Does the engine need to be on or just the the ignition, I have just bought this device and I'm getting nothing out of it but I know I have an abs fault which shows up on another code reader.
I have a 2004 Chevy Express 3500 6L van with the "G" in the vin. I have a P0200 Injector circuit code which is also throwing a P0300 Intermittent Misfire code. It is running rough but when I pulled each coil wire, it ran rougher so the injectors must be working. Will that scanner tell me what's wrong?
Yes it will save you money, I got mine a week ago and it saved me $611.21 , the mechanic wanted $770.00 to replace the fuel lines on my 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 4.8 Lt 4x4 . That $770.00 was just labor that’s not including the part’s so yeah it is definitely worth getting the Launch Creader VII+ for sure, you can plug-in and drive your vehicle! It beat’s buying them cheap’O one’s that you can get at auto zone or any auto parts store, the auto parts store don’t offer this scanner in any of them auto parts store, so yes get one you will love it, don’t get it on Amazon because they want $134.97 buy it directly from them and it only cost $89.00 free shipping, I found that out after I got mine from Amazon, oh well still happy with it, I fixed my wife’s problem with her 2018 jeep and she is happy I saved her $2000 bucks
I bought one of these second hand it’s say initialising but then goes black screen. I’ve called Launch in UK But they say they cannot help me as it’s not a UK unit. So I’m looking for any help please. Thanks Regards

It's just basic engine code reader. I could have used my $15 obd2 scan. I dont want rush to say it's piece of junk or too basic. I emailed the company in china to ask why doesn't read transmission temp for Toyota. They responded but I sold the car. Honestly I can't say if they had given me the software to installed would it work or not.
Depends what you want to do. Your $15 tool won’t do all what this can. This is supposedly the cheapest reader that will do ABS and airbag faults. Will your $15 reader do that? Hello........?
Well I have a $15 scanner and it is a junk I got this launched creader VII+ I love it I paid $89 bucks for it and you can plug it in and drive your vehicle and it will show misfiring and which cylinder is is misfiring and what cylinder is get to much fuel and cylinder is not getting enough fuel and a while hell of a lot more, it has paid for it self already, I used it on my Chevy Silverado and my wife’s 2018 jeep and it had saved me a lot of cash by knowing and doing the work myself, like it would have cost me $770 just to have a mechanic do it! It cost me only the price of the new fuel lines and fuel pump $140.79 and I did the labor
RDMuscleCars Snap on has a tester that checks ignition voltages from plugs and wires. It checks voltages, resistance, frequency, and other info! It has a scope trace reading. Check on EBAY.
Returned mine because it couldn't tell me much about my Infiniti M45. It says it reads ABS codes and erases them but there wasn’t any such reading on mine, even when I unplugged the sensors. It told me everything is okay on the car but my engine is a mess right now.
Please show me I just bought mine on my car for the ABS it showed me that it wasn't transmitting and I saw the speed sensors had connection were not working.
nope, the DIY models typically only have a few functionalities, and you have to buy one that specifies that it includes tpms, like these: amzn.to/2NOXIlo (affiliate link). The MK808 in my other video does tpms also.

Can you look a individual cylinders with this scanner? Read misfire on individual cylinders?

Plus the serial number didn't support the DIY series.
