You're an excellent presenter. Extremely efficient and articulate. Good content too, lots of bonus info and tips thrown in without disrupting the flow. Seriously, you could bring this approach to any educational content you choose and you'd be adding value and helping people.
Your comment brought light to my day. I really appreciate you for saying this. I will continue to do my best to push out good content for you guys! 🙏🏾
I know this video is a year old but I just got a Magnum today and have searched high and low for understanding how to set it up.
I finally found it and appreciate all of your helpful tips! Thank you for the great content 🎉
No problem! This video will probably be helpful for the next 5 years as long as Graco doesn't change the way they do things
There are some really good tips in this video. My wife and I started a whole house remodel this week (that's how I find your channel) and a sprayer like that would definitely save my arthritic shoulders. Definitely something I need to look into getting.
Thank you for stopping by! Good luck on your home renovation! I hope you win this would definitely help you out big time!
Great video. Thank you for taking the time to make it. Much appreciated.
Love your guys YT and Instagram! Would be great to see more content about the business side. I quit my9-5 office job a month ago and started a handyman business. Never been happier to make the leap. I would use a grayco for the various projects for client like staining, shed painting. It would definitely save me time at my jobs. I’ve been slowly saving up for the x5 or 7. Keep up the good work! Thanks for being positive people.
Thank you for following us on this journey Tim! That's a great idea I'll start incorporating business related vlogs as well. I know exactly how you feel brother, there's no better feeling waking up to something you created and building. Good luck to you and your family on this journey!
Bro, I love your instructional videos. Clear, concise, and articulate. Keep it up!
Thank you bro!
Thank you for this excellent demonstration. I am just learning to use the X5. Blessing to You!
Very good tutorial! I’m an old cabinet man / trim carpenter. I don’t like painting or finishing but recently purchased the graco magnum x5. I have got to get finishing down for myself. Instead of taking my work to someone else to finish I want to do it myself. Thanks for sharing your technique 👍🏻
No problem man! I'm sure there's a lot I could learn from you on the cabinet side! If you have any questions feel free to dm me on Instagram or here
Found you on TikTok awhile back and love your videos! I’d use it for all my projects I have left on my fixer upper I bought a year ago including painting the exterior of it!! After buying my house I had a real small budget to real tools so I bought a cheap sprayer and well… got what I paid for. Been painting everything by hand 😢
welcome Jennifer! Thank you for being a supporter of our business, we really appreciate you! one of our client gave us a piece of advice regarding life and tools "Cheap ALWAYS turns out expensive" if you win youll love this sprayer! good luck
Truly appreciate your walk through and explanation. I feel so much more comfortable after watching. Keep up the good work! I appreciate what you do and it will definitely help us on our project.
No problem Thomas! I'm glad this was helpful. I'm going to put out two more paint sprayer videos this year on two products I just picked up. You guys will love them!
Came here to make the exact same statement as several others. Very articulated and simple to follow. Thank you for this!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I got this sprayer used off a friend, and this video is just what i needed... thanks..
And i learned how to slip the tip in awhile ago... i appreciate the tip 😂
Easy to understand. Thank you.
Thanks so much for this video!! That looks great! I just bought this same paint sprayer.
Thank you for your comment! Good luck using your sprayer, if you have questions feel free to reach out!
Most appreciated - especially for a new user of the spray option.
Great video! Been looking at buying an X5 to repaint my 8year old house and my younger kids' rooms since big brother and big sister are off at college. The X5 would help the littles feel like their rooms are their own space. 👍
This is a perfect one man tool! you could complete the job quickly!
Great video and pointers!
