I am almost 40. I use to love Fred Durst. I remember in high school my mom got my report card and blamed it on “Fred Durst and them” lol. I was a black teenage girl living in the hood and blasting Limp Bizkit on Saturday mornings. I still remember all their lyrics.
So I just turned 35. And in my “angsty teen years” which last all of about 2 years, I listened to Limp Bizket. As a much older adult and a fellow musician, I unironically love this.
Never cared for Nu Metal one bit but I actually like to see people getting up for this one. It actually looks like the exact same crowd of kids who were probably being born when Woodstock 99 happened.
The sands of time have reversed in a way I've never seen before. Basically about 75% of modern famous metal musicians under 40 cites LB as what got them into heavy music
The mix on this is so weak but the pocket is still there. One of the greatest live performances ever was at Woodstock 99. They were in another stratosphere
@@RevolutionMuscle If I had to guess, it's because of what the people in charge of Woodstock 99 pulled, where their extortion of the crowd and poor festival management made the crowd angry enough to riot (understandably), and then somehow got all the media outlets to believe that it was because of Limp Bizkit having a song called "Break Stuff."
@@RevolutionMuscle Ahhh….I would say because they have most of the original band members….and they have aged….ahhhh….I am around Fred’s age and I DAMN SURE don’t move as fast as I USED 20 YEARS AGO!!!!!

It's funny how he acknowledges how people forget about the verses of the song. Taken at face value, the chorus sounds like some machismo bad ass schtick but with the added context of the verses, it's really just Fred overcompensating for his heartbreak.
not gonna lie, new woodstock 99 documentary brought me here............ cool these 4 guys are still together and basically sound the same.... i own the first album but am intrigued what their new album will be like
Bruh…I have no idea how to word this. The fact that you came back is thing and I’m not sure I’m quite over that to begin with… Dude, just so you know, only Bowie and yourself came back this hardcore

I still love him for the great shit music he made but I cannot get over the whole old image look he put up, come on the rest of the band members still look so freaking cool at this era, just look at the freaking rolling stones
Fred durst is now the undercover cop from the Beastie Boys sabotage video
That’s what I’ve been screaming
You fuckin plagiarized my shit Son
Right 😂
Yeaaahh!!!
@@matthewhohenbery2287 I said it before you did.
Fred looks like he's embracing his age, unlike so many rockstars who desperately cling to their youth....that makes him cool AF in my book
id argue hes cooler here than the backwards yankee cap era
Naw man. He should have had this hair and stache back then with the red cap.
@@ACCthefirst Where's your evidence that it is Fxck nut?
Yep that's the joke. He did this look because people say he is to old.
I see your point. But he is dressed 60+ Fred is like 45
2021 and I just became a Limp Bizkit fan. Did it all for the Nookie.
I honestly never liked limp bizkit and I don’t know why watching bits of this set makes me realize they’re actually pretty dope
Me too
@@holybirdlibrary2633 welcome to the fam lol. First song I’ve heard from these dudes was in 1997 and ever since they’ve been kicking ass

Samesies! Except I lived in a country club haha

badass
Respect.
Fred Durst looks like Bad Grandpa now. Limp Bizkit is really one of the coolest bands ever to me they go hard
👍🏼
😀😀😀😀😀
Worse thing is we all do, some just not yet. I was 16 when this came out.
Fred is such a dad.
He's walking like a dad, he's talking like a dad, he looks like a dad.
He is a dad.
I wish I could have that dad haha
Dad vibes
Stick it up your ass!
That's a metaphor, don't put things up your butthole, well maybe.
Solid dad advice right there
Yeah but he rocks the stage like a beast
he's a daddy
So we’re not going to talk about how funky that intro is?!? I always love Nookie live just to hear that bass and funkiness over that hip hop beat
That voice doesn't age!!!!
uh.. yes it did. It used to have a lot of energy, now he's just talking into the mic.
@@imaboss7342His voice still sounds the same, he just doesn't have the same energy.
Wes really is the heart and soul of the band. 🙌🙌
So I just turned 35. And in my “angsty teen years” which last all of about 2 years, I listened to Limp Bizket. As a much older adult and a fellow musician, I unironically love this.
100 percent agree
Its because they embrace their sound and inage and have fun with it instead of trying to be overly serious like most other nu metal bands.
All good my friend we're all for the nostalgia......
Same. 36 in 4 days.
Fred is such a fucking legend
I want to go 20 years back after hearing this.
Wes is so Cool...STILL after all these years!
Love Limp and Fred...Keep Rockin'
Wes's looks get more and more extreme/strange as time goes on
He used to scream and whine. Now he’s telling you a story. Thank you for your wisdom, Father Fred.
😂
right? people bitch that vocalists "must" do vocals according to their age.
My man just came from a nice brunch and rocked the hell out of that set with his grass stained new balances
What a sick killer guitar rhythm. It never gets old.

Always loved this DopeAF tuunee and Wes Borland his costumes he designs and makes are fuckin' insane...Straight Fireee!!🔥🔥🔥

The mix on this is so weak but the pocket is still there. One of the greatest live performances ever was at Woodstock 99. They were in another stratosphere
Yeah this performance was a little too slow and low energy. I see the shows they do in europe and wonder why they dont bring that energy here.

"Death to plastic" he says into a plastic microphone, wearing a plastic jacket and plastic lenses. Good song though.

Is the guitarist Wes Borland? He looks different though
Solo Jhon Otto ya no está en la banda???
por lo que tengo entendido, fue papá hace poco y por eso no esta y lo reemplaza Pertzborn, pero no ha dejado la banda.
Need Sam Rivers bass higher in the mix. Wes sounds good in the clean sections but the guitar overpowers the mix when he turns on distortion
The clean guitar intro is a bit too quite as well
Festivals don’t normally allow for a soundcheck
I'm old. But I love it. Nookie
