That collection reminds me of a lot of the friends I grew up with, sad that so many of them are not longer here but his music will last forever. The second carton of the flip video had Joe Farrell - Moon Germs, classic CTI Jazz with Stanley Clarke on bass, a must have.
OOW, that last box had a copy of the self-titled 1972 release by Malo. Carlos Santana's brother. Check out the cut, "Sauvacito." Terrific. If you are not familiar with it, you will be very happy you gave it a listen.
For most Doobie Brothers fans, the Brotherhood lp is a grail. What great finds, you can tell this man loved good music. took care if his vinyl.
I got it from the UK about 10 years ago, when it was still $5 and shipping was reasonable $20. I found a sealed Cycles and Farewell Tour at a thrift store a buck apiece. Now I just need 2014s Southbound on vinyl, which came out more recently. They need to release the double live 96 CD on vinyl. Nothing makes me happier than throwing a CD in the garbage and replacing it with the real thing
Loved it! Thanks for sharing your experience!
Nice haul & great to see you out with your buddy!
Great video! Thanks for sharing this and your expertise on collecting. Recently got back into vinyl and loving it. New Fluance Rt85 turntable has really enhanced my desire for more pristine vinyl records. I wish I were local to you would love to check out your store!
Some lovely stuff there, so many great ones. I saw a Malo there at the end, really love that record!
I can’t help but think the guy who died and I would have gotten along, based solely on his taste in music. (I’m adding the Love album to my want list. Thank you Dillon! Remember to be nice to us CD collectors who watch you videos. 😀)
💿💌 there's a CD emoji but not a record one.. I call that a win.
NO!
Hey, nice of you to show a photo taken near my home town. (The Division Bell)
Thanks for sharing Brother. A great buy!!😀👍❤🇺🇸🇨🇦🇬🇧🌎🎉🎉🎉🎉🔊🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶💯💯
Some great stuff there matey. I must look out for more 90's records then. All the best from the UK.
I truly enjoy your UA-cam channel and have recently started following you on instagram. Dillon, you seem like a down-to-earth guy and part of me wishes I lived near your store as I would be there several times a week, and then part of me is glad I don't live nearby as I would be there several times a weeks, LOL! Anyway thanks for your posts. I look forward to your videos and especially when you make these great finds and purchases. Keep it going and keep it vinyl!
Nice score, some nice albums from my era, cheers. 👍
As you flipped, I saw more post vinyl era - Stormfront, Armchair Theater, Rickie lee Jones from 89, end of innocence, Cowboy Junkies, Eric Johnson, Sting (super rare), even those Anita Baker Compositions and Basia are super rare. I usually use 1988 as the dividing line. Anything after that, super rare
Great collection....wish I was near your shop. Love to get the Pink Floyd "Division Bell". Please ship!
So funny. Just had a guy come into the shop this past Saturday and ask for that Fagen lol. Congrats on some more good pick ups. Awesome Zep RL! Keeping the shop strong!! \m/
And of course I miss this right after I leave 😆 🤣 😂
Great stuff!
Love "Out Here" is a killer underrated LP. I got mine at a lil shop in Matthews, NC.
What a great haul Dillion, some great records there.
Thanks Gary!
What a great/interesting video..and slick drum skills🔥he started playing and my head started immediately banging..
He’s the best
Damn it Man! Love the videos...hopefully will be up your way soon...will bring cash!
Thanks, Looking at this man’s really cool 60’s and 70’s albums was fun and like a snapshot of those days. Back then I would have called him brother. Peace. Pray for peace.
Thanks for watching! 🙏
The dynamic duo, love seeing Dominic back.
He’s so fun
So wish I lived close by and bring my own U-Haul with me….
Although the misses would not appreciate it…. 😂
I'm half tempted to take a trip up to North Carolina for some of these... might start looking for flights lol. damn this itch
You are way not local to me but I love watching your videos.
We have a great used store, Requests, but they have not caught the video bug yet.
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 🌴 📸

That guy was living!

Electric mudd!
When I see your videos I often think about getting an airplane ticket. I would be there in 12 hours:-)
Do most of these end up in your store or do you put some on eBay? Would love to get my hands on some of that stuff!
Sweet finds I found that Donald fagen in a mint 90s collection.i wish I kept them all they were all nr mint first presses
Target just got in that 91 Natalie Cole Unforgettable exclusive. I got that Doobie Bros Brotherhood from Europe before shipping went nuts. Now it's $30 just for shipping. I need that Kymiriad
Need that Clapton 24 Nights, played it to death when I had on CD
Hey Dillon. Greetings from Minnesota! I'm a 50 year music junkie. Love the videos. That is a GREAT find. Were there any TOMMY BOLIN records in that collection? Or Billy Cobham "Spectrum"? Thanks man! RnR Farmer
Hi from Canada, love all your videos. I am new to collecting records. I have a few sealed ones but they are not super valuable. Do you recommend keeping them sealed?
