Simple but it has enough texture and color differences to keep your interest. I can't wait to see it a little grown in with shrimp work force. My opinion is red cherry shrimp would be super cool.

Moss is more of a descriptive term than anything else, there are what most would consider true moss like weeping moss, flame moss and what not but neither riccardia or riccia are true moss species. I really like the idea of this tank and I will probably do something similar in the future as well. Also thank you for the fertilizers and bacteria starters, I got them today and have already put them to use.

Awesome news to hear on the package! I really would like to do a large tank in all moss. Like a tall tank as I could actually create a decent hardscape. But alas, this is a start!
Interesting to hear that Ricardia “moss” isn’t a moss. I’ll look into it like the fluitans.

clicked on the video because of the title, but after seeing the hardscape layout, kinda wish you would have used less moss and just wedged it in the gaps between to stone to keep the hardscape more visible. either way i understand the purpose of the tank was propagation so i guess ultimately aesthetics are irrelevant

It would be nice to see more of the stone for sure. Maybe I’ll do an actual aquascape with wood and rocks using only moss once this small cube aquarium is overgrown. 🤘🤘
