Wes Borland is still imo one of the best guitarists around. Dude is insane. I saw these guys on what was arguably the biggest tour in the world at the time with Eminem, Xzibit and Papa Roach called the Anger Management Tour... man that was a lit show 🔥
Wes' playing style and approach is super unique, and I mean that in the best way possible. The unorthodox tunings, punctuating the songs with odd and dissonant chords, etc. Then when it's time to get heavy, he delivers. Of course he's very technically skilled as well. He almost seems out of place in a band like Limp Bizkit, and yet he's the perfect fit for what they do. Not a knock on the musicianship of the others, more a comment on LB's schtick/brand and how I see Wes' approach as not really conforming to what you'd expect for their guitarist.
Limp Bizkit woodstock '99 is without a doubt the most controversial and memorable show for these guys, but this one is really cool too... This band is on another level...🤙🏿🤟🏿🤟🏿😎
Most artists go through midlife crises when they hit their mid-40s, and either sell out, make their sound poppier, or keep acting like 20 year olds. Meanwhile, Fred has fully embraced his dad vibes.
Idk this mindset that people have scares me for when I get older, when I see people like Tommy Lee or Madonna I get excited that you can get older and still be openly the same person you always has been and still have fun and party as much as you want because that’s just who you are and then I see comments about how it’s not age appropriate and how if your like that then your trying to be 20 and it’s like what if people just aren’t typical stereotypical old people and still choose to live their lives freely and have fun
He is 50 now. In his mid-40's he had that song "Endless Slaughter" where he was saying things like "I'm a loser and a fucking love it" - and talking like he was half crazy. Idk, I almost think that was his mid-life crisis, now he's come out of it locked and loaded, ready to crush the second part of his life
He must of been inspired by KISS. He looks good man! My GF walked by while watching this and said "He looks scary". Yeah, that's the point. Look badass while putting out some sick guitar rifts!

The dude is absolutely insanely talented. I’ve met people that have said “yeah, I hate LB but their guitarist is great”. He’s absolutely crazy talented. On their first album he did all his parts without a pick
Seriously. Lots of built up rage from being quarantined for a year. This isn’t high art, but I’ll be damned if it’s not a healthy way to let loose, and re-find joy in life. How can you not smile to this?
Fred Durst era un adelantado a su época, lo censuraron por mucho menos de lo que pasa hoy en día... escuchando Limp Bizkit desde 1998 en Colombia, con MUCHAS ganas de verlos en vivo.
It's back. I saw Local H last night at Metro, a very small venue, and they were moshing, for fucking local H. I don't know, maybe it's just a Chicago thing now.
My Way is SUCH a good song, it makes me nostalgic every time i hear it. Say want you want about their vulgarity in songs and what not but these guys were and still are just amazing songwriters and musicians. And Fred Dursts voice is his and his alone.
Wes Borland is so fucking underrated its almost criminal. These guys come out guns blazing after years of being the butt of metal jokes only to prove they're finally in on the joke. Its amazing. Glad to see these guys coming around again.
@@Will-re9jl fair. I just think it’s a different version of that attitude. Like they don’t give a fuck about not giving a fuck. If that makes sense Haha

