Passed my test yesterday with 4 minors. I have been watching all your videos since I started taking lessons. Thank you for making this video for new drivers like me, very helpful tips. Your channel content really caters to different stages of being a driver. There is always something new to learn. A million thanks!
I did my driving licence in EU. For the last week I have learnt to drive in the UK. I find your videos very useful. They are very well edited, clear and high quality footage, great commentary, lots of different topics. 9/10
Same here! When I’m driving somewhere and had a good day in full of confidence but not if it wasn’t a good day of driving my confidence gets knocked and I doubt my driving ☹️
Ohh thank you. I passed in October. Could have done with this earlier. Accidentally swiped a car as I could not tell how much turn I had put on. Now learning to straighten my wheels every time I park. Also never driver under immense stress or pressure.
Passed my test today for the first time! Thank you so much for your videos!! Whoever is still awaiting to pass their test, don't give up! You can do it!!!
Thanks you for this ADS. I haven't done my test YET. But this was a good insight to "life as a qualified driver". I was watching this with my mum (a driver of 20+ years) and there were certain things that she fount interesting. And after seeing tip 10 (reversing/parking) she turned round and said "I think I could do reverse parking now (she absolutely HATES reversing) 😁. So a BIG thank you again ADS. You rock
Very good video with a few tips, thank you! What I would add is: Tip 9: if you park in a parallel manner between cars (provided you can), bringing your steering wheel straight will help you back out. Remember, as you back out, the car's nose will swipe - opposite where you turn your wheel. It is safe to assume you are free to start turning the wheel once your front wipers left the back of the vehicle your nose will swipe against. This way, you won't scrape the body, as you will be far away enough. Tip 10: never rely on a reverse camera. Always be looking where you are going - when backing out, keep looking backwards. You are far more likely to see something the camera may not have an angle on. Of course, mirrors and the camera can and will help positioning yourself, but relying on them alone is ill-advised and is dangerous, even from experienced drivers.
Best driving tutorial videos ever. Never driven in the UK so this videos have really helped me start getting ready for the road. Thanks and great job 👏
Thanks so much for this video. I passed my test three weeks ago and got first my car two days ago. So far I’ve been too scared to drive it. This video has really helped me feel a bit calmer!
I have been driving cars since 2008 in India. Never knew about color coding of dashboard and direction of fuel pump valve. However, I even got to drive in UK for three weeks back in 2014 when I was on a project. Thank you for the video, real informative.
Very very nice video and very much useful. Please also guide us like how to open this petrol tank cap, car bonnet. How to check engine oil nd break oil? Guide us about all icons which is showing on dashboard. Also guide for fitting the jack incase tyre puncher. I love to watch your all videos. Thank you so much
I passed my test on my first attempt this morning with just 2 minors. I cannot believe it!😭❤️ I’m quite nervous about driving on my own now so videos like this really help me.
@@AdvanceDrivingSchool It's great you do videos on after the test too as it's just as important when you are in the car on your own to be safe. I really thought I'd failed when I hit the curb so maybe a video on how you can pass when you think you've failed and vice versa may be useful to some. Also therapy techniques and taking the pressure off yourself - you don't need to be perfect, just safe.
We just leave the temperature set to whatever is comfortable, just use the A/C and direct the air to the windscreen. That is usually enough to keep the windows clear 👍🏼
Great video, thanks! 😁 I just passed my test last month and have a 2015 Nissan Leaf as my first car... I noticed you have one as a learner vehicle, I think it would be super helpful if you did a similar video but based on EV’s e.g. having an EV for your first car tips. Thanks advance! Keep the videos coming 🚗
Well done for passing - and what a nice first car! If you haven't already seen, we made these two videos about EVs: How to drive an electric car: ua-cam.com/video/onFvh8MiupI/v-deo.html Living with an electric car: ua-cam.com/video/8md5tHyc-aQ/v-deo.html
Great video like always! Could you please also make a video on how to safely cross the road to enter the gas station (or whatever place) on the right and on the left side while driving. It would be really helpful, Thank you very much!
Black is definitely the right color for diesel. I never understood how people put the wrong fuel in their cars. And it’s clearly written. And often time the diesel and petrol nozzle are different sizes. So how do some people wreck their engines by adding the wrong fuel ? How do they even manage to do that since the nozzles are different sizes ? Anyways, nice useful tips. Those tips are useful even for people who have been driving for a long time as not everyone are car people and many people don’t know about the technical/ mechanical details of cars. Knowing how to drive is not the only thing you should know. Still tho, even if you are not a car expert, adding the right fuel to your car is simple.
Hi, thanks 🙏 for ur videos. Good job. Have a question regarding the dashcam. Your videos are crisp and clear even the night pics. Could you share which dashcam u r using if u don't mind. I want to get one for my car both front and rear. You mentioned GoPro but how you use it as a dashcam. Keep your good work. Thanks
We mount the GoPro on the outside of the car when we are filming to give the best picture. However the battery only lasts for one hour so use normal dash cams for our regular driving.
@@AdvanceDrivingSchool thanks for your reply. Can you pls share which dash cam you are using for regular driving. I see some videos recorded from inside the car ( front & rear)
Everything you see on this channel is filmed with a GoPro. We use up to 6 at the same time to cover all the angles! For other driving we both use these: Pormido PR996/8 12” mirror dash cam ua-cam.com/video/547ZPCYJuak/v-deo.html 👍🏼
It says on the inside of most fuel flaps whether a car is petrol or diesel. Also diesel pumps generally don't fit into petrol cars but do the other way

Is it ok to turn the wheel when stationery? I heard tou shoulden do it because it leaves bald patches on your tyres
We call that 'dry steering', and it's fine to do if you're in a tight spot.
