You bought the right one. I have a friend that has one on 3 15s and its very uncomfortable to sit in lol! There is a rumor going around that JP's amps only sound good on Sundown subs. What's your opion?

I will take the Recoil 2500.1 for $179 over the JP23v1.5 for $299. I like the plexiglass bottom and voltmeter remote but i don't need for $120 extra. Strapping the amp is a nice feature but i see multiple amp builds where the amps are not strapped. 2 none strapped Red 2500.1 for $380 👍
100%! Only reason to choose the JP23 (or equivalent) is if more power is needed, you're more concerned with image than performance, or you're building a show vehicle
I have a 4 channel and a monoblock from Recoil and a cap too. They do fantastic, although I should have gotten a bigger monoblock... I've been beating on mine for about 6 months and they still are mint. I do plan to buy this amp to redo my wife's system.
Damn man, why weren't these cheap amps available back in the day when I was a teenager and had a system in every one of my cars? I remember paying like $600 for a new 600 watt Kenwood amp back in the day. I dont remember the model name, but I remember it was chrome with two output meters on the top. I ran two JL Audio 15s with it and it slammed.
🤣, I say the same thing all the time, my Memphis Bell was $1200, 1200 watts. Dollar a watt 🤦♂️ kids don't understand how good they got it. Just one of my Crossfire 16k's would be up to $22,000, clamped 22,000 watts out of one at 16v wired to .5ohm rising to 1ohm. Point is it's affordable to put a lil bump in the trunk these days 🤙
It's a good thing they weren't. Our hearing would be even worse now than it is! If only I knew as a kid that ringing ears when you get out of the car would lead to more difficult hearing at old age.

@@8180634 Yeah I'm 57 years old those ringing ears came from distortion they didn't have clip indicators back in the late 90s so we maxed everything out I had a 150 punch the one with the wires coming out of it on two jl audio 12s and I had the gains maxed out it would get so hot it would blow the little bitty fuses in the inside of it 😂😂😂

ive been running the red1200.1's for a year now they have perfomed very well , with my new 5x 12 wall build im currently running 5 of those red1200.1's and the upgrade is going to theese 2500.1's
I’m now running one of these and a DI1200.4 in my Navigator on a pair of Pro Echo 10s and CDT wideband 2way combo. Holy. Shit. This combo is a winner. Blurred vision and you can literally hear it from a mile away. Total spent -$980 for a sick ass system.
Another great informative video. I would change how people use the words cheap and affordable. They mean two different things to me. BOSS is cheap as Skar, Recoil seem to be affordable. The difference is affordable makes it ratings and can keep up with the more expensive brands while saving you money, not the same for cheap. With this said, once again you did an amazing job my friend.
soooo accurate. It took me too many years to figure out the difference between cheap and affordable. I think the moment I figured it out was when my skar 4 channel amp failed and not only died itself but also killed my headunit and sub amp. The 4 channel skar did not feel cheap or affordable after that.
Its great that these amps are priced where they should be. Super old tried and true off patent Korean designed class D circuits that are made in china is what is pretty much in all of these big mono amps. The only differentiator is the case/branding. Great review, looks like a great value.

Another great video from the one & only Big D. Thanks Big D, this definitely looks like a decent option for anyone on a budget. Sure I'm sure some may say but it didn't make its rated power, it didn't do this, or that. BUT as you stated it is a Korean half bridge copy and on top of that it held up going below 1 ohm on the the dyno... Props for any budget amp that can handle .67 ohms on dyno without going into protect! If Recoil stays in business they just may end up being a very competitive car audio brand. What they should focus on next is designing a better layout for their website... Just my .02.
They’re here to stay. I bought 3 recoil amps. 2 1200.4’ and just recently ordered this one. Tight budget so it took me almost 3 months to get them. But i always melts a close watch on stock and they went out of stock a few times before I could get all mine. Thanks to big D and hifi vector these amps are flying off the shelf.

I bought the Recoil 0 gauge big 3 OFC wiring kit and it's high quality. But I was debating between this one and the Stinger MT2000.1. I was going to go with the recoil because it had a clip light. But I went with the Stinger and I couldn't be happier. That Amp is a beast!! Bar none! Still waiting for someone to throw it on a dyno. My birth sheet says 2057 watts @1ohm.
The internals look very similar to the Wolfram audio C2400.1 - I think the biggest difference is the Wolfram had 6 of the large black caps in the middle, and only 4 here. But other than that, its very similar!
So, really, the main knock on this amp is its kind of low budget circuitry. OK, you should not be using budget amps for anything but a budget build anyway. So for someone like me, who just wants a really loud bass system in my old beater commuter car (a 2002 Subaru Outback), this amp looks like a winner. I screw it into the rear deck where the spare tire used to be, plop in a pre-made 10 inch subwoofer (like the Skar SK10TBV for less than 200 bucks), wire it up, and I'm ready to rock the house! Well, kind of ready...
With modern signal processing, strapping isn't an issue, unless you're converting an old sub setup to new amps and attempting to maintain your old sub wiring configuration.

