Great vids guys. So glad to see some non pretentious guys doing videos on here. Most of us guys can’t afford $1600 bows and it’s cool seeing you guys making shots like you do with bows that most of us actually own. Great personalities you’re fun to watch. Keep it coming. God bless
Picked up the Bear Legit for my first ever “real” bow (at 41 years old). Long time hunter mostly firearm and last two years a crossbow. You all inspired me to step up. Thanks for all the great videos guys!
I just wanted to say thank you to yall and ranch fairy . I watched a few videos last year I went and changed my arrow setup made them heavier and I'm using a 150 gr broadhead. All together my arrows weigh about 450 mostly bc I have a short draw but I'm killing deer with ease. All passthroughs in 2020 and I shot 2 bucks so I'm a happy man . Anyhow thanks again guys
It’s nice to see a big hunting channel use the same bow for multiple years. Most of the big channels get new ones every year. Your average hunter can’t afford that and it’s nice to see how the bows hold up after several years of use.
I just sold my mathews v3 and bought the whitetail legend love this bow we will be filming this year wentt back to the basics got some public land giants on cam that we are going to be after thanks guys for the inspiration
Been shooting a Bear Lights Out since 2008. Replaced the strings in 2015 but otherwise no updates. Super light, super smooth draw. No reason to change.
I noticed with Ted and Gregs bow, that they were very quiet when shooting...Ill have to check out the Bear Species...My first bow was a Bear back in 1988...Took it right out of the box and it shot amazing...Had a single pin and finger tab for a release...Loved that bow!
Been a while since I've seen an idler wheel. That bow looks tuned. 2 years ago I shot a 350 spine micro arrow with Ethics inserts that were 125 grains with a high grade 125 grain cut on contact broadhead. Last year I bumped it up to a 300 spine micro arrow with the Valkyrie 50 grain insert along with the 210 grain Valkyrie short Jag. It works like pees & carrots. 570 grains of fury with 590 grains if u choose to use a lighted nock. Right around 20% FOC & u can sure take the shot with full confidence on deer with that dreaded quartering towards u angle. Better than the quartering away which leaves u trying to punch through the pit of destruction where the arrow gets a much higher degree of force on it due to the front shoulder pivot action.
Just bought a new Bear Species last month from Bass Pro in Council Bluffs. Love it so far and can't wait to use it this spring! Next time I'm in Des Moines I'll definitely check out Archery Field & Sports!
I really appreciate all of your videos. You guys have me out there walking miles and miles in the state parks in Maryland. Just getting back into hunting after 30 something years and I love it. I just watch this video I hope you can do a special on explaining what he’s doing to tune up your arrows and your bow. Appreciate you guys.
Almost all my bows I setup myself and it took awhile . My last Bow I bought is a Hoyt Power Hawk love this bow and to take out the head aches of setting it up I let the Bow Shop help . This is what I`m saying go to a shop and let the pro`s help a lot quicker.
You guys are great! I’m making the shift this year to adult arrows as well. I’d love to know what kind of speed you’re actually getting with those arrows. Keep up the great work! Only 8 months till deer season!
I shoot a Bear Encounter. Got a drop away rest for next season. Trying something new instead of the stock whisker biscuit. It's like 6 years old or something... I forget
NOTHING like a new bow! Picked me up a brand new 2015 leftover last year👍 I'm loving it. Now to get my Turkey bow some new strings and higher FOC arrow/broadhead setup.
I wish more people would take notice that these guys are stacking up deer with mid range and budget priced bows. A $1200 bow doesn't do anything you can't with a $500 bow. At least not in the woods.
@@mattm7108 I don't have to because I know it's not. Might have been true 20 years ago, but not anymore. All of the bows used in THP videos are more than enough in speed and accuracy yo get the job done anywhere. Thats true of virtually all bows from major manufacturers in this price range, not just Bear.
@@jakekuehl9433 Not $700 better. Are certain aspects of top end bows better? Yes, but most of those improvements are minor. The vast majority of shooters aren't limited by a budget bow, they are limuted by themselves and the time they spend tuning their set up.
I laughed my ass off when the phone rang and Aaron said "gettin a bite" it made me think of Rut Daniel's "the art of sellin" video lmfao " don't let'em leave empty handed if all else fails.....get the customers email address"lol
Aaron here at our McDonald’s one pack of apple slices is 1$ also 2 packs of apple slices is also 1$ .... also I live in Myrtle beach, S.C. and hunt almost every day I know were there are a ton of pigs in a few different places within 30 mins of my house and would love for y’all to come hunt with me!! Have more tan enoug room for y’all and I forgot to mention it’s all public land!
Man I've really started shooting my old bow a lot lately. So much my bicep is hurting. But time like this I envy you small people. I can't afford the revolt xl right now to really get back in to bow shooting correctly. And my old dead eye way to short.
Would love to see some spot and stalk archery hog hunts. Season is all year long here in the south....and it’s a target rich environment. They are a worthy opponent.
I can see that you guys are near the Altoona area you guys ever need to sight in a rifle, shoot archery, or even shoot clays come on over to olofson range by Polk city
Should be shooting a bare shaft through that paper. Fletches have a chance to correct arrow flight before going through the paper. That guy should not have to move the rest all around like that. Twisting/untwisting yokes is the way to do it. Set center shot, put d loop @ 90* from string and rest with arrow running through berger hole and tune with cables.People should really learn how to tune a bow properly. Its as important as anything else.
I still have a sight similar to what that guy brought in, been using it since 1984. It's no different than the $200 sights now, only thing different is it does not have fiber optic tubes to light the pins. Are fiber optics worth another $180, hell no.
I see you're using four fletchings at the end of your bow. Now would it fly better as a straight Fletch or corkscrew Fletch . I was told a corkscrew fletching would straighten the arrow out faster and help with my grouping . What do you think ? Please let me know.
Crossing my fingers we get to see pig hunt soon , always cool to see your set ups and such ! Time to get some slock Tim , I'm sorry wrong channel 😊 LOL
Hey guys, with Turkey season coming up. A gear video on suggestions for turkey loads, what a suitable shot spread is for turkeys, and chokes to use would be awesome. I am new to turkey hunting and learn so much from your videos I have had success, but want to up my turkey game this year.
This is off topic but I was just looking into doing a public land sika deer hunt in maryland in worcester county and it would be cool to see you guys try a sika deer hunt
Warb, Not sure if you are still using the Cutthroat 150gr broadheads still but I was not to thrilled with them this year. The lack of blood on clean pass through double lung shots was very disappointing. I definitely will not use a broadhead without a bleeder blade again. The Iron will looks amazing but not the price tag.
With the increased number of fletch you are increasing the aerodynamic drag, does it affect the arrow velocity that much? And does the difference in stability make up for the loss in velocity?
This is why I like your channel you guys aren’t buying the best of the best brand bows witch appeals to the everyday hunter nice video
To be fair they use what they're sponsored by but yeah the reason they chose bear as a sponsor is bears mission to bring new archers into the sport.
you mean a channel where someone isnt shooting a mathews? those are pretty rare these days
How do you like the 4 fletch. Do you see better accuracy?
Bear is TOP of the line.
Dosen't have to cost $1000 to be a damn good bow
I feel like bow choice for men is alot like women picking a certain nail polish brand or color
I love my bow and bow hunting, I've been bow hunting for 35 years and I'm hoping to go hunting this year if the doctors can help relieve my back pain
I love the Bear single cams. I've had my Bear Venue for 6 years now. Smooth draw and very accurate!
Same here. My Tremor is about the same age and still shoots like a honey.
I still kill hogs and deer with a 2011 bear strike.

