When I first heard Buckethead as a kid, I always said to myself "I have to be as good as him". Well, 12 years from learning the guitar alone, I'm nowhere near as good, sometimes anxiety still kicks in how not good I'm at it sometimes (especially when it comes to solos). But then I learned that this isn't a competition, not a game to win, It's all about giving yourself (stereotypes aside). Buckethead music literally leaves you in a trance and you can’t stop listening even if it’s 30 minute song. On top of that His instrumentals are incredible therapy for hard times especially break ups. His music speaks to me

And he put it on his control pad! He's definitely the GOAT in my book
I’ve listened to buckethead for years and never knew he was so humble and down to earth. It is crazy to see any one with that type of talent and not have an ounce of cockiness in them. PSA: Buckethead has had ten of his “most important guitars” stolen and needs help finding them or similar instruments. There are a few rock magazines that have posted stories about the theft if you want more information to help.
Buckethead manages to throw so much emotion into his songs without even saying a single word. He's the reason I put a killswitch on my guitar, he's such an amazing guitar player, such a unique player, he's emotional but silent, and manages to kill every solo he plays. Awesome video. I love your commentaries BD. Also wanted to mention, your video on Buckethead versatility and time signatures could include a few extra tracks. While Buckethead definitely prefers to rock out in common time, he does briefly switch to 3/4 time near the end of Oakridge Cake. And he also plays with the time signatures in the intros to The Moss Lands and Ramp Ahead. Just FYI. Of course, I'm still working my way through his plethora of songs so I'm sure there are other examples. Keep the videos coming man!
I was lucky enough to see him in philly in 04 with c2b3. Probably best show of my life. There will be a time in the near future when he is acknowledged. Young guitarists are learning of him.
Buckethead is literally one of the best person and guitarist in the world! When I first saw him live in concert, I had to travel from the other side of the ocean( I’m from Italy, in Europe) to Florida, and first of all I was so happy to have done so many miles and finally see my hero! So I prepared something like a big piece of paper, to show to him that the love for his music could arrive very far far away! He notice me, and he let me play the Killerswitch for first!! He came directly to me, to lend his guitar over my head! I was dying inside for the emotion! Thank you so much Big B, as always you give the best to all your fans, and we can’t love you more, day after day!!! And thank you also Buckethead Disciple for your amazing videos!
As a fan of music I really like his style and the sound he has. His guitar playing in Chinese Democracy is very unique and rocks. He is respected by guitarist so that should mean alot.
1st show I saw was when I was 14.. I’m 36 now, and have probably.. 60 toys..? I am always making myself known at his show and will literally take in his energy with my fingers.. one night, I didn’t get a toy.. I was almost baffled, but was there the night before and that day was good old Valentine’s Day. Instead of dragging my GF atm to a show.. she surprised ME with 2 tickets for round 2.. and when he ended the show, he grabbed a stuffed bear that says “Be Mine” on a heart. Walks up to the crowd, and then was trying to hand it to my gf.. so many ppl were trying to get it he backed off.. I yelled “I WILL GET HER THAT BEAR!” And allowed me to scuffle for it as I handed my gf HIS VALENTINE! Still probably best moment of the over 100 shows I’ve seen and how the audience has grown.. everyone in awe over Soothsayer.. I don’t think they’re bandwagoners.. just late bloomers that didn’t get the privilege to own Bucketheadland before it became extremely rare and 2 discs at lowest price of $100.. we listened to that album every day after school and I became a very good guitar player after the first night I saw him and inspired me to actually PLAY and not just love music. He is the GOAT and you could give 100 more reasons. Great video my man.. the interviews with Maximum Bob.. Deli Creeps is still one of the greatest bands he had a project with.. but hard to beat CCBOBB.. I mean.. Claypool, Bucket, Bernie, Brain AND MORE on one stage was unforgetful to say the least.
Being a good person with incredible talent, humility, and a truly kind heart puts him on the top of my list. I didn’t know any of this but now I’m a fan - I wish him love, happiness and great health.
I have seen Mr Head. Agree with you - he is totally underrated and I’ve always made the same argument that you’ve made….. he could be considered the greatest of all time. He is amazing on many instruments and his technique is insanely unique!! Great Vid!!
Wooow my son show me this person a few days ago..I'm feeling so blessed to get to know his art.. great human... We need more people like him in this world..
i was at a show first row and someone gave him a basketball figure and without seeing his face there was so much emotion shown...buckethead you are unlike anyone and we love you dearly.
