Wow this video popped up and I am so impressed with this guy. He is so articulate and smart. He seems confident but not one bit of arrogance. He is considerate like he wasn’t offended By the fact that some people will come and just want to know what the diet is and then they’re gonna leave in the middle of the video. What an awesome young man

Thank you for sharing this! I am a pescatarian, butdecided to eat raw for 6 weeks to see how I felt. Green smoothie, water, coffee, fresh fruit, salad for lunch and dinner. Lost 7 pounds in 5 weeks and yes having to answer all of the same questions. Unsure why people seem to be annoyed by MY choice of diet. I can not ignore the fact that I do feel better. I could stand to lose 10 pounds, but I am more concerned for now about getting my blood glucose under control. Going for a recheck in late Feb and am hoping for better numbers. With my changes I have dropped 5 pounds. No snacking, intermittent fasting (16:8), fewer carbs. I still enjoy infrequent indulgences, ones gotta live.......😋

I’m still doing 18:6 IF and I am at my ideal weight. I never had a ton of weight to lose but I am at my best in 20 years and my doctor actually asked me not to lose any more. I am at a point where I am not so strict with my carbs but I still weight myself daily. Regular exercise during the week. No snacking whatsoever, either. Very good and motivating! I have the same philosophy regarding the eating. I describe my way of eating to people as mostly plant based. I really like how you discuss the mind games that we tend play with ourselves. I lost 20 lbs in 4 months but did not start out eating plant based. I switched over when I became “stuck” around the 10 lb mark and felt like giving up. I was always hungry and felt deprived. Like you, I do have occasional animal products as well especially when I’m invited to someone’s for dinner I don’t want to be “that difficult guest”. With this way of eating I’m never feeling hungry and I’ve kept it off since September. Bonus is that I feel wonderful. Many annoying and/or painful symptoms have gone away. No more brain fog! Keep your tips and recipes coming!

Tip: when I make the sesame ginger hummus, I blend everything except chickpeas to get it totally smooth, then add the beans last. This lets me not grate my ginger while avoiding chunks! Or if I’m exceptionally lazy, I’ll just use dried ginger :)

I’ve lost 30 pounds in three months and I did it primarily by changing my diet. I just am careful now what I eat I stopped eating so much garbage. I stop drinking soda I used to drink a lot of soda. Now I drink zero soda, I don’t eat sweets anymore. A very little bread and pasta where I eat used to eat a lot of both. I quit eating fast food, are used to eat a lot of fast food especially hamburgers. It’s been three months since I’ve ate a hamburger I’ve been to weird days a couple times but each time I got a salad and a grilled chicken sandwich, and nothing to drink. Now I use sugar-free powdered drink flavoring that I use in water. That’s what I drink now in place of soda. I eat a lot of fresh fruit now which I did not used to do, I try to pay attention to calories, and use a program to monitor them

This guy’s aversion to the meat of animals as well as well as dairy, isn’t sound. So long as good husbandry is used- wild caught fish, grass fed and finished land animals -- it’s an excellent source of nutrition.

What a great video! Everything you're saying is common sense, but a lot of us need a little reminder. I've lost almost 30 pounds in the past couple years. It took me a long time because I was battling an eating disorder. I'm happy to say that I have a very healthy relationship with food now. However, I'm struggling to lose the last 5-7 pounds and I still have so much fat around my midsection, which of course is not healthy. I will give this diet a try and see what happens. Anyway, thanks for sharing, you are an absolute delight. And the finished meal prep containers are so satisfying to look at! It appeals to my organized nature : )

I don’t know how I landed here but I love your video (commenting halfway through it). I can listen to you all day. I have the feeling like I found someone on my wavelength! I recently changed to a whole food plant based diet and lost 30lbs and I went through the same thought process and the same reaction from ppl. I’m fortunate that my hubby joined me in the process and I have a buddy along the way ♥️but totally love your thoughts

I have watched this a few times for inspiration this week. I read that book a few years ago, but didn't do anything after reading it. I wish you were my neighbor. You seem so kind, gentle, caring. I appreciate your honesty in how you started, what you did to keep motivated and create new recipes, COVID and going a little backwards, BUT MOVING FORWARD, with lots of new information and knowledge. My big cutting bowl and cutter will be here today!🙂I really found that to be an awesome tip. The SALAD DRESSING information will be my BIGGEST help. I am starting March 26 to June 8 due to work/covid changes. Committed and will assess from there. The universe sent me a gift 😊❤️😇 when I found your channel. blessings and thank you for being you!!!

Hi. I'm new at your channel. I'm glad to see a male advocate of the nutritarian plan which I'm leaning toward but still have some reservations. I'm glad to see you added protein powder to your smoothie; the protein is needed.
As to cost: I've been spending way too much on binge foods and restaurant take-out, so I'm not too worried about the cost of healthy food. Thanks for your efforts.
Over all, a great vid. As Arnold once said, "I'll be back."

This has to be the most honest, informative video that I've ever seen on the WFPB woe (way of eating). I totally agree with all you said about how people react to what and how you're eating. I've been eating this way for almost 4 years and it just comes naturally now. People want a quick fix with no work on their part. You my friend are amazing!!

I have been doing nutritarian diet for over 7 years….and had fab results….this past year it’s been hard
I have put on about an extra 10 lbs because I got so Burnt out on shopping, meal prep and cooking. I am hoping you will get me motivated again. Like you the sweet thing is enticing me in again, but nothing like I used to be. I have done so well….menopause didn’t help….but I can do it again….it is a mindset, and food in moderation. Cheers love your channel.

As soon as you said “a lot of mushrooms on this eating program” I immediately hoped it was Nutritarian! It’s so nutrient dense. It’s definitely one of my favorite plant based eating programs.

I recommend using Minute Maid frozen lemon juice instead of the bottled Real Lemon juice. You will be amazed at the difference in taste! It stays fresh in your refrigerator (after thawing) for about two weeks , but it never lasts that long in our house. We keep it in the fridge at all times - it comes in a squeeze bottle for a quick squirt into a glass of water. It’s the next best thing to fresh lemon! Most supermarkets carry it in the frozen juice section. Give it a try! 😀

Mushrooms! I JUST tried oyster mushrooms. I’m addicted. Sauté with pepper and a cap full of soy sauce (high end, it’s worth the splurge). Super filling. I’m eating pretty well to what you are doing, whole food plant based, but I add a little meat protein. I’m on week four and the results are remarkable. I was not fat, I just needed to not carry extra useless weight. Currently down two sizes. I feel mentally clear, energy through the roof and emotionally ‘fresh’! Welcome Spring! 🌸 I really enjoy your patter and common sense approach.