Been a while boys but seen new bow in title ad couldn’t resist, all hunting is great but throw a bow in the mix it becomes amazing!
Wow Ted smacks that trigger!
Best of luck in 2021 with the new bow Warb!

Love the vids, can’t wait to hear those gobbles this spring!!! Hopefully we have a lot of Longbirds down this season.
Single cams rock. Plenty fast and who needs the headache of two cams?
Shoot a new flagship Bowtech and/or PSE and prepare to be amazed.
Binary cams don't get outta sync
NOTHING like a new bow! Picked me up a brand new 2015 leftover last year👍

I'm still in love with my Spyder 30 , her name is Black Widow , she has a black riser .
I am always learning something new with you guys. Thank you!
Love these new bow vids and setups even just backyard shooting clips , keep up the good work 🦌🏹
You guys shoot really well! I punch the crap out of my hunting release and gave up the index for target shooting
Glad to see Ted trying to grow back a mustache
Anyone else waiting for turkey season
It’s the next season what else would I be waiting on lol
Still not over deer season 🤦🏻♂️
It never fails im gonna grab ny bow and shot every time you guys do these awesome bids I grab the old bow and fling a few love my THP
Love the single cam
Animal fat is good sub for string wax if you’re in the field. Good for rust prevention too on guns.

Why the switch from the whisker biscuit to the drop away Aaron??? Enjoy the channel!
