The Delta 2 Max units are on the way. We went with a pair of them & four, 400-watt panels. I will have them mounted permanently on a fixture where I can access them. As far as snowy weather and your other concern I can't help you there but thank you for watching the video and I'm glad it helped, thanks for subscribing welcome to the family 😎
These sort of panels are meant for occasional use, mostly camping and power outages, they can't take the wear that an aluminum and glass panel will but are compact and relatively light for their output, also about four times as expensive, they're a niche product for portable silent power, keep that in mind. A small generator is a better investment for charging your Delta Pro. I can't lift my Delta Pro so it's really not a portable system.
My Delta Pro had a board go out (which EcoFlow replaced at no charge) but I was told not to leave the solar panel plugged in when the light was low as this could damage the unit. Very inconvenient to have to monitor the solar wattage and unplug the panel every day!

Nice test - panels look great. would've been good if you did a quick tape measurement in the very beginning so us newbies could see what the length and width are especially since these are such huge units. Thank you so much for illustrating how to connect panels in Series. Am new to solar and I wish I can give you 10 👍! Do you have any illustration using parallel connection of the panels to the solar generator ? When does one decide on using series or parallel? Thanks again!

I use my Delta 2 for our newer 25 cubic feet refrigerator. I imagine that you can charge the panels while powering something like a refrigerator and would probably need more than (2) 400-watt panels to do that.
Hey buddy congrats on your Delta but make sure you stay within the solar spec if you get outside of it you can actually burn the solar controller I don't think that would be covered under warranty
You never want to let the battery get less then 30% for the health of the battery. I have the Ecoflow delta pro and this solar panel. Takes me about 6 hours from 30% to 100% on a cloudless day. Ecoflow do say not to use panel on cloudy day as it can damage the panel.
This is really great info! Thank you for sharing it! I work for an eco-flow distributor and the boss is letting me build a system for my shuttle bus at cost, so I’m trying to figure out which eco-flow panels I can fit onto my bus in order to maximize my solar gain! I’m wondering if you could answer a question for me, since I can’t find the answer elsewhere. I really appreciated the partial shading test you did in your 220W bi-facial video, and I’m wondering if you have done, or would be willing to do the same test with this folding 400W panel? If the faces are connected in parallel and can be shaded like the 220 can, it means that I can stow the panels partially folded for travel, and still expect some real power from them while traveling. Because of your other video, I now know that the bi-facial panels could work for something like this, but the dimensions of these 400W panels work better for the fixed dimensions of my bus, so I really want to know if these panels also put out roughly half power when folded in half. I just subscribed to this channel and would love to see you do that test, if you haven’t already! Thank you!
I truly wish I could do all the tests. My view is would love me to do. I would have to say no for now. I’m sorry but thank you for watching the video and I’m glad it helped in some way. You said you wanted to connect a panel in parallel then I’m assuming you were going to have two or more is that correct?
Does anyone know if this panel comes with the extended cord in black and red he showed in the video, or you need to get it separately from Amazon? I have purchased this panel but it didn’t arrive yet 😊
What would the panels get if not perfectly straight? Simulate more real world usage for camping situations. If I'm going to set them up in the backyard, I'd probably get cheaper solid panels.
@@Utriedit215 River is only about 600W. When I mean camping, I actually refer to travel trailer or RV's that need to have at least 1500 W inverter. The advantage of using delta pro in RV scenario is you can also bring them inside your house as a backup power solution.
I enjoy watching your videos. Help me think about something. Using the pro and the smart home panel I am wanting to see if I can charge it with 4 x 400w = 1600w. The thought process I have is to use series and parallel in order to stay under the 150 v max. Please let me know if you have any videos on this topic and/or if you know of any reason why it would not work. Thanks so much.
Ron thank you so much I haven’t posted any videos on how to combine parallel with series, that’s the way you would accomplish staying under 150v I recommend going on Facebook and looking at the EcoFlow Delta Facebook group there are a bunch of people in there and I’m sure they could help you with that. I’m getting so much better with solar but that’s one answer I don’t have and I must be honest with you
