I would say don't overthink the videos and it's fine if you're planting up pots you did last year and the year before. I appreciate learning about the plants you choose, what their needs are, etc and believe me, I need to hear things multiple times for it to found a home in my brain. Sometimes I take notes. Don't under estimate one of the main reasons we watch your videos - you're a natural, personable, enjoyable to connect with. Long, short, simple or complicated project, we enjoy watching!

I can see how it may seem redundant but with each year you are doing something different and have learned from the years before and have more knowledge to give. So it's beneficial for us. Also, I don't know about everybody else but I find myself following you with the things I need to do in my garden. I watch a video and be like OK Laura is planting up her containers and I watch and get inspired and know I have to start getting my containers together. You know your doing good when your mom says, Laura would be so proud! :)

I loved the short multiple video format. Here's why: I start your videos each morning with my coffee, and I get so motivated, I chug my coffee, pause the video, and go outside and do some jobs in the garden. Then I take a break, and watch some more video.. and then BAM more motivation strikes and I pause again... it takes me all day 🤣 so the short videos were natural places to go get some stuff done outside! I love all videos, all formats, but it worked with how your motivation strikes me very well! Thanks for all you do for us!!

I think with pruning any topiary, start with a photograph of it in its original state, as a reference. Then as it grows, you should stay on top of it...don't let it get too far away from those original shapes, and use smaller tools to work on it so you don't take too much off, as was mentioned. That way, you are familiar with the curves, indentations, etc, and know where to work. Once you've done it for a season or two, you know what you're doing even if it gets 'mangy', as Laura says. :-) I get the feeling that Laura doesn't think about it because she worked at the garden center for all those years doing this job (among many others) and knows the standard shapes really well.

How do you keep the pump from getting clogged, and how do you clean your fountains, once the birds find it, and use the bird bath - my birdbath gets so grungy - but can you help with that......... what do you do to clean yours and how do you keep them from going grungy???
