As long as the engine is running and the car is in gear the headlights are automatically turned on, there is no turning them off like in the old days. So unless the vehicle had 2 blown head lights, the Plaintiff should have seen it coming and gave the right of way since they were the one with the stop sign not the Defendant.

I sold a truck, and cancelled my insurance as soon as the buyer drove off with it. A couple of weeks later, the buyer was involved in a hit and run. I only found out because my insurance company contacted me to find out what happened. The police pulled up the most recent information available. DMV records and insurance info had not yet been updated in the system, even though the buyer had proof he had registered and insured in his name at the time of the accident. These things happen. Not saying that was the case with these folks, but it does happen. JJ seems to think if she doesn’t know about it, it must not be true often times.
