It seems like the physics are an improvement in 2024, I wish the audio was too but that can be fixed with fs realistic.

I still hate looking down to see I have no hands on the yoke and no feet on the pedals.

Aspen is a challenge to land in. Make it a hot day..... you'll see the performance challenge.

Glass cockpits just ruin it for me. Like flying a television. Boring. Sorry.

I agree - I was just testing the flight model though.

That doesn’t really carry over to real life, but I suppose for a game.

If one was to buy a new 172, a glass cockpit can ordered. Reality is on your average rental fleet and FBO flight school, no glass.
In MSFS world the base cessna 172 comes with glass. The step up C272 is steam gage with GNS 530/430 combo.
Myself i never flew glass in real life, i worked in Africa as a bush pilot in Africa with Cessna Caravans and Pilatus Porters. No glass or even GPS.

I can't read the numbers on these screens, sorry. On a real plane this might work. I can navigate with analog instruments, but I have to be able to tune in to radio frequencies, which was much easier in FSX.

@@Frank71 The Caravans I flew in as a pax in Africa had glass cockpits.

I guess everyone forgot they signed a Nondisclosure Agreement.

On the contrary, I didn't sign anything - the technical alpha preview was available to everyone via the Xbox insider hub for 3 days, and it was stated by the community manager on the flight simulator forum that there was no non-disclosure agreement in place for it. Remember - this is/was an old build, not representative of the final product at all and simply to allow testing of backend systems. You won't find mention of this on the forum any more since they archived all of the posts related to the alpha now that it's over, but thanks for your concern.

Some folks think they know it all. Good on you for making a fool of yourself 👍
