Excellent. Could you expand on this a little and show us how to maybe adjust the MoCap date to get a more unique walk and then a little more on changing the clothing and maybe the faces and hair to ad more unique variation into our crowds.
Very good tutorial. Would love to see the solution with integrated thinking particles. The normal particle emitter for example already fails in shooting out particles in different directions (angle).
To be fair you could just use a cloner and a random effector with a pre cached walk cycle object. Obviously not as simple but I am sure there is a tut for it.
@@AshleyGlover Totally could work depending on what you're doing! All the avoidance features and stuff put this a notch above though, plus you can use kill the particles once they leave the scene and the crowd will just keep coming as long as the emitter is going!

I'm just starting to explore it and while working on what I thought was beginners animation - Flock of birds, I found that things are getting harder then I expected. After running a simulation for a while some birds are starting to turn upside down... Is there a neat way to restrict rotational movements on Y/Z axis so they wouldn't twist upside down? In other cases I would search for up vector, however I also couldn't find it in X-Particles. Thank you in advance and have a nice day!

Awesome tut, i have a football stadium project and i want to generate a crowd, i did it with redshift proxy but i cant randomize the timing between clones and its too heavy project file, can you help me how i can randomize the clones timing and not intersecting with each other, i don't have X-particles plug-in and i didn't use it before :( am stuck in the project

Great tutorial... i have a question? im doing a scene with a guy running with a sword and shield but they do not stick to the mesh im using a character from daz studio my clothes are find but not the accessories i did notice that the items did not have skin deforms to them can you please elaborate if you can..

THX for the great Tut...BUT I can't seem to bake the animation on the character with the Point Cache Tag. It seems it's caching the animation but when I put it on the solid mesh nothing happens. Any ideas?
if you are adding the point cache to a copy of the mesh, have you made sure it has the exact same point count (be sure to disable 'weld' on the connect object) ?
