DIY Version: Just buy a piece 8020 extruded aluminum, use tracksaw clamps, any featherboard with t nuts, and some scrap wood attached to the bottom with t nuts for the infeed/outfeed support. Quarter of the price of this fence, no difference in end product other than looks
I think the C-Beam is a better option is is a 8040 in a c shape. this will allowing you to make custom inserts on inside of the C to make/add mounting hardware with out having to modify the extrusion and is a more robust shape. you can find it on the OpenBuilds website.
I added BOW 48” fence to my Skill job site saw and it really improved both the performance and and safety of the saw. I was already using the Bow feather guide and the one it makes for the bandsaw on my 14” Jet metal frame. They are premium priced because they are premium products and overall an excellent value especially when able to calculate it with all ten fingers…😊
I bought the 36 inch system last year because of your video. I dont need it for my tablesaw, but for resawing on my bandsaw it has made a massive difference. I didnt need it for outfeed, as my outfeed table for my tablesaw sits at the backside of the bandsaw. I build a set of rollers that match the bandsaw table height. I just needed the infeed support.
Some nice upgrades for the Bow Xtender. I'd add a height adjuster to that fold-out leg. It's not always possible to set up a jobsite saw on flat ground.
EXACTLY what I came to post! Could be kinda like the adjustment he shows @8:22. On that same extension, it could also benefit from having a connection/brace back to the back left of the saw table: pushing a sheet across it had it wobbling a bit fore and aft. The drop leg doesn't really offer support in that direction.
Nice setup, i did a variation on my Milwaukee tablesaw, i mounted a packout base using the t slots to the top of the saw, ( it protects the table top yet allows for more cases to be stacked ) then put brackets on the back so slide it off and attach to back of saw for runout, the packout base is tapered also. and no extra pieces to have to carry around or store.
Love the Bow Fence and I was about to add some kind on in-feed support for larger stock since I already have an out-feed.This will help greatly. Thank you M&M (Mike and Matt)
I would love to see you review the ROUSSEAU table saw stand. That combined with the bow fence I think would be epic. I actually use this after market stand and it gives me near cabinet level accuracy in my driveway.
Great idea about the wider stock support. I work out of my garage and have to move everything every time I want to work on a project and have no room for extra tables for outfeed support. I just received my bow fence and accessories a few days ago and will be trying it out soon.
Make the length of the support leg on that extention adjustable so when the saw isnt sitting on a perfectly level surface the support can be set to match the height and level of the saws table. Also this will allow for difference in height of any jobsight saw base that someone is using. Just a suggestion for something added for better usability to your already great idea.
That doesn’t make any sense. It’s if the tool and accessories combined in price get you substantially more or less functionality than a more expensive tool.
@ if I have a $300-400 or even $600 table saw and the fence costs $300, that’s not cost effective. There is NO WAY that the fence costs as much to produce and sell for a profit than the table saw. That is my argument.
Using the featherboard with both tightening knobs in the mitre slot puts the feather fingers closer than 1 inch in front of the blade on a Dewalt 7485, going to have to try the single knob feather board with a single mitre slot expander/tightener.
Nothing wrong with this Bow Xtender solution. But there is another and much cheaper solution for woodworkers with garage size workshops and smaller table saws. You probably don't need big infeed/outfeed tables for 95% of your cuts. But once in a while you do need to cut a few 4x8' sheets or wider/longer boards. Just make 3-4 saw-horses matching the height of your table saw. Or what I did 3/4 inch lower and put a piece of 1/2" plywood on top. There you have your temporary outfeed table and when not in use, you simply stack the sawhorses in a corner and put that sheet of plywood against a wall. BTW, when you have those sawhorses and you make a DIY track from scrapwood, you can just use a circular saw for your long cuts.
Izzy Swan has a design for a detachable support that I use for supporting my longer boards, and my crosscut jig. For longer cuts, I use I use my Rigid out feed support and my shop chair back to support the wood in front of the blade. It's only a 1./2" taller than my table saw. l
Hey just an idea... some of us diy carpenters are out in the yard or uneven ground. Maybe some kind of adjustable height tripod or something on a locking adjustable height rail of some sort as the support leg. Just a thought. Great video sir!
I use two 6x3 caterpillar tables matching the height of the saw table for infeed and outfeed control. The catepillar tables are on wheels and can be locked in position. Solves all these problems. Catepillar tables can be collapsed and stored when workshop reverts to a garage
That's what I have. Got a pair from my father-in-law. That way you can use for infeed/outfeed. Could be used for mitre saw too if you don't have a mitre saw stand, and it was just on a table/cart.

