I think one of the most important factors in creating a good youtube video, is the angles. This is especially true in videos of making things, and you Mr. Diresta, excel at setting up your shots for being able to see what is being done. Thank you for doing what you do, I am always excited to see a new video posted from you!
It's a joy to watch someone who obviously has made a living being productive. There is no wasted motion and every move is almost choreographed. My dad was like that. It is also nice to see a youtube guy not use a hammer by the middle of the handle. Thank you Jimmy.

Very cool modification. It would be nice if manufactures made an aftermarket upgrade like this. It would make these portable band saws so much more useful. Great job Jimmy.
I really like the cnc stuff, but I think what makes this channel/your work outstanding is that you did this stuff without any cnc and I believe that you should keep doing so.

I have a portaband stand. The manufacturer recommends using a zip tie. I like the trigger wedge idea a lot better!
was a bit disappointed it wasn't a bandsaw box love watching your woodworking videos Jimmy but after watching you built this I immediately wasn't disappointed anymore you do some great work the cogs in your head must be spinning some crazy speeds
This is the coolest product idea I've seen you build just in terms of functionality. A lot of fabricators would buy one of these. If it could be done from all sheet goods and bent on a brake, cost would be really reasonable.
That lil bandsaw has done a bucket load of stuff. Great augment Mr. Diresta.

I am in doubt if I buy a manual saw that already has all the items that you did, base, support. Or if I buy a Torchmate® 4400 and 4800 CNC Plasma Cutting Tables, in this case, the machine, you could build a spaceship and go to Mars! hohohohoho. You are the man!!!

Maybe tack some wing nuts to those mounting screws so you don't have to always get a driver..if maybe longer screw you could tack wing nut as like a washer and still have Phillips head showing for either scenario...awesome ideas for the porta-band though...loving that torchmate...Thank You!!!

I loved when the camera angle at 1:48 because of the light from the welding you could see where there was and wasn't gaps because the light went through the gaps of were it hadn't been welded and didn't where it had.
I just really liked seeing it that way instead of the usual where I am only able to see bright flashes of light.

My favorite portable bandsaw table-conversion because of its versatility. With your design I do not have to have a dedicated saw for a table-top bandsaw.

Brilliant, Jimmy! The Europeans have those smaller bandsaws that can "chop" like Laura Kampf has....you basically just took the SWAG setup to a whole new level.
Great design, Jimmy, very practical. The only change I'd make would be putting your name the other way around, so it doesn't end up upside down when you're using it as a chopping saw.

Great job, Jimmy! Love the multifunction nature of it. Gives the portaband a lot more versatility. Might have to make one for my Milwaukee. And while some don't like the hinge, I actually love it's simplicity and the quick change nature of the unit because of it.
Proof of concept done...take this to market! I'd buy one.

I love it. I think the design could use a little refinement, possibly make it from aluminum so it's easier to move around but I would love to dedicate one of my portaband saws to use in that jig/stand

I really like this, such a great way to get more functionality out of a tool.
My only concern is cable management, though I'm not convinced you could do anything about that other than having some sort of ceiling mounted retention device that would make it more trouble than it's worth.

This is absolutely brilliant and definitely something that could be worth patenting. That is to say, this is almost surely going to be mass produced in short order and if not patented, I'm not sure if any of the reputable manufactures will be part of it.

That was what I thought for a long time, as well, but I don't believe that it's true -- at least in the US. My understanding of US patent law from a few years ago is that you have one year (12 months) in which to file a patent after a public showing. It may not be good enough to just get a US patent, though...

Jimmy, I think the camera needs a welding screen (the thing you see through in a welding helmet) when you're welding. The welding is a bit bright, and hey, you could make a few videos with making the whole thing! It's a win-win situation!