May he have better health and a happy personal and professional lives.... Many things I didn't know about him I learned by watching this video.... What an inspiring person.... Thank you for this video.... Thank you BH
He’s my main inspiration as a guitarist. His tone is so iconic I can recognize it anywhere. So much it can be compared to a human voice’s identity. He straight up plays his heart out.
I seen Bucket in my hometown in 2008 and it melted my heart lol he was in his prime for shredding then. plus a few times since. I want to see him post covid so bad. I remember seeing him on MTV years and years ago too as a kid with GNR.
My 7 year old son this w-e : Dad, can we go to a Buckethead show? Me: Sorry, as far as i know he rarely plays in Europe. Son: Well, lets fly to the US then 😂
@RJ mi yeah will probably do it one day. He also has other bands on the list like Vio-lence or AC/DC. Guess the first stop we will do toghether will be a Death Angel show when they are around the next time. Since my Kids know Mark, i probably have to take the 4 year old sister to the show as well 😂

He's way too real for that. It might go against his values of sharing his talents with the world if he's playing a 10 minute show with an unplugged guitar to a pre-recorded track at a venue where tickets start at $3k a pop and sponsored by a beer company. Still be pretty sweet.
please read! iv'e been a BH fan now since 2006, iv'e produced lots of buckethead artworks, oil paintings, and he has been one of my guitar hero's when i used to play. I've always, since I first heard him, thought he was simply the best ever. Honestly I can't think of anyone else who could conceivably be placed above him. There are plenty that could be argued for the number 2 spot, but there's only one Bucket
Seen him 5 times and worked security for 2 of those times. I protected the stage one time, and he plays so fast, he puts his fingers in ice in between every other song!!!
Im glad all of buckethead's fans understand one another. truly music is so powerfull only in a billion a bucket is born to remind us the beauty of life and his music
He has my vote, because being the GOAT is much more than being good at one thing (e.g., the instrument). He’s light years ahead of others in other categories, no matter how good the others may be. New found appreciation for him thanks to this video. Much appreciated.
I've seen a ton of live music and, he kills it live better than anyone I've ever seen. I think he's the greatest because you can tell if you know, he loves music and playing guitar, more than any of us could possibly understand. He's the most eclectic, diverse, most physically and mentally practiced, he isn't nailed down to any style he is a master of many fusions. Seeing him live got me putting way more of everything into my guitar playing. He makes us all better...
Ive listened to both buckethead and maximum bobs interviews it would be so awesome if they did one together out of character like that just bob and brian....getting bits and pieces of the history from both of them is rad but just hearing them both tell it straight up and together would be amazing
I recently started listening to him while going through a rough patch in life. I have known about him for a long time but never listened. I instantly felt something stir inside me so I have been doing reaserch about him. The more I find out the more I feel he was put in my life for a reason. I have always liked “weird“ bands like Primus and Gwar but his music just hits me differently and finding out what a great person he is makes me like him that much more!!! Rock on Buckethead🤘
it's kinda heartwrenching to see how decent of a person he is and know, at this very moment, he's probably alone somewhere recording, a little hungry, a little scared, and certain the only thing he can do to carry on is play. he is in love with a family and childhood that every day is another day between now and when he lived it.

Really great work! What a great compilation, you hit every point. Job well done! Thank you.
Buckethead is just Keanu Reeves’ alter ego
Or he's Keanu Reeves on stilts...
You're all breathtaking!
Keanu Reeves has a band “dog star” and they’re pretty boring😅💦
As a fan of music I really like his style and the sound he has. His guitar playing in Chinese Democracy is very unique and rocks. He is respected by guitarist so that should mean alot.
On point 73, you are absolutely right. Listening to the albums like Colma or Electric Tears I can't even count how many times I cried.
Being a Guns fan, I heard of Buckethead on "Chinese Democracy" he's Incredible
It's so funny how we can identify him playing so clearly in that album, so sad slash is butchering all of his solos.
You managed to get me emotional with that last segment, while I was here, taking a shit 😂😂😂, now with tears in my eyes.
I found him through guitar hero back in my highschool days and boy am I greatful of that! :D long live BH!
an incredible guitarist & one hell of an enigma...
