It is amazing and all but.. why did the villains need the other half of the map? The map doesn't even show how to get to the location, it just shows the location. Are they that dense that they can't understand where the location is in the world without looking at the other side of the world (the missing part of the map)? Makes no sense, but oh well.
True, but often the path to get there is just as important. Seeing as it took the two heroes their whole lives to get there one can assume it was incredibly far away and it wasn't as simple as just knowing where the final destination was. Imagine if you lived in England in the 1500's and found half a map to a treasure that ended in what is now California. It would be much easier just to take the other half from whoever has it rather than just winging it.
I love how they snuggle with each other instead of the girls they had with them in the last scene,it shows that they have a real bromance going on,I also like the combination of medieval and industrial/modern,it's almost like this takes post apocalypse and some things from the old world like electricity and running water are still around, but in other ways humans have returned to a more medieval style of living...
Dicky Moe First of all, it is a Japanese animated series, not Chinese. Often stylized "anime," Japanese animation usually sticks to a fairly recognizable pattern, featuring cartoonishly large eyes and small noses, but varies greatly in individual stylistic choices, some bringing themselves all the way to hyper-realism. It tends to have more well-developed, three-dimensional characters and mature storylines, as in Japan, animation is not thought of as a children's medium, and children and teen's shows are more detailed and violent as Japan's standards are different from the West's. Second of all, it may not be your cup of tea, but Gurren Lagann happens to have a rather well-executed style. Anime's stylistic choices may not sit well with everyone, but for me, growing up watching it, it is hard to adjust to Western animation.
