‘’My God - One of our best songs in the set Because we re-arranged it, it feels different. We put a new middle section in where the flute solo was. We do Palladio by Carl Jenkins Absolutely seamless - it works so good’’ - Martin Barre - Classic Album Review - interview 30th May 2022
Super cool interlude/flute solo replacement. My God, that sounds badass! Thx tor the info, Rob. FYI - Your videos of Martin and co. have inspired me. I will be seeing the band In humble little Rocky Mount, VA, then the three guitarist “unplugged” on Halloween in the state capital at a small, intimate venue. Very pleased with these plans!
That’s for sure, but now he doesn’t sound much different than this guy. Who at least has a little broader vocal range than today’s Ian. Which is very sad.
But it was Ian Anderson who disbanded not M Barre , Ian Anderson crated a very band band by firing the old team mates, Martin Barre is irreplaceable, Ian Anderson is disgusting person he was my idol until he disbanded Jethro Tull.
But finally, without Ian Anderson there is no My God. Or anything else in the Tull sector of the Martin Barre playlist. I wish Martin was still there too. But this song has certainly been addressed with authority with no Martin beginning in about 2004. Not sure if folks have forgotten that between 2004 and 2011 at least one third of the annual shows by Ian Anderson were not Tull shows, they were Ian band shows. It's not like he pulled the likes of the highly talented Florian out of his arse. By 2011 Florian had already been with Ian for what...at least 6 years. And when it came time for TAAB 2 I understand Martin expressed little interest. I can see where that would be a problem for Mr Anderson when you have another enthusiastic player who may not be so far removed in talent from Martin as many estimate.
@@raybrettman9618 Ian was a master we all love/loved ,but Martins musical DNA was as much Tull as Ian. . Florian is a fine player and god bless his fortune to have landed such a great gig for an up and coming picker . BUT Martin spent his working life crafting the songs into the music that touches us as Tull devotees.. I say this often , Ian was the stripper ,but Martin was the pole .
Only the real Martin Barre can play this with his flare and dynamics.
This was incredible live especially with the show I saw last night with Clive Bunker in Greensburg, PA. Spirit of Tull is alive and well
Thanks Michael, some great shows thats for sure.

Love it, Martin!
Awesome
Awesome !!
This is great. So much of the spirit of Tull alive in this performance.
Great concert I was there in Largo on the 13th
Saw that tour. Fantastic !
Glad you enjoyed it
So much fun!
Couldnt agree more
Very good! :)
Thank you! Cheers!
Anderson was a one off, let's face it, there is no replacing him. Good with that out of the way we can focus on the GUITAR!!
That’s for sure, but now he doesn’t sound much different than this guy.

Great version.
It certainly is
Just saw the CT show. Outstanding. Dan was exceptional.
the whole band are great
cant wait for them to come to Canada
Not long now!!!!
Rediscovering Martin is like Rediscovering Tull. He has changed a bit since I saw Tull in 69.
as have all of us!
I like Dan's vocals but admit that he is difficult to watch 😆
Martin sounds great. This singer sounds like a bad karoke version of Ian Anderson
Without Anderson flute is almost flat, sorry....
But it was Ian Anderson who disbanded not M Barre , Ian Anderson crated a very band band by firing the old team mates, Martin Barre is irreplaceable, Ian Anderson is disgusting person he was my idol until he disbanded Jethro Tull.
Singer just paralyzes this band. He is awful. The women are so much better.
I totally disagree with you.
One hundred percent
@@williambaldridge1203 - cool 😎
Where is the flûte ?
Whisout Ian it is not My God
same on the other one! Without Martin is not my god!
Ha ha ha this is the best contrary comment ever

And without M Barre there is no Jethro Tull.