That all depends, in 10 to 20 years they could be worth something. All depends on Artist, album, and pressing. I bought 5 copies of Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon, 30th Anniversary release back in the 2000's from a record store going out of business at $9 per copy. I have been offered $250 US to sell one, and yes, they are sealed. Will I sell, not right now, maybe in 10 years or so....
I figured out pretty quickly that it must be an estate - that's how the big collections come on the market. You are very nice to pay up, but I'm sure this will quite profitable anyway.
I have a bunch of 1990s and 2000s originals of the artists I collect - Neil Young, Richard Thompson, Graham Parker - I bought them when they came out.
I need that Texas Flood!
I stresses me out thinking about selling all my records(CDs, cassettes too) and stereo gear.
I just value music and art more then money.
Food shelter and a car is more important to live but if I didn't have physical media, living would not be as fun. Sure I could probably stream everything on a smart phone, computer, tv but it gets tiring to stare at a screen all the time.
Going to an auction on Saturday with a stack of albums has I'm guessing Roger Daultry on an all black cover wearing shades
with the word " TOMMY " & wondering if it's worth picking up the stack. Probably get the stack for under 20 bucks.
Love's 'Out Here' used to be in my collection. I have no idea where it went. That could be mine.
Dom was layin' down a phat beat. 🔥
hey mate... excellent vid...do you still have that Dire Straits Album... would love to purchase it.
Sorry, it sold immediately
I have a Dio record made on heavy white vinyl with three songs - one on side A, And two on side B, in mint condition. Do you think it's worth something? It's a first pressing.
Try looking it up on discogs
If it's Rock 'N' Roll Children it's worth about ten bucks
just curious... have you ever seen Duran Duran's Wedding Album? speaking of 90's records.
Buzzard Feathers on the Compost lp, lufferly bit of kit
What's the record at 12:15? You didn't tell us.
Out Here by the psych band LOVE
hmm were those drum licks by Dom part of Jeff Beck’s Blow? 🧐
Don’t think so, that’s just Dom 🤣
yay!
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Amazing collection!!!!! Armchair Theater. Spin it now.
You didn’t buy my collection did you? Lot good records there
Looks like you were thumbing though my collection. Kinda spooky if ya know what
i mean. I'm not dead yet, i think.
Guess we’ll never know what condition the RL LZ II was in 😒😀
🤣 I accidentally cut it. It’s a VG copy
Well and good, I just wish you would post videos that the vast, vast majority of us vinyl collectors can relate to. I've never run across a guy with a billion records that are always in pristine condition, filled with nothing but grails along with throwing in a bunch of high end equipment. But hey, 10 a.m. those go in your shop! Glad for the info so I can buy a plane ticket from California to your store. Useless. A little interesting because I like the records themselves.
And to his bfs
Hmmmm….Roy Ayers Ubiquity 🔥🔥
Dil: I got Electric Mud for free from a record store that sat free records on the sidewalk outside their store until somebody reported them to the police and the store got cited for littering.
I saw LOVE on the Tour for 'Love Out There' with Frank Zappa and the Mothers..., 1970.
.... a friend found a copy of the concert (pretty bad shape) &
...... it was the 1st first concert I ever attended and it was a 700 mile trip to see it!
Saw a Teac Reel to Reel in there...if it needs restoring or work....call me... can take pay in records
Ouch!!...seeing thoughs hurt
Stevie Ray " Sky is Crying"
Clapton " 24 Nights " , not to mention the other unmentionables
You big meanie
You’re a good egg- Geoff in NYC
When I see this, this is what I see:
A middle aged music geek died suddenly without a will. His landlord sold his life time collection and made bank.
Don't be that collector who dies suddenly, sell your collection and make the money your self.
Not his landlord, his wife.
Anyone who pays up for sealed records is over paying .
I can and have re-sealed records so good that it has fooled some very savoy online sellers who bought them .
I can transfer the hype sticker with zero glue residue that a black light will see.
The breather holes I make identical to the original shrink. ( I always buy records in shrink and copy the breather hole placement and diameter ). And I always seal mint looking records just in case they open it. But most of the time they don’t .
The seams I create look original . They are very clean.
The newer the record is the easier it is to make the sealed record appear original. I won’t seal very old records for that reason
nothing rare about any of these records
So you see Sealed Division Bells just every day.