Nothing but facts for 12:33 long
My 7 year old son this w-e : Dad, can we go to a Buckethead show? Me: Sorry, as far as i know he rarely plays in Europe. Son: Well, lets fly to the US then 😂
That's a smart boy!!!!!!
@RJ mi yeah will probably do it one day. He also has other bands on the list like Vio-lence or AC/DC. Guess the first stop we will do toghether will be a Death Angel show when they are around the next time. Since my Kids know Mark, i probably have to take the 4 year old sister to the show as well 😂
I’ve run out of adjectives for the Bucket man he’s just on his own level I love him he’s Hotter than Cayenne baby 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Paul Gilbert is Buckethead
Buckethead is Paul Gilbert
Look at 'em
ll)lllllllllll)l))
Im such a tool...all these years and i just found him. I grew up with satriani...thank you for this video. I have many weeks/months ahead of me to catch up 🔥
Subbed ☮️
Agreed.
For what it’s worth he’s on mine.
For 20 years.
Love his Bootsy & Bernie phase.
All of it is mind melting
Such a great artist. Love his songs....I would like to see him live someday.
I would love to see him at a super bowl appearance 🙏
Never happen tho i bet. Wood be a gift from God a real treat but we will never see that. People r missing out when they do not experience what is buckethead is is isa s🧠💣💢💥 error error, overload........🤦♂️
He's way too real for that. It might go against his values of sharing his talents with the world if he's playing a 10 minute show with an unplugged guitar to a pre-recorded track at a venue where tickets start at $3k a pop and sponsored by a beer company. Still be pretty sweet.
Wwbd? Lol
please read!
iv'e been a BH fan now since 2006, iv'e produced lots of buckethead artworks, oil paintings, and he has been one of my guitar hero's when i used to play. Thank you for making these videos, someone had to do it and you do an amazing job at really showing who BH actually is....thank you!
if you wanna see any of my BH oil painting you can check them out of my channel.
although those ones are old, ive newer pieces on my instagram of the same name.
shaindarkart.........BUCKETHEAD FOREVER!!!!
I've always, since I first heard him, thought he was simply the best ever. Honestly I can't think of anyone else who could conceivably be placed above him. There are plenty that could be argued for the number 2 spot, but there's only one Bucket
I saw him while he was with G n R. I don't think I took my eyes off him for the whole 3 hours they played. He was mesmerizing.
I saw him live about a year or so ago. Truly amazing! I’d like to hear what he could do with black metal. It would be interesting as hell
I didn’t know anything about bucket head. I am in awww with this man. A true man! The world needs more men like him!
Since I started playing 10 years ago, buckethead has always been one of my favorite guitarists of all time.
Buckethead just makes you feel feelings that you didn’t know you could feel, both his music and him as a person
Ive listened to both buckethead and maximum bobs interviews it would be so awesome if they did one together out of character like that just bob and brian....getting bits and pieces of the history from both of them is rad but just hearing them both tell it straight up and together would be amazing
Buckethead Disciple HAHAHA Cheese and Chrysler And every last one of the 12 apostrophes!!!¿¿¿
Buckethead is my favorite person after Jesus
im not convinced he isnt jesus
U have good taste. Good dudes.
Lol
Best comment ever
I recently started listening to him while going through a rough patch in life. I have known about him for a long time but never listened. I instantly felt something stir inside me so I have been doing reaserch about him. The more I find out the more I feel he was put in my life for a reason. I have always liked “weird“ bands like Primus and Gwar but his music just hits me differently and finding out what a great person he is makes me like him that much more!!! Rock on Buckethead🤘
try this ," Sonar Rainbow "
Buckethead is so heartwarming. He is too good for this cruel world we live in.
the more i learn about him,the more i like him.hats off to you bro.🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎶🙌
Great video! Thank you for taking the time to make it!
Dude I HAVE THAT ORANGE CHAINSAW. LOVE BUCKET FOREVER
it's kinda heartwrenching to see how decent of a person he is and know, at this very moment, he's probably alone somewhere recording, a little hungry, a little scared, and certain the only thing he can do to carry on is play. he is in love with a family and childhood that every day is another day between now and when he lived it.
What are you talking about? He's doing very well, health and money wise. He's neither hungry or alone. Where did you get that idea
Great video, love Buckethead, Hi from Scotland.
Buckethead has been a huge influence on me since day one of my guitar playing
Thank you Buckethead.Your music is an inspiration to all.We are lucky to have you .Keep rocking🤘
peace✌