You can just buy longer cables. I can include a link below, but be careful don’t go too far. The cables I’m sending you are 10 awg that’s a good thickness I wouldn’t go past 40 feet amzn.to/3Q1pywH
3:22 Strangely there is mention on resellers pages that its IP68 that should be waterproof to 3m depth or less. IP67 means it can take under 30min in max depth of 1m under water. Who knows..
For battery life what is the best min and max time to charge to set the delta pro to ? I think I seen somewhere somebody saying min 20% max 80% but I'm not sure.
Hi See page 13 of the manual, not sure if this link will work see below for the manual, I personally don’t discharge any more than 10% and I don’t charge more than 90%. You’ll hear a lot of conflicting messages about lithium iron phosphate some might tell you to charge 100% for LFP but I don’t. So the decision is yours. But definitely check the manual so you follow the storage and maintenance on the device or you can avoid the warranty. I hope this information helps you. websiteoss.ecoflow.com/cms/upload/2022/10/12/1312845623_1665543468829.pdf
Sorry for the dumb question but will these be better than a generator? Could I run a regular fridge and a 110 ac unit or 2 and lights in my house. I know nothing about kWh and how to visualize how much it is. Would 2 panels be able to replenish the batteries while fridge and ac units are running?
Trying not to get complicated it really all starts with the power station. You have to understand your power needs first and that's not easy because most of us don't know what an electric dryer uses or toaster or a microwave etc. Once you understand your power needs you buy the correct power station making sure that it is powerful enough to run your appliances and then you have enough battery capacity for run time.
Thank you for a wonderful video. I was with you until you connected the cords from the panels to the power station. It looks like I have 12 volt connector Did you have to buy a different connector cord?
Great review. I really like the solar panels. But they are just way too expensive for 400 watts. I'll just stick with our portable generator to recharge the DP.
Hi all, So....I have a hack that I literally just thought of for people who can't afford another Delta Pro or extra battery BUT need additional power and own another ecoflow battery. I have called ecoflow and given them the idea as well and they confirmed that it will in fact work!! I then asked them why they don't tell everyone after I've told them and they said they would "escalate the idea" to their top tier and perhaps add it to their FAQs. So here's the idea: We've been told that you must have like systems in order to use them together. This is NOT actually true. If your Delta Pro is low on power (or any other ecoflow system you have) you can simply plug its charging cable (in the rear) into the front of the secondary system. In other words you're using the second system as a wall outlet of sorts. This works especially well in the evening when the sun is down and there is no more backup energy. What do you do when the sun is up?...even better...plus the second system from the rear into the front of the Delta Pro. This allows the sun to charge them BOTH regardless of the differences of their capacities or sizes!!! The only word of caution they gave me after saying what a great idea this was, was to say don't forget to lower the charging speed on the Delta Pro once it's plugged into the front of the second system. Guys this means you can use anything from a River and up to charge your Delta Pro OR any other ecoflow system. If this works for you please like my comment and say "Thanks T!!" just so I'll know at least I was able to communicate something helpful to the solar community-especially since these systems are sooooo expensive!!
Thank you for this. Very helpful. I just recently ordered 2 delta pros and the 400 watt panels. It’s on its way, but I’m not sure what else I need to connect the panel to the unit. Does the unit or solar panel come with the cable that connect the 2 or is that separate? What’s it called?
Depending on how far you're going to put your panels from the Delta Pro you might want to buy some longer solar cables here's a link to some quality cables once you open up the link on Amazon take a look at the different sizes amzn.to/3Ft8jiN
Jay you might need 2 delta pros and the double voltage hub, not sure with limited info and this all being new, here is a video we did but you also might want to email Ecoflow on that question, here’s the video we did ua-cam.com/video/WUitxUq9gsM/v-deo.html
Really good review, but if you'd like to save $1200 you can use a cheaper panel with higher wattage and make it compatible for $20. I did a review on it and its saved me a bunch of money.
If you plugged your delta into the mains electric and also had your solar connected, would it charge from both or would one or the other take priority?
