@@andyb0000I'm tired of everyone saying this. I've been on VR since the DK1 and there is definitely going back. I still prefer simming on my oled 4k display without a brick strapped to my face. I think VR is cool, I have 5 HMDs, but it's not what people claim it is. Back in the vive 1 days, they said it was going ro take over gaming by now, and it hasn't. In fact, it's been losing market share every year and the only industry keeping it afloat is simulation games.
though i highly doubt you'd hear the sounds of insects in winter, i love the sounds of the footsteps through the crunching snow as it gets packed, which sounds pretty realistic. with the connection requirements i may have to give this a pass for now as i have a 300 gig data cap/month on my internet, which amazingly is mid tier service for my provider here in Canada through Telus (edit: it does look amazing though, even at night)
At the end of this video, where you are walking up to the building, is it possible to open up the door and walk inside? Now that would be really cool to see.
It should not be. Especially with full moon and reflected snow. Even in dark sky zones, it's not that clear. It's very hard to see with the naked eye. The images you see are long exposure and corrected in post. I've done many astro photography of the milly way, I have first hand knowledge.
Oh my god that's awesome. I won't get away without a new gpu. Currently on a 1660ti i am running fs2020 locked on 30fps all high and some ultra on 1440p, but i don't think 6gb vram will be enough for 2024.
It changes with the scenery sometimes frames of 24 are higher sometimes lower sometimes the same, taking the fact that 24 has greater detail that alone is a great feat
That milky way needs to go. I'm a real pilot and an amateur astro photographer and I've never seen it that clear anywhere in the world, not even certified dark sky areas.
Seriously really disappointed since it’s an easy fix and takes away from the realism this game was made for. I mean it’s that bright over NYC how ridiculous.
Please, please, please stop the weather popping in. 8:50... Crystal clear... 8:55 "Ping" low level fog! Come on. Weather blending between two regions should not be difficult!
Crickets chirping in the winter landscape. That is awesome ;-)
Lol. You beat me to it
Lol
oh come on, you broke my immersion. i don't even think about it until you mentioned it :)
First person mode is such a game changer. This is insane, its like you're actually there.
Once you've tried VR there is no going back
@@andyb0000eh, VR is not appealing to me. Don’t get me wrong, it is awesome, but the kind of flying I do wouldn’t be all that much fun in VR.

@@underleftnot to mention the awful visuals in VR unless you want to buy a top of the line space computer and the most expensive be headset.
😮
This is so wonderful to watch it makes me wanna build an enclosed cockpit its that good.

Microsoft is so on point that if this was said to them I am pretty sure they would turn off night sounds by weather.
You have non-flatrate contracts in Canada?
It looks fantastic! Funny thing is when you hover over instruments reflection on right window shows mouse highlighting :)
SSR Screen space reflection vs Raytracing 💡🐁
OMG, what a game!!! It'll be incredible!!
The last thing you want on in the cockpit at night is white lights.
Ça vas être du lourd !
Wow... even walking on the snow sounds real
I can only imagine how astonishing the night sky at Antarctica will be 😮
This is amazing
Lovely. But cikada or grasshopper song in the winter? 🙂
They're on holiday.

Does the avatar have a flashlight for dark walk arounds?

Was this bold airstrip at eklutna lake?
nice video!
Chirping insects during vinter? :)
From what I discovered the soundscapes aren't done per season. Maybe in the future they can add that!
Is there a way to turn off the highlighting of surfaces when you mouse over them? Breaks immersion at night. Thanks.
In accessibility options
I think a bit of vibration on the front console woudnt be so bad for extra realism
especially when you start up the engine
Can you go in the hanger?

Is the Milky Way visible overhead? Shouldn't it be?
look again

Nice video - just get rid of the blue highlighting.
