Top tier for music isn’t particularly notable among Destiny raid encounters lmao. Music pretty much always slaps. Oneirophobia goes hard but among final boss themes it’s honestly not that great IMO. Doesn’t hold a candle to Riven or Rhulk, I’d put Taniks over it as well because of how hard phase 2 goes. Personally I take Nez theme over Sanctified Mind but Sanctified Mind theme just isn’t my taste in the first place. Val Cau’or I’d put on par with Oneirophobia. Bear in mind every one of these tracks goes hard but as a raid final boss theme Nez was comparatively disappointing.

As he says, depends how you grade it. If you go by straight up how much time in the fight is dull then it’s closer to C tier. If the height of the experience is what counts then easy A tier. The experience of actually fighting Rhulk, especially on day 1, is so damn impactful that it overshadows the rest of the encounter to me. (Plus the DPS music goes so hard but we’re not counting music)
At 22:30 I realized they were playing music from each raid/dungeon, and GoS music by far is one of the most memorable as well as one of my favorites to listen to 🔥🔥

37:00 the best way to make the first part of rhulk fun is chaos method. It's fun watching the split go up and the whole team shoots to try and get the buff
Watching this video is so bittersweet because the only early D2 raid I ran was Leviathan and Last Wish. Never experienced any of the vaulted raids, and likely never will
a very important part of enjoying a raid boss for me (especially final bosses) is sense of scale; fighting a kaiju sized boss just hits different, why i love oryx, sanctified mind, riven and now witness; atheon, aksis and crota are up there as well but just not quite kaiju scale imo
Considering the unknown, turbulent future of Destiny, sometimes it's nice to just take a second and chat about the game. No meta discussions, no controversies. Just a nice talk about the stuff we liked over the past years.
Always miss the Prison of Elders. Classed as a flawless raid if done without dying and level 35 is still one of if not the hardest activities in D1 or D2
Golgoroth is the best encounter in the history of Destiny closely followed by Axis. Mechanics and movement and call outs were incredible. So satisfying. I remember when Kings fall first dropped and people did the calc for how much health Golgoroth had and everyone was like uhhhhh what?
23:50 I remember teaching 3 people while doing divinity run, it was late night because you know my team is a banana, we stuck like 8 hours in the raid. Then we get through to the third phase on the boss because again, everyone's damage is banana, then the tether literally stuck open and we cannot close it, and the only thing we can close it is to shoot Chaos Reach with it and it cause us to wipe, It is still will be my most forever hated raid of all time.
Just from an enemy design standpoint, rhulk has to be one of my faveorite the way he moves around the map and sashes twoards you feels like a dark souls boss
I hard disagree on the Witness fight. It’s S tier for me. You mentioned that you put it lower because you can have dedicated ad clear roles but that’s the same for golgoroth.
I agree with datto, every time I thought of a specific encounter in leviathan my immediate reaction was "trash" but I thought about it more and realized I loved most of these encounters. I just played it so often lmao
23:54 The biggest thing that I disliked about Sanctified Mind was when we'd get unlucky with Gambit teams and get the 15-mote enemy spawns twice and have motes clip through the floor, which made us have to send them through a third time The dark box on Sancti sometimes having the wrong color is also annoying as hell
