- Nothing relaxes the soul more than a journey to the North Maine Woods for some epic native brook trout fishing. Day 1 of our annual fly fishing adventure was a great start to the trip. We met some terrific people on the way in, got camp setup and had a good first evening on the water. While not large, the brook trout were plentiful and biting! Enjoy!

We are always the last ones off the water on our annual trip, I love hearing all the sounds on the lake as darkness falls and the chance of catching that last fish of the day.
A nice dram of scotch or whiskey after a day on the water and a fire makes the the whole day that much more complete. LOL

Looks like you guys had a great time. Always fun to get out and catch some brookies. I just got back from a few days up to camp. I was targeting arctic char my first day I caught 29 of them hahaha. The next couple days I went around and caught a ton of brookies, had a blast. Tried getting into some salmon but I couldn't get into any. Had a blast tho catching all those char what a fish.

@MaineOutdoorEnthusiast Nope only 14 bodies of water in Maine with Char and only state other than Alaska. Pretty elusive fish. Hope all is well with the family. Glad you and your dad enjoyed your trip hope to see some more fishing videos!
You’re right. Last state in the lower 48. We’ve been fishing a lot the past couple weeks. We’ve had some pretty good trips!
