These SP's are not supposed to be used for permanent solar arrays. Many who have tried them that way have said the degraded quickly. I believe they are only to be used in a way that they are not kept out in the elements in a prolonged manner. They also in my opinion need to be used in a way that does not alliw them to bend. So some 3xtra work is needed on your part if you are wanting to keep them in working order for a long time period. JMHO
Great video. I popped for the full Monty Ecoflow delta pro 25.2kw kit with 2 dual fuel smart gens, 6 400w panels, voltage double and the smart home panel.
Thanks to your review, it did make a great impression for me. Not only do I like the 400W charging capability but also the portability and weight of this panels from Ecoflow.
I think its almost perfect but I wish they had multiple kickstands on the back to adjust the angle like some of other solar panels out there instead of trying to make it work with the cover
This is just what is needed for partial rv backup. Operates the ac and stuff perfectly. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y is quieter than my rv generator. Only suggestion is that it needs a fuel shutoff valve. So it is easier to store.
Was really wanting this solar panel OR the 160w. The 160w is MUCH cheaper ($/watt) vs the 400w panel.. but, I've seen videos of the 160w panel doing around 130w. And videos of the 400w panel doing around 320w. I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE BEST ALTERNATIVE IS OUTSIDE OF THE ECOFLOW PANELS. My dilemma with Ecoflow panels is this. If I go with the 160w panel, I'd get around 520w MAX even with 4 panels!. With the 400w panels, I could get around 640w MAX just with 2. While the 160w panels are smaller and more portable, there is a HUGE difference in input and I worry the 160w aren't enough, especially for the Delta Pro. So putting up with bigger, harder to carry and heavier panels may be worth the hassle for solar input.
@@AliHassanUA-camr that depends on your needs. I explained some differences already. If you care about side and portability don't get the 400w they are big and heavy. If you don't have the money don't get the 400w it is expensive. If you don't need a ton of solar don't get the 400w. On the other hand I'd get the biggest best solar panel I could afford. So if you can afford it get the 400w. If you don't care about it being bigger and heavier, get the 400w. if you want to be able to expand eventually to get the most out of it solar panels, get the 400w. The 160w is going to limit the max solar even if you get several. Again I've reviewed a few differences already. It depends on what you want
Hobotech has some suggestions that you might like, including the BougeRV 180/200 glass panels and the Renogy 320 glass panels. Also EcoFlow 220w Bi-facial panel.
It's worth every penny because if you need to use a generator to charge it it saves you multiple days of fuel depending on fuel supply and unit size. U not having to hook up clean n start a gas generator for hours and when you do it's for only 2-3 hours if that
Really enjoyed that professional overview. You got a sub. Im new to the concept of solar charging, looking for a small setup to avail of solar to charge some small domestic devices, phones etc.
I can't believe you tried hooking up that little fantik power station and it didn't start smoking. It didn't look like there was a ton of sun out which was a blessing because the voltage of the panel is 48v.
There are no movies that come with that unit. Not a good deal. Or are we talking about premium ads. I'll take 2 please. Wait what is the conversation really about?? 🤔
Just received this portable array. After a quick and clumsy setup I connected a volt meter around 1pm southern Louisiana the array was producing 374W. I was impressed because I know my angle in relation to the sun was not optimal. I am just curious how long the internal connections will last with the folding/unfolding of the panels.
i just brought a Delta2 and a 400 watt panel I was hoping you would show those connections in a bit more detail. Felt it was too technical. I will watch your video again.
So, what wattage did you achieve? I don't recall you mentioning it, what was the average and peak wattage you got on this panel, please? (Preferably, specs from the sunniest day possible up in your neck of the woods. Thank you!
@@jeffbordner4328 on mine I threw it out flat on the ground around 1345hrs. I’m in line with Seattle Washington latitude (around Frankfurt Germany). I was getting about 310W for a good bit.
Thank you so much for making this video. I'm trying to set mine up and thinking how can one person easily do this? I found your video and it got me on my way. Thanks again!
I have tested a lot of panels, the EcoFlow is just too large and cumbersome I just plug in and lay out two or three 200watt mat panels which in full sun gives me almost 30 amps! Even with three mats they are only half the price of the EcoFlow and easier as they just lay flat on the ground and don’t takeoff like a kite in wind!
I just wonder one thing. I checked what some solar panels cost where I live (Finland, Europe). You can get a 450W solar panel for 70€, these Ecoflow 400W solar panels cost 950€. Why would anyone buy these? Sure the 70€ solar panel isn't exactly mobile it weighs twice as much and is rigid and huge in comparison since it can't be folded. So yea some pretty big disadvantages but for 880€ less I think I'd rather take the 70€ solar panel or maybe 2. That's 900W close to the max input of an Ecoflow Delta 2 Max. Or just buy 13 of them and place them around in different places where you might need them and you'll still save money.
$2.5 per watt, which costs $999. Better off buying 2 x 250w panels for $140-$160 total and drill door hinges between them. 500w portable solar panels that weighs around 60-70 lbs and costs 80% less.
Check the voltage first. If thats too high, it'll damage the power station. If the voltage is within range, it'll just be limited to whatever power the power station can take.
Then static panels are much cheaper per watt. Don't even look at the branded portable things. Static panels generally don't mention brand, just wattage. Not sure about your location, but in the UK I use BimbleSolar for all my panels.
Can I use only one 400 w panel for a delta 2 max generator and a delta 2 max batteries all together to charge with the 400 watts or it won’t charge at all thank you
It depends, if your delta pro is located next to the panels, no you don't need extra cables. If your panels are located a distance away from your delta pro, then yes you will need extra cables depending on the distance. I bought two 30 ft extensions for flexible locations of the panels.
Can you tell me the brand and technical term for the solar extension cords that are 30'? And, what the best thickness for the longer cords is? 10mm, 12mm, 14mm?
am I the only one that has delamination on the folds? is this normal... the grommet holes are also elongating...nobody answers the phone on hold for 5 hours
What is the actual performance of the panel in the sun? Why is there no information? 80 watts would not be enough for me... the price for the panel is a joke
Yes, they are. Just make sure not to get the connecting cable points under the water. Just got these panels from fresh-adventure.com/products/ecoflow-400w-solar-panel as they were on sale
I'm still at a loss as to why the heck Ecoflow still uses this @* system for propping up panels. Just about every reviewer complains about it and it is clear its engineering was half assed at best. I've found that this type of functionality is a constant problem with Ecoflow, where the electronics are solid but limited thought in the fit and finish was put into the product. Examples. Ecoflow River. The poorly placed handle means you can't stack the extra battery. If someone was smart they would have had the ability to remove the handle on the extra battery and allowed the four corners to have a 12" screw that goes all the way down and locks the extra battery in place. And the orientation of where the connector is on the top instead of the side means its a massive pain to align the extra battery with the main. The Delta Pro's....the connector for battery to battery is so damn long on the back it adds another 6-8" to the length. You look at the Delta Pro ultras and someone clearly figured this out as the connectors are now at right angles.
Pretty nice that Ecoflow used MC4 connectors on this solar panel. Which means I can connect and charge almost every other power station.
I have been looking around and you're right that Ecoflow is the only one selling 400W portable solar panels.
It's more worth the price still and it would be better to get the 350w from bluetti even though I prefer Ecoflow.

It does also make the cover dust resistant.

Any lifespan information ? How long could they convert solar energy into electricity ?
I believe that the Delta Pro will have 6500 charge cycles and then it will drop to an 80% capacity.