Very interesting review. Can somebody please advise:- If you wanted to power a 600w device, would the EcoFlow Delta Pro power this device for 6 hours (3.6kWh or 3600w / 600w = 6)? Never understood energy flow but this seems easy enough so just wanted to check. Thank you.
Sorry buddy, but I completely disagree. Campbell's Savory Pot Roast soup can has a much higher degree of accuracy. LOL.... Good vid. Keep up the Great work.
My question is if I can put the panels also in parallel,i have 3 goal zero ranger panels and i want them connecting parallel, because when one panel get shaded, then i still have the 2 other panels that deliver good power, while my experiences with panels in series, the voltage drops so much that the whole array deliver way less power in total.
@@TechMadeEzy Yes, i know I have a goal zero 3000X and i can set them parallel and delivering 600watts. As voltage and amps are related to watts i calculate that goal zero can handle around 35 amps by around 18 volts. But I'd also able to handle a high voltage. So I was curious if I can do the same with the ecoflow delta Pro. So, my main question is, how much amps can the ecoflow handle by around 15 till around 22 volts .
@@TechMadeEzy i called the retail store that sold the panel and delta pro to me and they told me that Echoflow no longer includes the XT60 cord with the panels or the delta pro which they was not aware of so since they told me that the XT60 cable was included with the system they gave the XT60 to me free.
@@TechMadeEzy thats the same thing I thought. $3,500 and they can't even include the cable! So sad. What is more sad is I tried to connect the cable from the panels to the delta pro and the prongs on the delta pro wasn't even secured to the back of the delta pro so when I tried to push the cable on to the prongs it would just push into the delta pro. It was just floating within the back of the delta pro back plate. Basically the cable is not able to connect to the delta pro making the solar panels useless. I took it back to the place I bought it and they said they will try to fix it. Unbelievable! Brand new and broken already.
@@oneloveyessah Hello.. on your post concerning the Delta pro cable you mentioned, "Basically the cable is not able to connect to the delta pro making the solar panels useless." Well I just purchased a DP and I am wondering was this a problem DP's have in general? Also, may i ask, were you able to get any cables to work, and if so could please what did work for you?
Hey buddy your best bet is really making sure that you use similar panels you'll get better results versus mixing different types of panels. Also you want to make sure that you stay within the specs because too much voltage or too much amperage depending on how you set up the panel can damage the power station. Sorry no easy way to say that but I didn't want you to make that mistake
Nice video, but you completely omitted any info on the cable that connects the panel to the battery. Did it come with the solar panel from EcoFlow? Or did it come with the batter? Or did you buy it separately?
Ecoflow initially didn't include the solar cable with the panel, as of recently they now do. Also i use additional 10 Guage cable to put the solar panel out further usually 40 foot cable.
Hi @@TechMadeEzy. I just received my panels and unit in yesterday. Can you please point me in the direction of where you bought your 40 foot extension cable?
Very nice and clear video. Thanks for sharing, quite appreciated. I bought the exact same setup as yours. Delta Pro + Solar panel 400 W. I am wondering if you could give me a clue or two to make it work properly. I am reading 44V from the 400W solar panel temporarily installed in my solarium. I am just puzzled to see that the Delta Pro is still showing 000W input. Your advice might be welcomed.
That’s a part of your problem I would order the cables you need the xt60i cable it will help amzn.to/3J3hMhO That’s the cable that really will make a difference. It has an extra connector.
Can you test how the 400 watt solar panel Wattage gets effected if there is only 3 sides to the sun, and 1 bendt behinde the 3. one. And the same for 2 sides with to bent back, and also 1 and 3 bendt? And can you bend the solar panel all the ways, like you take it out and unfold it but how far can you bend it the other way?
I bought two of the 400w Ecoflow panels with the Delta Pro - and gave them away. They were horrible to work with...I notice this reviewer didn't show the actual setup - that's because they are beyond awkward and heavy. As a woman with no assistance, I couldn't get them to set up correctly. Without a strong support (I had to use a wall) - they simply fell over. The cardboard case that is supposed to support them is a joke. You should NOT have to personally BUILD a framework for these panels when they are charging $1150 for them. This gentleman had some skills to wrestle them into place. The thing is - he shouldn't have had to.