I apologize if this has been asked/answered already, but…for the DeWalt DWE7491 10” Jobsite Table Saw… QUESTION: Has anyone used the TSO fence upgrade WITH the Bow XT Xtender Fence, together? (Maybe specifically the 46”?) I have the 7491 & liking what I’ve been seeing with the TSO fence upgrade and the Bow XT. I have a ryobi 10" job site tablesaw and went in a little bit of a different direction to accommodate large pieces. I built a cabinet with independent drop leaves for it. I'd like to attach a picture, not sure if i can.
Super useful add-ons would be interested in side by side with Jessem version. Also you didn't mention but assuming this makes your saw measure no longer accurate. How thick is it?
@@FredD63Yes sir. Works so well that some of us have been using them for close to 40 years. How does it go, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Sometimes a gimmick is just a gimmick.
Is there a package that we can order that would have all the hardware for Taylor’s plans? If so would you please post or make available somehow a link to order that parts. This would just save time plus I would be willing to buy the hardware for all 3 of Taylor’s jigs that were on this video. It would just save a lot of time and be much worth the time saved.
Nice but expensive. The wife already treated me to a Jet 52" contractor saw for the garage shop. Most of my kill and maim tools came from garage sales. I have a 3x8 outfeed/assembly table in front of the saw and 2 roller stands I got from garage sales. I made a 4' and 8' straight edge for my circular but I usually cut plywood on the Jet using the roller stands.
The 36 inch fence is too short to allow the in and out feed supports to work with my Ridgid contractor saw. Also the feather board won’t clamp far enough out to prevent the feathers from pinching the stock against the blade. I had to cut off one of the feathers closest to the blade for clearance. A shorter feather board is needed.
Pretty sure that won't be legal here in Kalifornicate - new restrictions every other day! Kinda like the nice AR15s I see out in the real world - can only wonder how nice it must be....
Track saws will not get band. It will be table saws without the anti brake technology. Rest assured now that some of Sawstops patents expired. Look it up.
This is heavy duty and for stock going mainly on the saw table it can’t be beat. Mine is not useable for making tenons or holding stock more vertical on the fence (or re-sawing on the band saw). The face is not flat and is bowed in the middle going up the height of the fence the entire way. Applying any pressure on the fence rocks the piece you’re trying to cut. I sent one back because of it and was sent another with the same problem. I tried contacting Bow Products but haven’t received a response. Curious if anyone else had this problem?

This video is more geared towards the more advanced Woodworker with time and Money to spend. Just buy a few rollers and you're good to go. 😊😊😊
Why? I mean it’s cool, great idea for sure,.. but, for the cost of it and the jobsite saw you could just buy a better/larger saw! If it were 50 or 100 bucks I can see it.. but 300 dollars for an aluminum extrusion with some plastic bits? Again, it’s a wicked cool design,.. but tooooo much $
@@davidcorliss you can make one for pennies on the dollar.. again, I think it's a wicked idea, but the cost for what it is is extreme .. just buy a 20/60 or 20/80 alum extrusion and mount it on the saw.. not hard. there is an Elgish guy on here that is doing just that for less than $100.. I'll try and find it and link..
lol... that thing costs more than my job site saw (Skill). Sorry, I will make it work by being careful and using homemade jigs. Thanks for the thorough review, though.
@@williamsmith9026 No but a table built to the same height as your table saw that you can slide directly behind the saw provides better outfieed support than the fence extender, however the longer fence with this product is an advantage as well as the possibility of adding infeed support which is difficult to accomplish with a table.
I built 2 tables on casters. One for the saw and one that I can move to any side of my Dewalt table saw. It comes in handy for other things, too. Made from mostly scrap wood.

These influencers took the onlyfans formula to target individuals who want feel like they’re part of an exclusive group but fail to realize that somewhere else on the internet you can get it free.
Whats so wrong about cutting large boards with a track saw on the floor with some scrapwood underneath? Far easier and way more safe then your solution, I guess.
Don’t mean to be negative, but couldn’t a piece of 3/4” laminate melamine with a groove cut out for t-track accomplish the same thing and for much cheaper?
Yes it would work, that is what I am building. I like the Bow products, but not enough to spend $300. I made a clamp on infeed table for the cost of the clamp. Now I am working on a fence so I can add the downward pressure featherboards. This is a good product, but as a wood worker I try to make all my own jigs. Just as the video shows some great ideas for add ons, the entire thing could be made from MDF and work the exact same way.
Looks great; but, when the fence “attachment” is virtually the same price as the entire saw, it’s hugely over priced. 🫤 That’s the 46” sweet spot by the way. 😉

Why? I mean it’s cool, great idea for sure,.. but, for the cost of it and the jobsite saw you could just buy a better/larger saw! If it were 50 or 100 bucks I can see it.. but 300 dollars for an aluminum extrusion with some plastic bits? Again, it’s a wicked cool design,.. but tooooo much $
I don't have room for a larger table in my garage
and at my camp I have an 12x8 shed putting a larger table saw in it would be impossible
Looks great but price wise out of my reach.
lol... that thing costs more than my job site saw (Skill). Sorry, I will make it work by being careful and using homemade jigs. Thanks for the thorough review, though.
I know what will get them to click. Make the board blue. 😂👌🏻
@@BenM81 Or lime green😂
Very nice accessory but $250 for one accessory. That’s what it cost for the darn tablesaw. 🤔
guess the support leg is a little to tall for your saw ;)
4:50. Outfeed is not even alligned
Just get a pedistool roller
Nearly $300 for a fence lol, a small table works the same and cost about 10x less.
Not the same
@@williamsmith9026 No but a table built to the same height as your table saw that you can slide directly behind the saw provides better outfieed support than the fence extender, however the longer fence with this product is an advantage as well as the possibility of adding infeed support which is difficult to accomplish with a table.
I built 2 tables on casters. One for the saw and one that I can move to any side of my Dewalt table saw. It comes in handy for other things, too. Made from mostly scrap wood.
Free plan link not working at all, tried three time nothing🤨
You probably have to become a member and pay a monthly fee just to get “free plans and exclusive content”. These influencers took the onlyfans formula to target individuals who want feel like they’re part of an exclusive group but fail to realize that somewhere else on the internet you can get it free.
But wait, there's more......
Whats so wrong about cutting large boards with a track saw on the floor with some scrapwood underneath? Far easier and way more safe then your solution, I guess.
Are you going high tech? Looks like you're using a green screen.
Don't buy it's garbage you can make one for a tenth of the price
A bit like putting lipstick on a pig. Table saws are just not very good toys.
That’s the 46” sweet spot by the way. 😉