I don't give a shit what anyone says. Limp Bizkit still rocks. This performance proves it. Yes, they are older but this was WAY better than I expected. I remember buying the albums and listening to them with friends. I remember driving to Milwaukee and they had the "Titty Cam" for 20-30 minutes prior to the show. I remember Method man and Redman throwing baggies of weed into the crowd just to make sure everyone was ready for the main act. God those were the days. Thanks Limp Bizkit for being that band that was instrumental in shaping of my young adolescence music tastes.
Hell yes! I was 13/14 y/o teenager in the mosh pits. Limp was one of the best at getting that crowd crazy!! Love seeing him on stage again. Hope people finally appreciate this man haha
What's funny is a lot of people who bought Limp Bizkit CD's during the late 90s & early 2000 when they were popular now pretend to be the biggest haters, talk about how much they suck joining the bandwagon trend of hating Limp Biz. Smh🤣 These guys topped the Billboard charts with 2 of their albums for a total of 7 weeks. Not a lot of rock/metal bands can say the same thing these days with the mumble rappers, bubble gum pop artist, Ariana, Taylor Swift, generic Ed Sheeran, etc ruling the charts.
Nothing wrong with loving Limp Bizkit's jams! They're straight up legendary for raising energy to all kinds of insane for the fans, especially back at Woodstock 99 23 years ago, and I got plenty of love and respect for Fred Durst, John Otto, Sam Rivers, Wes Borland, and DJ Lethal, the one, the only Limp Bizkit!!! 🤘🤘
This was dope, but tons of artists has amazing live sets. I may be a little biased cause I see a lot of live music that isn't "big" names tho. Check out "Tauk" live set if you want something amazing.
Limp Bizkit came back at the right time, Nu-Metal has been revitalized through trap metal and I feel like Fred is having the last laugh seeing how much he really did influence music in the long run
Whole NuMet have influence on today’s music definitely like Kid XXXtentacion even he have a name song Slipknot. But yea I can see today rap Trap Metal they all try combine those type of music
I was impressed too, and see the variety of pedals he controls, but honestly, he's been proficient for at least 17 years. Also, there's a video here in UA-cam where he gives lessons.
The fact that Limp Bizkit is still headlining festivals in 2021 is amazing. Also, Fred embracing his dad vibes and Wes Borland still dressing up in his weird costumes.
Idk the drummers name but he filled in for soo many bands, Suicidal Tendencies and The Offspring are two of the best! Hes killing it, he really did Jon's parts justice.
I’m 31 in a few days and I’m reminiscing the past. Feels like yesterday (early 2000s) I was 8 when I got into LB. Brother brought home Chocolate Starfish from school and I found it in his blazer. I used to air drum/guitar to all their tracks. Those were the days.

He almost seems out of place in a band like Limp Bizkit, and yet he's the perfect fit for what they do. Not a knock on the musicianship of the others, more a comment on LB's schtick/brand and how I see Wes' approach as not really conforming to what you'd expect for their guitarist.
So proud of Wes finally coming out!!
@@notoprah13LB would be called a hiphop band if not for Wes
Limp bizkit is pure nostalgia. Chocolate starfish and the hotdog flavoured water is the best album ever.

Fred's outfit is phenomenal. Omg 😂 still killing it 20 yrs later!
Limp Bizkit woodstock '99 is without a doubt the most controversial and memorable show for these guys, but this one is really cool too... This band is on another level...🤙🏿🤟🏿🤟🏿😎
Wes Borland will always be one of my personal favorites. Dude rocks out
@RainbowDreams30 lmao it’s not the outfit it’s the man behind it. He has a creative guitar style, energy, etc.
Dude is the shit. From his style and energy to his licks.
Hell of a guitarist.
@@lotsapasta0858 Im sorry.... are you jealous that you didnt come up with simple riffs yourself. 3 dollar Chocolate Starfish for you.
Wes is a visual artist. Guitar is just one of his skills. He may not be ‘technically’ one of the best guitarists, but the whole package is elite
Most artists go through midlife crises when they hit their mid-40s, and either sell out, make their sound poppier, or keep acting like 20 year olds. Meanwhile, Fred has fully embraced his dad vibes.
When a dad plays an older man, hes called a fckn grandpa lmfao
He had me worried when he went through that Young Money phase. Didn’t suit him at all. This was a quality move from the big man.
Idk, I almost think that was his mid-life crisis, now he's come out of it locked and loaded, ready to crush the second part of his life
“OooHH pEoPle SeLl oUt HoW lAMe!!!! 🤘🤘”

They killed it at this show. 20 years later and the guitarist is still rocking the weirdo style

He must of been inspired by KISS. He looks good man! My GF walked by while watching this and said "He looks scary". Yeah, that's the point. Look badass while putting out some sick guitar rifts!
Wes Borland is a badass. His guitar style is what makes LB
Im sure literally some of that people died because of covid :v

I don't give a shit what anyone says. Limp Bizkit still rocks. This performance proves it. Yes, they are older but this was WAY better than I expected. I remember buying the albums and listening to them with friends. I remember driving to Milwaukee and they had the "Titty Cam" for 20-30 minutes prior to the show. I remember Method man and Redman throwing baggies of weed into the crowd just to make sure everyone was ready for the main act. God those were the days. Thanks Limp Bizkit for being that band that was instrumental in shaping of my young adolescence music tastes.
