Great video excellent where can i get quartz movement thank you and parts for quartz watch and i am look for a meter to test quartz to check the movement if is isolating with out taking disassemble watch
I think diamonsd rubis, gold and very hight prices are just trying to hide something. A simple mechnism, that hasnt a revolution or an evolution since 1920. Almost 100 years of the same stuff.
because of the finish and you could use a simple ETA 6497 movement and just beautify it to insane lengths, decorate it with platinum and throw diamonds or sapphires on it and it is worth dozens of thousands swiss franks
Mhc made the watch for graff which is a jeweller. Probably the entire case was made by graff. What is the point showcasing a jeweller without diamonds.
I think these guys are going in the wrong way. Mechnic is to simplify and develop, not turn it in more complex. I think that a new modern watch just need another , simplier and more efficent oscilator, i mean balance. mechnically can be donne. Tourbillion? It is just accurate as an old vointage so why bothering make something so complex??? Swiss are great, so why not make iy greater? i have a 50 year old geneve machine on my wrist now, i fixed it last month cause it was stoppped for a long timne forgotten in a box of some old man, now ist so accurate as a modern watch, So why not just develop something that is almost perfect?
@@lkkjhtemmexv1838 People don't buy mechanical luxury watches for accuracy, they want it because of its wow factor. And if you are really searching for an accurate oscillator in a mechanical watch, then take a look at the Grand Seiko spring drive. it uses a quartz oscillator instead of a balance wheel, but the whole watch is still powered by the mainspring. the watch costs around $5000, I think.
lkkjhtemmexv so I guess you still use a flip phone then? You know call and text is all you need on a phone, why bother with using Facebook, watching UA-cam etc? Live a simple life.
@@lkkjhtemmexv1838 Fuck you... Then why you in UA-cam? You don't need more entertainment than seeing the trees grow. Do you have a house? What for, live under a bridge.
Anon yme For cutting, they'd use a metal saw. It's like a string of a very tough metal, like tungsten for example. For polishing, they'd use simple water and gravel. They would pour the gravel with water and sand onto the rough parts and finish them with limes. Some independent watchmakers still use these techniques today.
th same instruments they used 100 years ago...as a mattrer of fact I ahve worked in wathces and I make all my own tools.A saw , a drill bit, a lathe, obviously everything in small sizes.
this technology and resources can be used to create lots of robotics ,with todays technology it can end with amazing results. but weird none doesnt ewen try it :P
the watch performs differently in different orientations, nowadays we have a technology called electricity and microchips, and another one called LCD screens.
Correct, my geneve wycj tha i have here is 12mm diameter. It has 50 years old and is so fucking precised, that is almos unbelieble. Conclusion, small, microscopic, compact= more reliable, less friction, cause componets hae less mass, , more resitant to shcoks, etc... It has just one adjustment leverm and is more accurate than a mechnic watch with two adjusting levers... the balance has some screws. Its a fucking machine that can resist time, and mooooooreeee. it is not magnetic, and dont corrode, the secret, ist made of a cheap golden metal, looks like brass. Toubillion? Why? Make it simplier and more accurate please, , then we will have a jewl.
I don't think there is any other industry than quantum computing assembly that gets to this level of human manufacturing. Simply amazing

I find the use of diamonds absolutely tacky... Damn it... why add them.

Could some who knows a bit about horology tell me what instruments they used to construct such miniscule parts in the 18th century?

Existem boas relojoarias na China até, nada comparável as boutiques da Suíça mas produzem relógios de excelência.
Too big.