This was exactly the video I needed. I’m in a pro cabinet painting group and those guys know their stuff but I’ve been so overwhelmed trying to research all the different components separately. Thank you for laying it all out so clearly! I’m excited to tackle my next projects 😊
I'm glad you found my video Juliet! Once you get going with your Graco you'll find it to be easy to use. Overtime you'll find what works best for your application and style of spraying too
@@Wouldwoodwork Thanks for your video but is it me are doesn't the graco seem to go through gallon cans quickly when doing small jobs
@@clevewilks4312 you are absolutely right! This magnum drinks paint like it's thirsty!! Lol we have an hvlp that we use for big jobs. That's more of a fine finish sprayer. They also have done finish tips for the magnum that uses way less paint. I haven't tired them yet but I'm going to get those tips and give it a shot
@@Wouldwoodwork Thanks for responding so quickly. I also use hvlp with a air compressor when I do small jobs. Once again thanks and keep the videos coming!!
@@clevewilks4312 do you mix your paint with thinner? I find that is sprayers better in the hvlp
Right now i am rolling all my trim job i am 24 just started out and i love this industry everyone is so helpful on youtube i have reached out to you many times on instagram and you are always their thank you for being someone to look up to and to look forward to meeting one day !🤟
Thank you for your AMAZING comment! I'm glad we can help you grow and I hope you see all the success you wish for on your journey. I plan to put out more content on the business side of things so it may be helpful to you. good luck on the giveaway too!
Just got a Graco! So excited to give it a try! Thanks for this helpful content.
Great work! First video I've watched out of many that actually shows very good sprayer control. The best tip IMO was the "plan ahead" ty for that! Overall amazing video! Subscribed!
Great video!!👍👍
New to spraying, I appreciate your experience and sharing it with us. Your presentation is clear and detailed and has helped me a lot. Thanks
Helpful!
What a great video. Short and to the point. Some great tips here.
Thanks! I'm glad you found it useful
Great video bro! Very informational. Im a painter myself and love watching other painters giving tips an info. Glad i found you channel man! Been thinking of getting me a lil graco x5 sprayer for smaller projects looks nice. Good work!👍🤙
Thank you for watching bro! Definitely get yourself one! I would recommend these to anyone looking for a nice airless sprayer that isn't crazy expensive!
Thanks for the response an feedback. Much appreciated! Just out of curiosity thoe. Have you ever used the Graco x17??
Def would use x5 on all my doors in our home! Great channel! Love everything you guys do
this would be perfect for that! Thank you!

Great Job bradda! Thanks for the video, handy man here trying to offer paint work for the customers! Never used a spray gun! So moving forward getting the X5! Blessings !
No problem man! I’m glad you found this one useful! Let me know if you have any questions when you get yours

An excellent presentation, clear and concise. 10/10
Thank you James
I’ve been following you and your wife’s work on here and instagram. You guys do amazing work!!! I’m a hobbyist but definitely strive to produce your level of quality. The videos are great too. I like how you don’t overly edit your videos. Take care. Keep the content coming!!!!
“Just put the tip in” I see what you did there!!! 😂😂😂
Thank you man I'm glad you are here supporting the channel. Really means spot to us!
😂😂😂
We're redoing the entry to our new house and wanting to repaint our shed. A graco airless paint sprayer would be great for our projects. I greatly appreciate your work and your youtube channel.
that is so true! Thank you for being a subscribe to our channel!
Dude, you are seriously good at this! I'm a total beginner, and learned a ton from your video! Thank you!
Hey thank you for the amazing video I found it very informative. I wanted to ask if you would recommend this for someone looking to expand his work and get into painting and decorating. It would be heavily used and I would use it for literally everything e.g interior, exterior, furniture, fences etc. This would be on the top end of my budget. Would you recommend this or something else ?
This is a great tutorial, clear, concise, no bullshit.
Yessir! That was the plan when making it. Thank you for the comment bro
Great job!
Thank you boss!
Thank you!👏🏼👏🏼
No problem Kelly!
Great Content!!
Thank you!!
Nice technique on that drawer. You clearly know what your doing which lends credibility to the review. I just picked an x5 up. Looks like a decent little machine.
Looks like you've done this a few times - thanks for the video!
Well done! 👍
Thank you!!!
