    Look at his eyes. There’s no emotion there at all.
    The man was dead inside. Void of all feeling.

      By human standards it always tend to start at home so his mom, bless her soul 🙏🏾 couldn't believe he was so capable of such. Ted was IQ efficient. Basically outsmarted his own household 🤷🏾‍♂️ 💯

    These old news reels are fascinating. I don't get why the Lake Sammamish witnesses could not identify Ted from his driver's license phoro.

      Because you are literally seeing a person for seconds and you're not really focused on them, then you see a driver's license photo it's hard to be sure!

      Bundy's Utah driver's license photo looks nothing like other photos of him. He had an uncanny ability to change his appearance when the need arose. There are several photos of him laid out on a single sheet of paper and he looks different in each one of them. The Lake Samammish witnesses even said he spoke with a fake slightly British accent.

    Thanks. Carol, for this. When "Liz Kendall" re-published her MY PHANTOM PRINCE, I saw how frustrated she'd become by speaking frankly to police, only to have them LIE about her statements and manufacture confusion for the public and within the investigators. Investigators believed that one policewoman who either confused or lied about Liz's statements. I gather the "Cover Yer Ass" motive was in higher gear for those authorities rather than "Serve & Protect The Public." I see the effect of their choice.

      About Sammamish witnesses not recognizing (or coming forward about) about Ted.
      The police had to legally segregate witnesses from comparing note (AND giving supportive comfort, "Yes yes, you're not crazy - that's what I saw, too") plus the horrific juridictional pissing-contests that infiltrated law-enforcement (into what decade ?? has it EVER stopped ??) were all good reasons for Sammamish witnesses to turn and walk away.
      As far as I've read, there was only one witness who saw Ted approach more than one girl, and that was apparently scattered from MAYBE Murder #1 to hours later, Murder #2. But she wasn't there to study one or a few individuals - just having fun with friends and people - not person - watching. And it took so much time before those witnesses received confirmation of the worst news: they had indeed 'escaped death'. Having that time elapse probably was a good excuse for the police to not press forward with their investigation. And considering the shabby, mistaken investigation into "Liz Kendall's" statements, it was probably just as well.

    This is useful to note how many facts the news gets wrong. How hard is a car's color to get right? That VW wasn't brown anyone who saw Ted's bug somewhere would hear "brown" and Ted gets one more chance to escape.

  • @Romulan2469
    @Romulan2469 27 днів тому +5

    Ted Bundy should have been stopped many years before. He caused far too much hurt and suffering because of incompetence by the authorities in not keeping him behind bars.

    • @jaysonbloser538
      @jaysonbloser538 26 днів тому +3

      I'm surprised that after Bundy was convicted and sentenced to death here in Florida, Colorado still tried to extradite him. He had escaped twice from there. The governor of Florida refused to let Colorado have him back. One of the reasons why prosecutors here in Florida wanted to try him here was because they believed that the cases against Bundy out west were weaker than the ones here. They also wanted to put a stop to Bundy once and for all.

    • @Romulan2469
      @Romulan2469 23 дні тому +1

      @@jaysonbloser538 Agreed. Florida saw that for the first time they had direct physical evidence linking Ted Bundy to the crime scenes at Chi Omega (the bite mark on Lisa Levy) and at Lake City (fibers from Ted and Kimberly Leach in the van and fibers from Kimberly on Ted's clothes). Ted was unhinged by the time he was caught in Florida because of years of incarceration beforehand and getting overconfident. I would still like to have seen Ted go back to the other states to be tried, but, ONLY after his two convictions for the Chi Omega and Lake City murders, and NOT for those states to take him into their custody should he also have been found guilty. Here's my reasoning. The other victims of Ted Bundy, and I think perhaps the strongest case with regards to circumstantial evidence was with Caryn Campbell (Colorado ski country brochure in his flat had the Wildwood Inn circled where she last disappeared and his credit card showed he was in the area). I think he could have been convicted for that, but yes the evidence was so much weaker there it could have gone either way. Florida made the right call, but I do wish that justice could also have been delivered for the other victims of Bundy in other states. It's a shame so many of them outside of Florida never got justice, despite Bundy's conviction and execution in Florida.
