Hey Gunther! I’ve been watching your videos for years! I’m still rocking my curls for now, but I think I might lock it up sometime. Thanks to your videos I’ll know how to maintain it myself!
Gunther your dreads look great and healthy your hair really came a long way it’s all about patience and trusting the process it might not look how u want it in the beginning but it’s gonna eventually turn out to look good in the end process
3 years with my dreads and I’m definitely jealous because your 2 year length looks like my 3! Looking good! My dreads are about the same size as yours and initially I felt like they were too skinny, but I love them now!
5 months now and looks so much better than my first 3 months. The process has been frustrating at moments, but now I’m seeing the results of my patience.
your locs are so sick broooooo u inspire me to grow out my undercut 😭 ima grow it out and probably install some extensions then cut everything to be even once the extensions grow out
Can't believe it's already been two years it feels like it was yesterday when I watched you start your comb coils and then I started my journey my two years is in two months but the progress has been immaculate
I’ve had my dreads for about a year now and it’s going good I get my last retwist of the year of 2022 and I’m getting 2 strand twist and my New Year’s resolution for my hair is to take good care of my dreads and never let anyone talk or force me to take out my dreads
I just recently cut my locks off it was stressing me out cause I couldn’t maintain it as often as I wanted to I cut it off and had instant regret I’m currently growing my hair back out so I can start my lock journey again moral of the story don’t get discouraged locks are a imperfect but beautiful style those imperfections is what makes your locks unique and custom to you. It’s a natural look it’s gonna look rough at times but just stick with it and you’ll be more than satisfied in the long run.
Used all your advice on combing out lock I’m on day 2 with 10 dreads left I had them for 4 years wanted a cleaner look for the new year love the vid still in the dread gane just taking a temporary leave happy new years😂💪🏾
I love this content! Thanks for sharing your process, I have 4 years with dreadlocks and it's amazing that yours grew faster. Now I'm thinking of cutting some bigger ones and putting them on other areas of my head which could be a great combination. Yours looks great!
Been growing my undercut for 4 years starter growing the undercut last week by the 2 year mark of my undercut I'll be officially starting my loc journey
Maaan I've had these girls for about 12 years in January, sometimes i can barely remember but i always remember the first time i got them done. Back then though no one was on hair care but luckily i grew up in the shop so hair came natural to take care of. Beauty shop to be exact. Its for sure a journey, depending on hair type, head size, i was literally never able to make a bun for almost 7-8 years but if you see my bun its huge. Hair works in crazy ways and people will never have the same results so just love yourself and your hair. Its your own pattern own head they will look how they are suppose to turn out. My braids eat all my hair away and its back to my shoulders, when they drop its past my back so like i said its all a journey. Some people retain length some don't 🤷🏾♂️. Keep going!!! 💯💪🏾🤘🏾Yee
U could do a vid on the comparison between the process u used from your very first set of locs and your free forms now ( like your 1st set before you moved, that far back lol)
I cut my dreads of 7 years off on Saturday and now I’m really regretting it and just ready to grow my hair back out my first set was high top locs I wanna get a full head the second time around
I’ve been growing my hair for 6 years and recently cut it to get waves honestly if you want to cut your hair gunter you should you’ll feel like a new person
07 months now. It has not been easy and I feel clueless because I moved to another country (Japan) right afterwards; and, finding products or even someone to do your hair - because I don't know how to do it myself - was a massive challenge.
Just curious on what you were saying BUT i did see that they have a retwister out in Japan if you haven't found one. Look up Locticianista Tokyo, also if not her im sure you can look around and find some old school people that might know. Japan has some history with dreadlock as well. Granted these are the Samurai days I'm talking about BUUT its still worth a shot. Even though its not commonly practiced I think you can find someone that does tradition Japanese twists as well. 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
I've had my locks for 18 months now🥰. Am loving them more everyday. This journey has made me more patient with my hair and other areas of my life
Switched from Nipsey braids to 2-strand twists so I can access my scalp during intermediate washes. Better look & cleaner scalp. 1yr down #4c
18 months for me as well. Almost 19 actually.
