Incredible! Love Freddie’s voice and that bass riff of Deacon’s. So bluesy and funky. All four of these guys were so magical together. Queen always surprised you and changed up their concerts with different ways of familiar songs and sometimes adding stuff that they hadn’t even recorded yet. In the USA south we say Freddie was a soulman. Thanks!
This and the full demo of Face It Alone disappeared in November 2022 from UA-cam when the full Miracle Box set was launched. Thanks for doing this and sorry for my impatience
This was awesome! I could listen to them just trying out things for hours! If there are more of these I hope we can hear them. Thanks tpo whoever suggested this.
Deacon effects in Queen music wasn’t appreciated, but his bass get some of Queen music to other level. Example “The kind of Magic” , where Freddie rebuilds the song, changing some lyrics and adding more bass to the song. I think that bass riffs take the song to a different level and make it more likable. Bryan’s guitar, Roger’s drums , and Freddie voice were awesome, but the bass make the song magic.
Is that Deaky on Bass . . or someone , maybe it's Deaky on rhythm guitar. Of course I know we've seen those clips in other videos.Oops you just said ,,, so it's Deaky serious on bass! YES! fyi ,Love your commentary starting around 16. Also I thought Deaky was focusing on undergirding Freddie ....but a couple times after you mentioned it he did seem to grab Roger then Brian for a bit. Fun listen . . .thanks.
Queen demos are 100% better than anything new I hear on the radio. Thanks for this one. I have never heard it before.
Freddie 😍
This really makes me miss Freddie! 🥺❤️
This is awesome! TY Nick and Rory … now I’ll be looking for it all over the place. Will keep me busy ✌🏼😂

Odeon cinemas are releasing the full queen rock montreal concert, in IMAX. As a one off i think for 1 week.
Are you going to see it ?
Yes John Deacon the secret weapon of Queen!!!!!
This demo was recorded in 1988 and it was released as a cleaned version on the b-side on "headlong".

Of course he’s a little tipsy which makes it even better.

Quite clear why this didn't end up on an album, as it usually is with these 'cutting room floor' songs, that's where it belongs.
No s*** Sherlock. It's improvisatory jamming, nothing more, nothing less!
@@Owlstretchingtime78 You know what, we're all so lucky there are smart guys like you to guide us lesser mortals. And my name isn't Shetlock.
@@reggiestan I put Sherlock.
@@Owlstretchingtime78 But my name isn't Sherlock. I think you're confusing me with Sherlock Holmes, not sure why.
@@reggiestan It's an old saying. I meant no harm in using it.
