You can get the tailgate locking upgraded to include it being locked with the main doors etc. Also you can get a module that will allow for auto window up and mirrors in etc so a lot of things missing can be added at a small cost. I have the 23 Model and have added a few extras overall I am extremely happy with my Ute
@@__PJ__ I own a 2021 Isuzu MU-X, I couldn't care less about the D-MAX. Nonetheless, imo the non X-Terrain POST facelift D-MAX looks better. With paint around the grill instead of the black trim accents on the X-Terrain.

be a good test... we cant buy them in the U.S. no LC 300 , 70 series ,hi lux , all the wagons /s.u.vs we have are lame soccer mom mobiles = a fully loaded 3 row luxury family school bus and no diesels
Central locking on the tailgate is a $600 option which I got but made them throw it in before I signed. Heads up display would be better than any analogue or digital dash, that would have been nice as my 8 year old commodore has that. And a wireless charging pad is also available but I didn't ask how much.

Like the xterrain. The beeps are there for the same reason we have all that driver tech. Like lane assist, braking assist, blind spot monitoring ect. Because of stupid people that can’t look or focus on the actual road. Or just simply shouldn’t have a dam licence! The extra cost and time vehicles spend in the workshop now is ridiculous even worse since they put in egr and dpf systems. If most people used a brain cell when they sit behind a steering wheel manufacturers might actually be able to put r&d money into actually making dual cabs actual 4x4s not just over priced shopping trolleys. But hey. As long as stupid can drive a bit safer who needs a 4x4?
I can't believe some clown out there actually had enough pull in the company to make an infotainment system which restricts use of the touch screen menu while driving. That's a pretty big insult to their customers intelligence. A low blow by isuzu. It really shows a huge disconnect between this brand and its customers. The gray nomads are going to be pissed and rightfully so
$70k lmao, what exactly are you buying for this price over a Cannon XSR other than a brand name ? These overpriced utes offer nothing other than a brand name these days..
@@ashcosmo3854 Quality engineering from a brand that has over 50 years of experience developing these types of vehicles, a correct suspension tune, good resale value, an ergonomic driving position, fuel economy that matches the performance, and a bigger dealer/servicing network in Australia. Just to name a few 🙃 But, yes. I agree. Prices are getting out of hand these days.
@drivingenthusiastaustralia Quality engineering and suspension tuning ? You mean like the last dmax and BT50 needing a steering knuckle put in to counter the excessive tyre wear and bump steer ? GWM, LDV, Ssangyong and Mahindra have been making cars for decades. There's simply no good argument to justify why this vehicle costs $70k. All of those points you listed can be applied to any brand lol Dmax's aren't the only Ute's with an ergonomic driving position and good fuel consumption. So where is my $70k going against a cannon xsr ? I don't see it lol
@@ashcosmo3854 Of course all those points can be applied to other utes. I’m simply answering your specific question. I don’t think the D-Max is the best all-round ute, personally. But from my testing, it is better than the XSR in many ways. Has GWM addressed the suspension issue of the Tank 300’s rear wheels coming off the ground under hard braking? I haven’t heard about any official fix or even acknowledgement from the comany that it’s an issue. At least with an Isuzu or whatever other brand, you’ll likely get some sort of plan in place to fix issues.

Was nicer looking pre facelift IMO
I reckon it's the black accents around the grill.
The non X-Terrain face-lift looks better because it doesn't have the obnoxious accents.
Only to people who bought one just before the upgrade was announced PMSL

A ute with reliability, Hilux. A ute that drives great with or without a load, Amarok. For a Budget, LDV. Do not get a Great Wall.
For value for money, go with the Triton.

Apparently its fixed with this "facelift" other reviewers have mentioned that.
