
If you look he's shooting it so the fletching is hitting the bristles. Needs to turn it, that's not a normal whisker biscuit.
Your release is 100% your issue you pull clean thru and you get good shots... But watch your release bad shots release went off to the side rather than straight back they the wall
Less get it
Bro
First time ever watching your video so don’t hate me for saying the obvious thing here guy you need a coach
You need to dump the wrist strap release go thumb trigger but a coach will fix your shooting bad habits
