Wonderful Story! Thanks for sharing! People fail to realize that their were some whites that did stand up and help. Black History is American History and needs to be incorporated in schools more!

God Bless the Spirit of Clark Olsen. Additionally. Jimmie Lee Jackson, Rev. James Reeb, Viola Liuzzo and Jonathan Daniel who I knew personally. I remember the attack on Rev. Reeb and the other 2 as they were attacked by men ieaving the Silver Moon Cafe. I am a celebrated foot soldier that was arrested for the first time on Sept 24 1963 at the age of 14 in Selma Alabama. My brother was 17 years old and was a participant of Bloidy Sunday and hospitalized in the Burwell Hospital until that Wednesday. I was THERE and I KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. So much stiil have not been TOLD.

You need to write a book, start putting out a podcast, or record videos telling your story! Your stories need to be heard, need to be put on record! ...don't let these important stories die with you!

Clark Olsen passed away yesterday on King Day, January 21, 2019. How fitting. RIP, Clark.

"Really it's all of us who must overcome the crippling legacy of bigotry & injustice. And we shall overcome." - President Johnson, March 1965

But he perpetuated the "crippling legacy of bigotry and injustice" he talked about.