Great video I'm less afraid to use it now😂 I still have not opened it but when I watch videos like this I get fired up when I see that finished product looks great and I'm sure your customers are very happy. Thanks for the how to video
I'm here for you! If you have any questions I got you! I'm glad this video helped out!
@@Wouldwoodwork thank you I'm actually getting ready to use it in the very near future the next week or two to help somebody with a garage regular paint I'm just worried about overspray crazy overspray
Nicely done, you've got good technique with the sprayer, and the finished product looks great!
Thank you! Thanks for watching the video
Looking to buy an x5 this week on a future fence build with latex finish. Your video was extremely helpful on the set up. I’m not to versed in pump sprayers. I’m an hvlp guy but again, great video. It pretty much closed me on getting this machine.
I'm glad you found this video helpful. You won't be disappointed with your machine! We upgraded ours to a Cart styled Pro x19 but we still use our Magnum x5 from time to time.
Good luck on your fence build. 🙏🏾
I SURELY APPRECIATE THIS VIDEO. I HAVE THE X5, & I AM VERY HANDS-ON. THANK YOU FOR THE TUTORIAL. 🙏🏾
Not a problem at all! I'll be putting out another video on a new Graco I picked this month.
Excellent, thanks. My sprayer is coming tomorrow.
Good work.
Thanks!
great video!
Thank you!!
We've been using food-grade airbrushes in the cake industry for decades now, and I finally got a uh, a house one.
I don't know if anyone would read this, but the man-made mechanism used to spin the shelves on, a Turn-Table would do just fine as well. And they make some models strong and sturdy enough for wedding cakes. So I'm sure one can air brush drawers on it.
---
Getting the hose in your work is a problem lots of us have encountered. ;) Can't just wipe it away on a cake either. That's a full on redo of a surface depending on the damage. I purposely keep a smaller length of hose just so I don't get cocky, and I rotate the piece around to reach it better. Bring it to me. I don't go to it.
Thanks!
Good video bro much love
Thanks Jason! I appreciate you for being here 🙏🏾
excellent video thanks
No problem!
Nice pantry for that small space! Definitely revisiting this for both the sprayer instructions and pantry inspiration ✌️
solid! check out our Instagram we have a ton of inspo over there too
Great video.
Thanks!
First, love the drawers in the pantry! Been in my house for 4 years and it’s time to repaint the entire interior of the house!
Thank you!!! I know thinking of painting your whole house is a daunting task but when you start, 1 room at a time it'll be complete before you know it!
We just built a shed so I’d most definitely use the graco sprayer for that project 🙌
that's exciting and amazing congrats on the new shed. Good luck to you guys!
awesome. thanks.
No problem!!
So many projects! I need to repaint the whole house and ceilings, I have all my wood working projects that can use coatings, especially the furniture I’ve started
that house project is going to be a big one! good luck on your wood working projects!
Great tutorial, thanks...for what you are doing you start spraying before coating your product, is this to avoid spitting spots? I was using the X5 for the first time on a wall and was getting spitting spots
Awesome
thank you!
Love the vid!!! Just bought x5. Was looking for something to paint hardy board with little groves on small exterior portion of house!
Thank you family! This will definitely treat you right! We've been using ours for two and half years and love everything it's capable of
So many things! House! Kitchen cabinets!! Would love love a sprayer!!! ♥️
oh man your hubby has a lot on his plate now! good luck!!
As a videographer who makes training videos, this was very well put together video, thank you for taking the time and sharing the knowledge!
Im glad you found it helpful and thanks for the video comment!
I would use it to make extra money to pay for my wife’s cancer treatments
I'm sorry to here your wife is battle cancer, my girlfriends sister is right breast cancer. I wish we were still doing the giveaway but it ended a while ago. I'll be praying for your family brother 🙏🏾
The X5 would come in handy spraying trim , doors, walls and ceilings on my upcoming home project.
thats for sure!
We need this for our house to paint some rooms!
This will make it quick and easy!
I’d use this to spray my garage after I finish my garage project.
