IAT is intake air temperature. Not sure if you just made a mistake or weren’t sure but compare IAT to ECT can give you some good information. Nice to see you getting into more diagnostic stuff.

does the engine have to be running to do the misfire test or does it show you previous counts stored in the ECU from the last run cycle in which case you wouldn't really need to have the engine running for that test right?

Was just going to pull the trigger on this scan tool but decided to UA-cam it and was super surprised to see that you were reviewing this. I am a subscriber and your review was super helpful and hopefully I will be able to get rid of my P0420 on my Suzuki because the description is still a little vague on whether it’s the O2 sensor or cat issue.. deuces brother!

Thanks for this man. Just wondering if you know if it can clear lamp malfunction codes. I put a couple of led bulbs in 2012 bmw. Keep getting malfunction code. This units not identifying anything. I was hoping it would clear them. Any ideas....thanks.

Sorry for the dumb question, but do you use this when the car is turned on or off? Just got one and realized I had no idea...
When ON the device shows your RPM. Is good to know if your car is over or under the normal RPM.

Do these things work vest on older cars? My car is a 2015 and I’m putting off buying this because the only negative comments I’ve seen about this device are people with cars from 2012 and newer
Seems to work just fine for me, but it depends on what all your trying to achieve while using it. No bi-directional functions, not a whole lot of data (some) and it's not going to give you codes for ABS or SRS or TCM. Food for thought. As far as a code reader does.... it does what all the others do with a little more for a lot less. Just My Opinion.
Justin Dow so the negative feedback from people saying that their car has as issue that the device never picked up is purely because the issue their car has the device isn’t meant to detect? Never really thought of it that way, my car has an engine light on because of something dpf related so the device should detect that so I can determine what needs replaced

for misfire counters yes. Too pull codes no. Is that what your asking?
I purchased this after seeing this video and on a 2002 ford it comes up with communication error tried various ways get the same code every time. Any idea why?
Yes. Try another scan tool if it still shows the same thing than you have no power or ground going to the DLC and you should check fuses in the PDC (power distribution center) usually located under the hood, Some located under the driver knee panel and or passenger knee panel. check fuses though that should help.

@@manbearbeard No worries. Check out some of the intermediate scan tools. CN launch has a lot to choose from and it can get tiring sorting through the various ones, but they do have them for under $200 that will do what you want it to do. Cheers!

I paid alot more than that for a cheap Blue Point code reader, all it does is read and clear codes, no data pids. I think I paid to much, lol
