Just upload as 1440p60 or 4k30. 4k60 takes too much resources, and most 4k tv's still have a 30hz refresh rate anyway.

I was pleasantly surprised by this game, it really is quite an enjoyable experience. I played the original knack because it's what came with my PS4, and my young nephew loved it, I never enjoyed it much though. This one however, I enjoyed just as much as my nephew did and we've had a lot of fun playing it.
I'll take knack 2 over Destiny 2

There's a video titled "History of gaming" by videogamedunkey in which he ironically praises the game, alongside the song "here comes the money" playing in the background.
I'm playing though Knack 1 at the moment and I'm enjoying it. It's pretty straight forward/simplistic, but there is a charm there. I also think its interesting from a tech point of view (frame rates aside) due to it's nice shader implementation.

I'm aware. I've tried it already, combat and movement felt way better than the 1st one but it was only about 10 minutes long so it's a bit harder to judge because of that.

Wait I don't get it. Does it checkerboard to 1800p and upscale to your tv size or resolution is 1800p and upscale to your tv size using checkerboard ?
CB doesn't upscale anything. The resolution is 1800p which is obtained using CB rendering (still not upscaling) and then the PS4 will either output the game to your tv at 1800p or upscale the image to 4K.

Nice and solid release on PS4 and Pro but still I couldn't care a less about Knack.

I think there definitely would've been a much greater level of anticipation for a sequel.
The first one didn't look appealing at all. I'm still in no hurry to pick this one up. But, it looks good enough that I might be tempted to give it a go when the price drops.

Those 'crashes' you're referring to are a lot more common when you own the PS4 Pro.
I get them heaps on Tomb Raider, and less on Last of Us but they're still there.
I thought the first Knack was alright I didn't think it was as bad as it made out. I did finish the first one but in lots of small chunks as it's a bit tedious. I enjoyed the demo of 2.

Usually I prefer capped framerates, but with Knack 2 on PS4 amateur I prefer the way better controller response with the framerate uncapped.

And while Knack is nice and good, PS4 Pro remains a big disappointment.
First they say 4K, then then say checkerboard 4K. And now they can't render 2160p checker even in their games. We might just see old school 1080p as maximum on Pro with such rates.
So I think that classy 4K PR on the Pro launch was the worst PR move in the history of PR. Maybe ever

But there is no DYNAMIC RESOLUTION option? Wouldn't that be ideal such as keeping the HUD at 4K, but dynamically adjusting the resolution between 1800p and below to keep a locked 60FPS experience on the PS4 PRO and 30FPS on the PS4?

I like that console games finally are getting graphics options, 60FPS is the bare minimum for gaming in 2017 anything less is unacceptable, the only thing that could be better is if the PS4 supported over 60Hz but that is asking alot, especially for the hardware

There's one graphics mode they're missing. 4K 60fps.
4K 60 is the ideal performance that every game should hit on current Mid-Gen consoles and everything from here on. Consoles need to get ready for expanded horizons. HDMI 2.1 supports both 120fps and 8K, including the combination of both, 8K 120fps, which I consider to be the "Ultimate" display performance mode.

I can hit 8K 90fps in some games like Portal with a GPU that's roughly equivalent to Xbox X. Some AAA games from just 5 years ago run 8K 60fps, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare runs 8K 30fps with settings on Low (going from "high" to "low" really doesn't change the look of the game that much).
I guarantee you that Minecraft could run 8K 60fps on Xbox X, as soon as 8K displays hit the market games will be ready for them. Next-gen consoles with around 20Tflops on the GPU will easily be able to do 8K 120fps in racing games (the 6Tflop 980Ti can also run Assetto Corsa in 5K 120fps right now. From there you only need 2.25x more power to hit 8K).

How is the HDR implementation? You repeated the jokes against Knack 1 over and over, were a bit redundant on other points. Good video otherwise.

I will get it on discounted price, when it will hit 5 euros or so... I mean, i played and finished the first one, but it felt like hella of a grinding just to complete the game. From all the reviews i read Knack 2 seems to be less repetitive and offers more variation, so hopefully when i will get a chance to play this, it won't take me 9 months to complete the story.

No, it is not 1800p. It is 1800cp (1800p checkerboard which is worse than real 1800p). It could not handle it native 1800p and your expecting the game to run 2160p ?
