Great performance! Martin slays and the band is TIGHT!
Best rendition since Tull was prime.
Great stuff. Best prog rock album given a new lease of life. Martin better than ever. 🤗
Martin brings new arrangements to Tull's classics and keeps them fresh. And... Much better attitude and performance than actual Tull crew. It is great to listen.. Soo light, playful and innovative. Closer to younger people than us. I love it.
Martin and his band are a 'must see' live.
Absolutely amazing ❤
Love this tune, the lyrics paint a portrait a scenario, and a storyline. Nice to hear a master still at it.
Great! Probably, the most underrated guitar player in history!
Martin Barre is prog rock's all time MVP.
His tone is great. Much cleaner than in the live Tull videos I’ve seen. I saw the Tull in the mid-70s, before Anderson’s voice deteriorated. They were fantastic.
Yeah! You are right there, fantastic.
Great lead vocals. Martin Barre is still amazing.🎸👍
....OMG, brought me back to the Inglewood Forum/ 1972....Thick As A Brick took almost an hour and a half, it was brilliant as was this cover. Thank you Martin for doing this, almost made me cry....
Glad you like it. Go ahead - Check out some of her others on my channel
Oh HELL yes.
That was awesome
Well done,Martin,great sound 👏👏👏
Been a JT fan forever seen many times live. This is outstanding. Thanks for the post.
Thanks for the support - I am constantly surprised at the bands energy and enthusiasm
That is an awesome version, took me back to the ‘70’s when Tull rocked my world!
One of the best!
Kudos to the vocalist. I'd hate to follow in Ian Anderson's footsteps, but he does justice to the material here.
Martin is just as much Jethro as Ian. Nick is as much Floyd as Roger, David, Richard or even Syd and Steve Hackett as much as Phil, Pete, Mike and Tony. Nothing is missing that can't be made up. Excellent rendition. Thanks Martin for keeping Tull alive. Naysayers, you still have your HipHop.
50 years from now nobody will remember HipHop but people will still listen to Jethro Tull - thanks to Martin!
How true that is - quite right

Agreed
From a Tull Head since 1971 ☮️
> Martin is just as much Jethro as Ian.
I like Martin too, but not hardly.
@@johnthonig8832 I've been a Tull head since 1968🤗.
These guys are getting better I will say that ... it's better.
Great Band.
Excellent
first class martin. no one could replace you in tull, no jethro tull without Martin.
Martin Barre = GREAT GUITARIST
He's the business
Nicely Done
Nice!! Go Martin go. Haven't lost anything bro. Great band too! I'll be there when you make it to my town.
He's the Bees Knees.
In Victoria BC, 7/21/22 - I can hardly wait!

Will they tour in Texas?
Buena música mr Martin y una gran banda! Saludos desde Valparaíso Chile!
Hola, gracias por las amables palabras. El Sr. Martin Barre es sin duda un maestro. La banda también está en forma.
Super Martin Barre, the powerfull 🎸. Thanks for share.
Hey - The Band are Soooo cool. Their the next thing going.. Shame he cant do the UK. But Hey there''s always laters.
I smoked many joints while listening to Tull in the 70s and 80s.
I now prefer edibles at 67 years young
☮️🤔😀
Nice recording.
Thanks
Martins wah wa on "we used to know" untouchable
you're not wrong there. - Brilliant.
A true master on the guitar! Without him we wouldn't have JT!
And yet we do have JT.
Ian Anderson on harmony Lead Guitar ? Who'da thunk it ? Great sound Martin has happening.
Does anyone know what guitars they are playing ? P.R.S ? (Paul Reed Smith)
*_75 and Tack Sharpe._*
John buell, he probably wrote 'em
50 years ago this was great. It's not 50 years ago...
Seriously, what changed? These guys have been playing pretty drudgey for years, this is great -- 8:04 -- much better arranged and played. Nice that they highlight Martin's guitar more, and Martin is more consistent in his playing. Love Martin's playing, except the overuse of these parallel thirds ... it's too much.
No follow up questions please - but here’s some info TAAB Re-Issue of 40yr Box

I could really do without the singer trying to "do" Ian Anderson with his expressions and mannerisms.
NO FLUTE???
Why is Martin begging the audience to come back? That sounds a bit desperate.
Luckily Tony Iommi didn’t stay at Jethro Tull. Martin joined the band as his replacement. This is proof of how great a genius Ian Anderson was. Thick as a Brick is a musical masterpiece.
Tony played like three songs on one live performance. He was never a member of the band.
Lucky for Toni Iommi he didn't have to deal with Ian Anderson's ego. Tony is every bit as great a guitarist as Martin.
@@josephesposito3499 Tony Iommi is a really great guitarist but Martin Barre is also amazing.
@@traviswoodall6547 He didn’t record with Jethro Tull but was part of the lineup.

From what I read Martin Barre was a self starter guitar player right from the beginning given the gift. However playing art rock likely cant really relax or you miss the change so detail
oriented, Blues on the other hand if your good enough player? drink 3
pint's and get away with it, maybe Evan enhance the singing guitar
solos
Missing a flute and a distinctive lead singer, like Ian Anderson. Make up with Ian, Martin, and join him on tour as the real Jethro Tull.
Anderson gave him the boot after 50 years.
LOL..Ian can't sing worth a damn for the past 25 years at least.

He did a 50 year concert and acted as if there was serious dementia issues. I kept thinking "what is the point"? It was not entertaining, just sad. The Stones shows are an absurdity some people are entertained
( stupid, but entertained).
please dont do this. thick as a brick CANNOT be separated on split into songs. it s one song! shame on you. barre is great but no please.
I was never a fan of "copycat" singing. Sing it your own way, dude.
So you playin Jethro Tull for 50 years, then go out with your own band and… play Jethro Tull songs…
What were you expecting a little Motley Crue?
@@jimmi3376 Different material. Otherwise, what’s the point? If you’re going to still play Jethro Tull songs, why not just carry on doing it with the proper band instead of a cover band? But you know that. You’re just being arsey.
@@johnbuell8035 yes I am👍
Not sure if you know this John but Martin did not leave Tull by choice. It's been about 70 per cent Tull in the last many years he has had this band going. But he has a different take on the material, tending to the more hard rock side, though I think the acoustic section of the show with the 2 women is the best part. Just not a fan of the singer, though I can see as a rock singer he's probably quite good if one likes something like,, I dunno, ACDC maybe. If one likes Tull there is likely alot of merit in Martin's show.
@@jimmi3376 ha ha, good
Ian Anderson's performances these days are an embarrassment.