That will be dope brother! 💪🏾
I'd use the Truecoat for so many around the house projects. My porch, my garage, and various other small projects
this would be great for all of those projects!
Tips if you bought a magnum x5.
Buy a RAC X spray guard. Its Graco's professional line, and bolts right on. Then you can use their fine finish tips and low pressure tips!
Step 2 would be to replace that gun with the contractor version 2 finger gun with swiveling hose connection. Ive heard many pro's recommend a 2 finger gun, stating "2 fingers to control the gun, 2 fingers to control the spray" - a painter.
I was looking @ getting the Magnum X5, but i have decided to wait and get the Finish Pro GX19. I was already looking @ swapping the gun and tips over to the contractor side, which this model comes with.
I dont know the max capabilities of the X5, but the GX19 maxes out on a size 19 tip. Its a little different in design, made with a 1.5gal hopper for easier cleaning with minimal product waste. Its made for those looking to change colors more often which is my use case.
I would use the Graco Magnum 2022 to save time on all my DIY and interior design painting projects.
this will save you a ton of time!
Perfect for PollockWoodworks custom furniture!
He will definitely love this sprayer! We love ours!
Loved the video. Do you have a video on how clean up sprayer and switching paint colors?
Thank you Jenny! I do, it's deep in my video catalogue but it's one of the first videos I put it. It shows my entire cleaning process and how to store your Graco when not using it for long periods of time
Very thoughtful professional video. Not rushed lots of useful tips. Was curious what tip you used?
Man I would love to use the x5 for spraying my cabinetry!
That would be clean! It's definitely quicker to spray bookshelves for sureb
People have been saying drop the pressure to the lowest setting that gets a nice pattern.
Does that mean going into the Roller settings? Or do I start from the (start) position and into the "Spray" section of pressure? I assumed the "spray" section, but i seem to have tails when spraying.
Great video...painting a tiny home and wanted to figure out a better way to paint the wainscoting and walls. Last time I painted, way too much paint at a high pressure caused me problems with drips. I think the 415 tip at a lower pressure should help with that issue.
You're spot on. Try keeping the gun 12" away from the wall too
I do drywall and painting on the side of being a finish carpenter and I don’t have a good setup for painting besides brushes and rollers. A good sprayer like that would be amazing! So to answer the question I would use it for painting projects and jobs
this will definitely be a your go to! rolling is great but spraying is so much faster! good luck on the giveaway
I would live to win one of your sprayers. Bought a competitors and I'm a little disappointed. I would definitely paint my home that I purchased after living here for 21 years. Also I had a friend fix my senior citizen neighbor's deck by installing new steps and we redesigned the steps to make it easier for her to walk down the steps. It's almost a year so it's about time to paint her deck. Thanks for the opportunity.
You have a great plan! Good luck on this giveaway 😎 we love the Graco sprayers, they are definitely quality!
Great video! I just grabbed an X5
Solid! Have you used yours yet?
@@Wouldwoodwork have to paint a built in today with it!
Looks great! Do you wood fill or edgeband the plywood edges before painting?
I edgeband our plywood edges. You get a better finish
I'd use that X5 to paint my house inside and out!
I would LOVE to spray my kitchen cabinets for that real professional finish!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
this sprayer will definitely give you a nice finish! Good luck!
Thank you!!
I would use either sprayer to help further myself along in quitting my 9-5 and being an official small business owner! Lately I’ve started by refinishing old pieces of furniture like dressers , tables , etc to get some extra income so that my girlfriend can stay home with our 8 week old son and not have to go back to work so fast but I’ve been taking on more and more side projects also and a graco sprayer has been on the tool list for a while to speed things up! 😂 Regardless of the give away I first found you guys on tik-tik about 2-3 months ago and love not only the work you guys do but how you do it as a family as well! You guys have been super inspirational for me and I’m sure plenty of others! Keep up the good work and awesome videos!
