I remember watching this 4 years ago. Now I'm enjoying living a life more plant based: Fruits, Vegetables, Plant Based "meats" etc. Lost 50 lbs. Running has become more fun and kept me fit. No Diabetes, Hypertension, borderline Obesity. Nice for the Algorithm to let me know how far I've come.

No freaking way. I just looked up his age. Wow. If that's NOT inspirational to anyone...I was inspired to become plant-based after watching The Game Changers and this just made the fire under my ass a whole lot hotter.

Thanks Rich for sharing. I made the same changes 6 months ago. Exactly the same: lost all excess weight, slim and light, feeling bright and sharper, feeling more connected to the important stuff. No crazy diet required: no more junk food, no more dairies and eggs, raw food at least 50% of daily solid intake. In no time you'll love what you've in the mirror and the person you become.

It really depends on the person. Some do fine. Others crash and burn. Blood type may play a role -- investigate that angle. Type A's are supposed to do well, type B's not so much, and type O's even worse. My type O friend because disabled with inflammation on an almost vegetarian diet (he ate fish), and recovered in a week or two once he began eating meat and animal fat again. Check your ceruloplasmin status. Retinol is required to load copper into ceruloplasmin to activate it, and if your beta-carotene to retinol enzymatic pathway is clogged up, you will become deficient in ceruloplasmin-bound copper.
Why is that important? Have you heard of inflammation? Ceruloplasmin-bound copper expresses as ferro-oxidase, the enzyme that manages iron in the human body so it doesn't rust in the presence of oxygen inside your body the way it does outside your body. Without the ceruloplasmin-bound copper expressing as ferro-oxidase, the iron in your body will be more likely to induce oxidative stress (rust) and drive inflammation in you body.
Most people wouldn't want that outcome, so be aware it is a biochemical possibility.

This was great, thanks, I have been researching "conscious living wendy garrett" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Renaliyah Wordless Recognition - (search on google ) ? It is a smashing one of a kind product for discovering how to manifest the success you deserve minus the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my brother in law got great results with it.

Rich, it's New Year's Day, 2020. As I listened, I spontaneously found myself cleaning out my little pantry and wondering "where are the lentils? I know there's a bag of lentils somewhere." I settled for quinoa and made a note to get lentils.

Have been doing Hot Yoga for 3 years also. The amount of energy that I have now is incredible. I had now idea that I would meet myself for the first time when I'm 40. I wish I had watched this long before my body failed me. I used to work out at the gym every day. If I wasn’t at the gym, I would be running or hiking. Maybe if I had changed my diet then, I wouldn’t have gotten hit with RA, Hashimotos, lung problems, etc. it’s been 10 years of constant health struggles. I went on the AIP paleo diet for three years where I learned to eat clean ~ you know ~ grass fed meats, healthy fats, etc. etc. I started to feel worse. I couldn’t straighten out my elbows, hands hurt so bad I couldn’t hold a pen! My cholesterol level was going up and my CRP level was off the chart high. I went plant based vegan 16 months ago and I am feeling so much better. My bloodwork speaks for itself! Unfortunately, I do have osteoporosis now due to the many years that I had to take prednisone just to be able to function and work so I will never be able to go back to working out the way I used to. I have no doubt that if I had known about this diet back then, I would be that ultra athlete! Thank you Rich for being so inspiring!

I'm really sorry to hear about your health problems :( I'm glad your feeling better now. I wonder if you could start with light rebounding. Rebounding is what they use to help astronauts with their osteoporosis. You can just start light like just up n down not even getting your feet off the rebounder/trampoline. It might not help but maybe?

12 years ago when I was 20 years old I was exercising like a professional athlete despite I wasn't one. My physical performance was top everywhere I went. I think it was actually professional level. I felt amazing. Today 12 years after, at 32 years, I think I have the same energy levels (despite less strength because I stopped training about 10 years ago and I barely train now, one day a week average so my performance is definitely lower). I have been vegan since 4 years ago, I aim to eat as healthy as I can, mostly whole foods plant based diet and I have impressive energy levels despite how little I train and how little I sleep 6h average (I aim to improve this to 7.5-8h a day for improving my health) and since I have been eating this vegan way, a healthy vegan way (plus I am vegan thus I don't use/abuse animals at all), I have felt better than ever. I recommend everyone to adopt a whole foods plant based diet, and while you are at it, go vegan and stop using/abusing animals completely and your life will never be the same, it will be many times better.
Educate yourself about nutrition and health and do a 100% plant based diet the proper way

Funny, I've listened to Rich for several months and never did I know, or realize where he came from, literally. Now I get it; the story behind the man. This gives all of us a taste of what could be. I believe it's the same with all of us; I know it is with me. I often think, "If they only knew where I came from." All of us have a story, mine is insane, and mine is ridiculous. I love this. It clicked!!!!

I needed to watch this. Having turned to a plant based diet almost 10 years ago and struggling with the pushback from society ever since. Any social gathering involving food is always a moment when I get easily put on the spot and all usual questions come up. I just would like to be left alone with my choices and not having to justify all the time. So true that we easily accept all kind of unhealthy choices but the majority keep questioning a plant based diet. Exhausting.

I'm almost finished chemo at 48 and also bad leg and back problems. I'm thinking vegan could be the diet that would suit but I don't know why I overthink it. Hopefully on my 50 th birthday I'll be around to say I should have done this earlier. All helpful comments welcome and even the unhelpful ones as that with luck will reinforce my thoughts. All best wishes from Ireland 👍👍👍👊👊👊

You can do it. Whole food plant based all the way. You’ll actually enjoy it and not be overwhelmed by it one day. 💕 take it meal by meal!

One meal at a time. Lots of great interviews with MDs with info on vegan nutrition and others helping with motivation.

One day I'm going to be in a triathlon. I said that before when i was young and invincible. Now as a mom and turned vegan, the difference is I feel good enough to believe it. Forever Rich Roll fan. My hero.

From one perspective, the first step was your letting go of a highly inflammatory diet: high carbs, low quality protein, excito toxins, and a dirth of above-ground leafy green vegetables. The second step was choosing a healthy diet with lots of plants that works for your body. Wondering if you vary your diet after a number of months?