I found using an collapsible fiberglass tent pole and two small zip ties was the easiest thing to do in the field.

Would be awesome if a tracking system was available for panels on a home 🏡 to track the 🌞 ☀️...
They’re were suppose to launch the solar tracker.
Amazing video 👍😎
It would have been nice to know how long it took to charge the battery from zero.
Did you ever find out how long it takes?
Reportedly on the Ecoflow* Web Site, it takes 1.8 Hours to fully charge up the Ecoflow* 'Delta Pro' Solar Generator back up from Absolute Zero.
@@bakersupreme2010 I think they asked how long to fully charge with these solar panels. I it's arround 12 to 20 hours with one 400w panel.
You never want to let the battery get less then 30% for the health of the battery. I have the Ecoflow delta pro and this solar panel. Takes me about 6 hours from 30% to 100% on a cloudless day. Ecoflow do say not to use panel on cloudy day as it can damage the panel.
@bakersupreme2010 Yeah, that's with all the available inputs, solar and plugged into the wall at 1800 charging.
Hi
Longer solar cable is not included, links are in our video description
Thank you for the awesome review!

Great video as always

@@TechMadeEzy I have another comment I left below. What do you think?
What would the panels get if not perfectly straight? Simulate more real world usage for camping situations. If I'm going to set them up in the backyard, I'd probably get cheaper solid panels.
Ecoflow Pro is really not for camping and you should get some of the smaller like maybe a river
I’m getting so much better with solar but that’s one answer I don’t have and I must be honest with you
I read that the poly is better than the mono for cloudy areas.
Interesting ok thanks
How long are the cords to connect the Ecoflow at a distance? Do they make extension cables.
You can just buy longer cables. I can include a link below, but be careful don’t go too far. The cables I’m sending you are 10 awg that’s a good thickness I wouldn’t go past 40 feet
amzn.to/3Q1pywH

Hi sorry it's not made for that, rigid panels are.

really nice looking panels packaging.
panel costs as much as a pecron 1500wh power station! oof
Definitely when you get up to that type of wattage they are so expensive
Great Video, Your voice could double to Howard Stern

Does the cooler of Delta Pro stay ON all the time when panel starts?
You mean the fan I guess, no it only turns on when needed but if you are powering a large load it definitely will.

Great review. I really like the solar panels. But they are just way too expensive for 400 watts. I'll just stick with our portable generator to recharge the DP.
What generator do you use to recharge the delta?
What generator do you use to charge the Delta Pro?
Predator 9000/7250 Watts generator. We can run our entire house, including Central AC, while charging the DP at the same time.

Why do I keep thinking ..I’m listening to Howard Stern 😉👍
You are 😊
Hi all,
So....I have a hack that I literally just thought of for people who can't afford another Delta Pro or extra battery BUT need additional power and own another ecoflow battery.

Really good review, but if you'd like to save $1200 you can use a cheaper panel with higher wattage and make it compatible for $20. I did a review on it and its saved me a bunch of money.
What panel??
If you plugged your delta into the mains electric and also had your solar connected, would it charge from both or would one or the other take priority?
The pro has the ability to charge AC and solar at the same time
should do a square frame would keep it more straight would get even more out of it
Can you use the Ecoflow Pro while the solar panel charges the unit?
Yes
Great video . Great information and you explained everything perfectly 💯💪💪
Appreciate it!
Very interesting review. Can somebody please advise:- If you wanted to power a 600w device, would the EcoFlow Delta Pro power this device for 6 hours (3.6kWh or 3600w / 600w = 6)? Never understood energy flow but this seems easy enough so just wanted to check. Thank you.
Hi Alan it will be a little under 6 hours because the delta pro has an AC inverter that will draw some power as well .
Thank you.
what's that rotating solar mount you show at 50 seconds?
Never was put up for sale, made by EcoFlow to automatically adjust to the suns angle.
@@TechMadeEzy that's too bad. Seemed pretty slick for portable panels
The panel is huge. How much bigger is it than 200w solar panels? Does EcoFlow do holiday sales?
220w they make is smaller
Forgive my ignorance, but I thought using two panels in parallel will keep the voltage the same(48volts)?
Yes, Series keeps amps the same
parallel keeps the Volts the same
Great video! Thanks for mansplaining things.
Thanks
Are the sole panel weather resistant?
Yes IP67 but long term if you're going to leave a panel outside you better off with a rigid panel
Sorry buddy, but I completely disagree. Campbell's Savory Pot Roast soup can has a much higher degree of accuracy.
LOL.... Good vid. Keep up the Great work.
Love it!! 👍🏻🌟
Yes but know your amperage so you don't damage your equipment
@@TechMadeEzy
Yes, i know
I have a goal zero 3000X and i can set them parallel and delivering 600watts.
My unit didn't come with the long cable that connects to the panels then to the Delta pro. Where did you get that rolled up long cable?
Long solar cables aren't included, just the xt60 to solar cable. Longer cable links are in the description if that's what you need.
@@TechMadeEzy i called the retail store that sold the panel and delta pro to me and they told me that Echoflow no longer includes the XT60 cord with the panels or the delta pro which they was not aware of so since they told me that the XT60 cable was included with the system they gave the XT60 to me free.
Wow I went to the EcoFlow website and they removed the solar cable. That’s shocking, thousands of dollars and they remove the solar cable. That stinks
@@oneloveyessah Hello.. on your post concerning the Delta pro cable you mentioned, "Basically the cable is not able to connect to the delta pro making the solar panels useless." 1st thank you!
And Yes, we posted that actual video on our Instagram and Facebook and a picture of it in our youtube channel
Can I add two 110 watts to a 400watt in series?

- Starting from where there is not mc4 cable but the natural way just opposite way
Hi I wish I could do tests for everyone but I cannot. If you block one of the panels the wattage will most likely go to 0 from my experience.