My first time watching. I’m impressed and can’t wait to see your next video. My next project is a wooden jewelry box. It’s about 4’ tall and 2’ wide. I will try that before I jump on anything large. Thank you sharing
Congratulations on your new born son! I know you guys are super happy about your little one. This graco would speed up a lot of your projects, thank you for being a supporter of our channel, I am really happy I can help you and inspire you. This is literally what I love to do and knowing I'm helping people find their passion in this as well makes my day for real.
Thank you for stopping by Reginald! Good luck on your jewelry box, that will be a fun project! Take some pics for me when you complete it please!
Hey Chase! So the initial giveaway winner did not notify us so guess what... you won!!! Could you please send us a message on Instagram. Sam will ask for the information we need. Congrats! I hope this helps you along your journey.
Excellent video. I would like to paint a room and a built-in bookcases 😎
That would be cool! make sure you send me some pics when you start that project!
Does the graco x5 come with tips to spray? Or those are separate
❤❤❤
I would use the x5 to paint my garage door as well as my front door and all of my kiddos bedrooms. Then stain out porch 😊
I want to elevate from hobby to business. First use would be for of course making my wife happy and doing the new cabinets and vanities I talked her into letting me build!!
Also, my carpel/ulnar tunnel issues would prefer to get away from a brush and roller!
Those will come out looking cleann!!! Definitely tag me in those pictures when you start if you can.
I would use the x5 to paint my ceilings in the entire house and the exterior.
Honestly first thing I would paint the first house I can get because I would like to start a painting business, so a Jumpstart to a career that I can call my own.
that's a great idea! maybe start under someone who runs a painting business on the weekends to learn the ins and outs of the business then start your own
@@Wouldwoodwork luckily I've done painting before when I was younger but I was young also and didn't think ahead but I would still go back to refresh and learn pricing before I venture out by myself, appreciate the advice, thank you.
Have you ever switched out the guard to the rac x and used an fflp tip with the X5? Just curious to see if the fflp would perform well with the X5.
I asked the guys over at Sherwin Williams if i could do that swap and they said this system can't support the switch. I'd be tempted to buy the pieces and try it myself just to confirm
Will this spray acrylics. I have a mobile home to paint
I would use the Graco for painting all of my golden oak kitchen and bathroom cabinets and vanities. Would be a game changer.
for sure would be!
Hey Adam, I'm sure you are wondering who won the giveaway.. Well it was YOU! Congrats on winning our first ever UA-cam giveaway!
Please DM us on instagram.
Hey Adam, could you please reach out to us by Thursday. If not, we will have to give it to the next runner up. You can contact us via Instagram.
Would like to use for painting kitchen cabinets
this would be perfect for that!
Would appreciate if anyone can reply. He applied believe two coats of primer, I assume you prime first then apply the reg white cabinet paint? What guard and tip is recommended to paint kitchen shaker cabinets - ty
Yes 1 coat primer 2 top coats for doors and cabinet faces is what I do not. Any tip between 110-310 would be great or 114-314 that way you don't use to much paint
I have an entire house to paint including ceilings and exterior so been seeking the best ways and products to do so.
this would be the tool for the job!
I need this unit. I'd give my house a much needed fresh paint job on every floor. Redo my garage and evertthing.
listen, I know your pain! I need to do a few projects around the house myself only difference is im putting it off -__- lol
3:13 the priming button move's the steel ball inside the discharge side valve to make sure it is not stuck it doesn't "open a throttle"
Thanks for the clarification 🫡
Excellent video, and nice final product!!! But I think I would've come up with a doorstop, in order to hinge that pantry door on the right, for the sake of functional elegance. Or...imagine just making that whole setup into a giant Lazy Susan, which simply swivels 180º to reveal the interior with all of the drawers and shelves, and when closed, just looks like another door. Proper placement of the handle hardware would make it intuitive for the user, so that they're not trying to open it like a normal door...😁 You made me get carried away, and I'm just researching airless sprayers so I can paint my truck.😅 Really leaning toward just using an airbrush now...
