Well, on a vehicle after 2010 this has been an issue. I needed this reminder of parts that included connections to computers that are crucial. Thanks for putting in the work and sharing it.

This is an excellent video. I had just been working on my Ford Windstar SEL van. I cleaned the 3 oxygen sensors that are all located under the van. Oh well, that's life. I noticed that my gas mileage had gone down considerably and knew that it was time 2 clean the sensors again. It is a pain 2 clean them, but I had done this job before. Anyway, I finished cleaning the sensors, started my van and backed down from the ramp that I had put it on. I noticed that my check engine light was on, damn. I looked up on You Tube how 2 reset the Engine light, but really didn't want 2 do this because, this is my car, and I knew that the Engine lite was trying 2 tell me something. The good news is that after watching your video and going over the checklist of potential problems, I realized that I had not cleaned the carbon out of the EGR valve. I cleaned the EGR valve, started my van and the Check Engine light went out on it's own because there were no more problems with my exhaust system. Thanks again 4 your help. Keep up the good work.

Hi, You have helped me in the past. Twice in the past two years, my RAV4 V6 had CEL-VSC-4WD lights come on. Code reader said it was ignition coil and sure enough, replacing those coils (D and F) fixed the issue. A few days ago, the lights came on and code reader said it is Coil E, which is hard to get to. So, I found a mobile mechanic who will change those three coils for me that are in the back, under the intake. Appointment on Tuesday. Today, however, the CEL started flashing. I drove it a total of 4 miles with it flashing and won't drive it again till mechanic looks at it. My question is, is the flashing CEL light related to that coil E being bad? Or will I have a bigger issue to deal with? I don't have my own code reader and can't drive to Auto Zone and don't really know this mechanic and want to have an idea of what is wrong in advance. Thank you!
Thanks, really helpful video running through all the items that could be problematic - reassuring to know diagnosis can be done quickly and easily at a garage.

Let me add a title helpful hint I was getting a fake code which turned on my check engine light or kept telling me the upstream 02 had a high heater so I replaced the 02 cleared the code within a second the mil light came on ugh so I thought my pcm was bad long story short it was NOT A FAULT with the 02 or pcm it was a negative wire short once I fixed the offending wire the mil light never came back on so before you replace anything even if your codes tell you there's a hard Gault do not believe it until you check the related wires for a short because a faulty ground can make your pcm lie to you and empty your wallet...hope that bit helps someone out the car was a or cruiser btw

It is that time again for inspection and the code reads PO138 B1S2 high voltage ignition something . I asked the mechanic if the spark plugs could cause it to go off and he said no. I have had it to numerous mechanics and no one seems to know how to fix it. They keep resetting it and telling me to drive 50 miles and bring back in to pass it. So frustrating.
oxygen sensor is going out you will have to test each one with a multimeter to figure it out
i have toyota yaris 2007 ,when i start engine check light off when i drive then show check light how i fix it.
Take it to an auto parts store and have them check it with a computer scanner which they should do for free and this will tell you what's wrong.

You're the first person that's ever asked me that. ua-cam.com/video/3Z8I2BDJOBE/v-deo.html
This is really helping me understand the issue with my car.
Exactly the point, my young level-headed friend.
You made an informative video. Thank you.
My car’s engine check light goes on and off. Thanks for the info sir. God bless.
Take it to an auto parts store and they will check it with a diagnostic scanner for free.
@@proclaimliberty2000 thanks sir!!
@@montuwali7211 👍😊
only problem is once you fix the problem the light needs to be reset with diagnostics machine
You can remove the cable from your battery and put it back and it resets your sensor lights but it will reset your radio, clock, etc
Knowledge is power
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us 🙏🙏
Thank you so much this really help God bless you as well
Sure I'll be able to replace the part myself . Could you just put a instructional video on how to get that stick to hold the hood up ?
A pair of vise grips should do the trick in assisting with that hood from free falling on your head !!!

My
Modern cars need to always have a good battery, a good alternator, and good connections.
Makes perfect sense cuz we're all car mechanics & engineers.
