Thank you for showing the replacement. I was hoping it would not be difficult and it looked fairly simple. It is funny it is "safe mode" as my car will rev up and down when the light comes on! 😂 So maybe mine is trying to put me through the wall lol

@@itskingboy189 your ABS sensors on the axles bearings give you a speed reading for for traction control and braking. Plus the speed sensor on the transmission goes to the dash . TPMS is only tire pressure if flat may reduce speed on highway and go to limp mode so you do not have a accident usually on newer vehicles ,
@@PeterMilster Nope...Ive had all the Stability lights, traction control and abs lights on for several years and 60k miles and never had Reduced Engine Power until about a week ago. I'm leaning towards Pedal assembly/sensor or TB problem.
Ok, so the pedal replacement worked for about 2 months. I replaced a cooler line and left battery unplugged while doing it (it took a week, which sucked) and now she's throwing a P1516. Throttle is clean, wires look good, I'm at my wits end 😂. It's intermittent and only when I try to take off from a stopped position. If I turn it completely off it resets. I don't have any trusted mechanic nearby and need advice. I did an idle relearn and so far so good, but feels like only a matter of time.
I had this happen just last night driving Isuzu delivery truck with V8 gasoline engine. Lost throttle control while driving 45 mph, but could move the truck 1 mph using engine idle. Turned the ignition off and waited 20-30 minutes to restart the engine and the check engine light with ⬇ did not come back on and normal throttle operation was restored.
I changed my pedal position sensor and i work good for about 6 months. Now I'm having the same problem. I bought the pedal & sensor on ebay.. Now i believe i didn't get it brand new. I replaced my computer and relearned process but that didn't change. So I'll have ti buy a new pedal.

I have a 2011 gmc terrain, last night my engine stops completely and the message came on power engine reduced, can it be the same problem with throttle body, I parked the car and haven't try any thing because all shops are closed today
Replace the whole throttle body and the whole pedal assembly. Now it's says reduced engine power. It ran good for about six months after I replace those things I also put a new fuel pump in it. If I disconnect the battery and hook it back up will the car make it home I got about 15 more miles to drive
I replaced my pedal. And my air filter. Still having the issue got my oil changed still having. So I seen something about a fuel pump. But does the pedal and sensor come together automatically or do you have to specify

I replaced my pedal last year for another reason and the reduced engine power code started happening intermittently, sometimes multiple times in a row after pulling over trying to psych it out by shutting it off, open the door, shut the door, insert the key and start it up. Still does it. My mechanic recently programmed mine at no cost and I was unaware you had to do that. It is still happening. But ai realize maybe the pedal I got was defective? Maybe it is causing the issue? Is the programing really necessary?

On my 07 the tire pressure light caused the problem because the tire pressure sensor reads the speed of the car and pressure.
