Brilliant , we have a 1959 dexta, still going strong , a real flyer but prone to sticking in gear , father said two acres of potatoes bought it brand new. How times have changed. Cant wait to to see that block you have cleared , sheared and mulched cultivated.
@emmett1739 I think this one was brand new to my great grandfather from what I’ve been told! Once we’re working that ground I’ll do an update and video from start to finish
@@roberts4208 we’ve had a demo of a Fendt tractor and claas forager in the last year, They’re good machines and along with John Deere’s are market leaders but we bleed green!
Fabulous tour of your machinery JD 🎉 are you thinking of trying some automation kit for more simple repetitive time consuming work? I’ve seen laser weeding robots that would be fun to watch 😝
I think for farms who have massive fields and are ring fenced with no travel between fields it would be something to explore but down in Devon with land blocks spread out, loads of boundaries and average field sizes of 8-10 acres there isn’t much work that is crazy time consuming before you then have to move again anyway!
Is Will your brother? What does he drive? You need a big machinery shed lol How come after 25 yrs you went away from Rolland? Really interesting video.
@@farmernige yes Will is my younger brother, he drives the forager and beet harvester mainly, he’ll drive a 6R250 during maize drilling I don’t think we’ll move away from them completely, we thought that we would try other another brand and compare but Rolland have come to us with similar specs to the Bunning in the yard so it’s always a long thought out decision when a change is made
Great tour of the kit

These longer videos are a lot more enjoyable!
Nice walk round👍 definitely have some big kit😳. I’d have gone for a unimog over a fazzy but then again I am slightly bias towards them🤪😆

Really nice video, and by the way what do you think of other brands like fendt and claas?

I was told that a massey 8s pulled a drill at twice the forward speed of a 370r do you believe that would be possible

@@ToastieW yeah, it’s not something we’ve ever done, just purely agricultural contracting and arable farming
Any jobs going??
