I installed this amp to compliment my 75w Kenwood 6x9s on my front stage. It's a little bit larger than my hand. It thumps really hard! Getting the gains and filters set up were straight forward. I have a spare tire sub I'm installing over the holidays. Wondering if I even need it! Cause this thing is crushing it right now! The best $89 bucks I ever spent. Plus I already had a credit from Amazon!!!
@@Ninoo187 yessir. Nice and early. Along with the entire new RD65 Recoil mids and tweeters set, and my replacement Unity 8.0s in the A pillars. Aaand the new Expert 8Air DSP goes in to replace the crossovers for a fully-active system.
The button for hi/low input on this amp is for if you have a head unit that puts out higher volts from the RCA’s. For example if your head unit does 5 volts or more from the preamps use the high input, otherwise wise the low level input.
Incorrect. You use a connector that have speakers leads on one end and male rca on the other. You then change the setting to “hi level” or on this amp “SPK IN” for speaker level input. Lots of companies use this in some of their amps, like Alpine and Kicker for example. As far as if your head unit puts out 2 or even 5 volts on the rca output’s, this is what the gain adjustment on the amp is for. Gain adjustment has always been for matching the output voltage of the head unit to the input voltage of the amp. The gain adjustment is not a “volume” knob.
Cant help but notice that the inputs and outputs on that look EXACTLY the same as the sound magus CS800.4 that i brought this week. Just looks like they put a different case on it aye.
Great video... I been awaiting for the 1200.4 version on this amp to be back in stock but i found this Autotek Street Machine SM-2400.4D 2400. Im curious about this amp since i found no videos have you seen it or heard of it since the price is 98$
How do you think it would do at 2ohms bridged? I’m looking for an amor that can handle that so I can run my mids on 2 channels and tweeters on the other 2 channels. I want to do a 4 channel cuz I like that I can adjust the EQs for both channels
No one has tested the true sound of these. It’s hard to believe that they are that good for the price. The DSP has been tested with equipment and they found poor SQ quality which is not good for a DSP. Which really sucks because for $199 for a full out DSP is incredible.
