Wonderful to see another video from you again Captain - that was an awesome landing! The strength of the wind was very evident with the frequent swift control changes done so expertly - and that you kept the controls full right as you were turning left during taxing! Loved all those extra details you added to the video - from the enlarging of the headings display or thrust, to the chart so that the viewer can better understand the complicated and yet so exciting job that is being a pro pilot (especially when going blind through the whiteout of cloud cover, with only gauges to assist). My craziest night was training im a 172 at Rwy 25 at 088, night, with a crosswind of literally 340 @ 29, gusting 35. It was full deflection, no flaps with what felt like a 45⁰ crab. Shout out to Chris from PSA, one of the best instructors I've even had (he showed me the true envelope of that little plane). It was too hectic to do touch - and - goes, so I stopped and taxied back each time. Taxiing was almost as difficult because the gusts kept trying to make it feather on the ground. We did at least four or five before heading to the home airport. So much learned in one flight when I was right around 30 hours into my private. Chris K, you're the man!
That is well done! Also crosswind technique is something you cannot really learn from a book. You must go out and practice. Good call you took your instructor along for guidance and safety. To you and your family I wish a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2024. Happy Landings, Capt. Guido
Excellent Guido. Here in Argentina Comodoro Rivadavia Aerport (SAVC / CRV) is normal wind speed 40 / 50 Kts . I operated at that airport with SA227 and B732. Fortunately, the wind at that airport has few wind shears, it is quite laminar. Congratulations Guido, Good Flights

why have i not seen this channel before?! Love the close ups with what you were doing in the cockpit and charts. just got my first pilot job flying the Kingair200 in Sweden. hope for opportunities to keep flying turboprops such as the caravan eventually. seems like a great machine to fly!
Thank you! Congratulations on the first job and my best wishes for your flying career. The King Air is a good stepping stone into light jets and from there all is open.
Scroll through my channel, there are a lot of King Air B100 videos that might be interesting for you.

I have enjoyed your videos for quite sometime now, thanks so much. You had to "fly" the caravan all the way to tie down!!
Thanks for yu patience.
It was quite windy and it is important to keep control of the aircraft at all times. Until reaching the parking position.

I swear I couldn't tell when you actually touched the runway! Amazing pilot skills. I probably couldn't land that smoothly even in calm winds!

Thank you for sharing this experience - and may You and the whole Family have a wonderful Christmas Season!
Thank you very much for your kind words.
I am glad you enjoyed the video.

I could never be a pilot, first of all , I'm too dumb, 2nd, I cannot understand what the heck they are saying, they speak way too fast.
Once you get used it’s easy. You can basically expect what atc would say.
You were told HDG 200 (and you dialed and flew 200..), but in your video you write 220. Such a smooth TD under these conditions. Great job! My hands just get wet only by watching you taxiing...
Thank yo Michael. That was a typo. eyes like an eagle you have.
when you look at a video 100x during the editing process, you are unable to see even big typo errors.

Greetings Gustavo!
I was only once at Commodore Rivadavia in my time as a mining engineer. It is a rough place...
Strong wind is ok, wind shear can bring an airplane down. You are a good pilot when you operate there!
Un cordial saludo and Happy landings,
Capt. Guido
Show off! 🙂 Great job, also demonstrates that the flight isn't complete until the aircraft is parked and secured.
Thank you!
That is particularly true in a taildragger aircraft.

not sure if its the audio, but understanding some ATC sounds like a job in itself here.

Such a smooth landing despite of the chaos the winds were trying to cause.
So slow and smooth.
Thank you.
The landing was ok as the crosswind component was still reasonable. The taxing to the rand with the wind blowing 90 degrees from the side was challenging.

What sim do you have.

@@GuidoWarnecke Thank you for the offer of ATC routes. As for my sim, I was using Xplane 11, but switched to MSFS. I'm strictly a GA guy, and I love the startup and shutdown procedures as much as the flying.
Thank you.
As I run my sim on a hi speed Macbook, I cannot use MSFS, not compatible with IOS.
If you need ATC routes for specific flights , just send an email.
