I appreciate it fr man!!
This is literally the EXACT video I been looking for the only difference between me and you is that I got my spikes thru 2 strand twist (you used a sponge) Preciate the vid 💯
thanks for the video! i found it reassuring. i washed my hair today and almost all my dreads came undone which bummed me out but i see i need patience. my hair’s like 4A/4B too so i’ll be trying this out in the meantime 🙏🏽 thanks again and good luck x
It’s nice what ur trying to do but not everybody believes in Jesus and a lot of u Christians love to force ur belief onto others atleast make sure others believe in him before u js do that bc its rude to tell others Jesus loves them when u don’t kno their beliefs and they didn’t try to force u into theirs.
@@uaintslikkk1567 All he said was Jesus loves you which is 100% true. He isn’t forcing anything on anybody. Jesus loves everyone, even those who don’t believe in him. God bless.
You don't need to twist with the sponge prior, but you do need to at least section off and twist the part you're gonna lock. I recommend using the sponge first though because it creates the sections for you
3 years loc'd and I still got my hair line. My locs go all the way to the front, so I only line up my taper to keep them from thinning. I don't like the front taper look because it requires a lot of up keep to keep it looking good and it's easy to walk your locs back if you or your barber isn't careful
@@locstyletv3738I did my Freeform’s da same way yu did urs I gave myself a taper hairline because if your hairline isn’t maintained it won’t matter you have Freeform’s you can blend it in, but when you hairline is maintained it adds da sauce. Imo
I believe it will make a difference what size you use. If you have bigger crochet size, it would disturb more hair strands which is not good if you already have locs that are locked up enough and you want to maintain it. It's more effective if you were to use smaller size crochet.
I'm white and I have what people call a top only, not a full head. I did this in the mirror. Shit took me 5-6 hours. Arms was like jello, had poke holes in my fingers from the 0.5 hook. Gawd it sucked but it looks good though. Takes time that's all. Yours looks good as is though.... no homo.
Damn I bet that was a lot of work, glad it was worth it in the end.. I've always wondered how long it would take to crochet a set of dreads from straight hair

Thx bc I’m getting a needle today and I was planning on doing it fast
@@Isthatdisciple😂
I feel like this is true because I saw other videos going fast so I tried that & it felt like I was ripping my hair. 😢

For this do I need my hair twisted with a sponge prior or can I just straight crochet hook?

Does it matter if I have two needle
Not really.. I think one needle is just easier
THANK U BRAH
is it ok to wash the crochet locs? will it make them come loose or nah? plz respond bro bro
lol don’t do it, ripped all my hair out
You just gotta be careful with your locs lol
@@dashboy4l because you over wet them making them dry when washing them in water for to long.
@@moneygamo9720i know its been a year n all but how does that work😭 how does washing your hair for an extended period of time make it dry
The only criticism I have is that you should’ve started them like 3 centimeters back so that you don’t mess up your hairline

Did you do this on wet or dry hair?
Dry
Does it matter what crochet needle you use ?
I don't think it's a big deal.. I use a .5mm one

I back combed it. Separated it and started crocheting like grandma on the front porch 😆