Robot Underground has been pushing the recoil brand hard on his channel.. I finally pulled the trigger on this exact amplifier a few weeks ago.. So far I can't complain at all.. I haven't had any problems.. My bass knob box was also smashed, but it worked fine though.. Back in the day it would have cost 3 times as much for a comparable amplifier..

I have a couple of buddies who are exactly like him.. If you don't know them well enough to understand their personalities.. Some of the things they say sound terrible.. They don't mean it in that way though.. They have dramatic personalities, and when they speak they put a lot of their emotional state at that time into what they are saying.. I think they are probably a little bit autistic.. They don't necessarily understand that what they are saying could be taken the wrong way by people who don't know them personally.. I'm not in any way making excuses or defending anything that Patrick has said about anyone.. I just don't think he understands what he's saying sometimes.. He doesn't pick up on social cues like you or I would.. If you can learn to filter that stuff out.. He knows his stuff when it comes to car audio.. He has a wealth of knowledge and wisdom, and he shares it openly and freely with anyone who wants to learn.. He usually has some pretty good deals on gear also, but he doesn't have a website you have to text message him..

In the works for a new amp my crossfire 1k class d the old old school one silver with blue and red on the strip is nice but a 20 year old amp can’t do what these new ones do but 2 of those would be nice on each of my audio pipe 4 stacks
Not sure if i asked about this one but if you could dyno the XAD12 1500W RMS X-Series Full-Bridge Class D 1-Ohm Stable Monoblock Amplifier that would be great i have seen a dyno on it and it performs great but no ones gonna do the low ohms tests and tell it how it is what you think on the amp, oh and yeah the efficiency. Sure NVX will send you one they want the PR
Nice amplifier for the price. Looks like one of the most affordable half bridged amplifiers out there. I got the Soundqubed S1-2250.1 amplifiers and there similar to the 2500rms watt Recoil amp.
The D4S amp removed the speaker protection relays. It’s a trade off. Less series resistance and possible reliability issues traded for zero protection if the output transistors go short circuit to rail voltage.
Honestly, for the price and build, I give this a passing grade. This amp could get you beating down the block for a decent price.

Recoil is doing a great job at budget car audio. I always recommend the red1200 for a newbie. Good power and a clip light.

They don't mean it in that way though.. They have dramatic personalities, and when they speak they put a lot of their emotional state at that time into what they are saying.. I think they are probably a little bit autistic.. They don't necessarily understand that what they are saying could be taken the wrong way by people who don't know them personally.. I'm not in any way making excuses or defending anything that Patrick has said about anyone.. I just don't think he understands what he's saying sometimes.. He doesn't pick up on social cues like you or I would.. If you can learn to filter that stuff out.. He knows his stuff when it comes to car audio.. He has a wealth of knowledge and wisdom, and he shares it openly and freely with anyone who wants to learn.. He usually has some pretty good deals on gear also, but he doesn't have a website you have to text message him..

Not sure if i asked about this one but if you could dyno the XAD12 1500W RMS X-Series Full-Bridge Class D 1-Ohm Stable Monoblock Amplifier that would be great i have seen a dyno on it and it performs great but no ones gonna do the low ohms tests and tell it how it is what you think on the amp, oh and yeah the efficiency. Sure NVX will send you one they want the PR

Nice amplifier for the price. Looks like one of the most affordable half bridged amplifiers out there. I got the Soundqubed S1-2250.1 amplifiers and there similar to the 2500rms watt Recoil amp.
there are awesome ryan , even the cheaper speakers are better than any 99$ pair of speakers you can get from best buy.

The D4S amp removed the speaker protection relays. It’s a trade off. Less series resistance and possible reliability issues traded for zero protection if the output transistors go short circuit to rail voltage.
Hopefully it at least has DC monitoring to shut off the power during a fault.
The heatsink doesn't appear to have enough surface area for a 2500w amp. Not sure it will be in it for the long haul....

What would you suggest between the recoil 2500.1 vs the stinger 2000.1. Which is the overall better amp?
Get the stinger, I got the 2000.1 it's a beast and barely gets warm.
