About Jeremiah Craig
I love telling stories with my music and folk ballads are my passion. This is why I call myself a Balladeer. I’ve included many story elements in my songs since the beginning of my songwriting career in the Rochester, NY area. Then I continued my journey in Phoenix, Seattle, and currently in Boston. In 2004 I made my musical debut with the band Bluegrass Tuesday. In 2006 I formed an original rock/jazz jam band, Jack Swift, who in 2009, went on the “You Don’t Know Jack Tour Spectacular” across five states. So people ask me, "Are you a cowboy because you wear cowboy boots everyday?" So I ask them, "Are you a basketball player because you wear Jordan's?" I wear boots because they are handcrafted in the United States in my hometown of El Paso, Texas.

I got my first pair of Justin boots for work 2 weeks ago and I love them. Got my second pair just yesterday.
@@TURTLE19811 I used to have a pair of Justin steel toe work boots a couple of years back and they were comfortable. The only problem was that I never took care of them. I never cleaned them with saddle soap or applied any leather conditioner or waxes. They would have lasted longer if I would have. Also, I never paid attention to the heel cap and they wore off and made my feet go lopsided along with the boots until I couldn't wear them anymore because they would hurt my feet and my back.
Another boot guy here. I wear them practically every day, year round. Thankfully I'm fortunate not to have to wear the same pair every day and am able to rotate them. Have way too many, but have many different brands, toe and heels shapes, and leathers/skins. Even if you live in an area where not many guys wear cowboy boots, after wearing them often enough, it builds confidence and those who see you frequently don't even comment about it anymore. It's almost now to be expected that I'll be wearing boots.
Totally! I know exactly what you mean. I'm that guy in my group of friends too. I rotate pairs now as well and it's really helped.

Ariat are built to be worn daily. I love the sole design. Has cushion inserts. Mine are steel toe. I wear them at work and Wal-Mart and everywhere

I have Ariat Roper Round Toes and I wear them every single day. Also my job is very “un-cowboy” like. I’m a vehicle detailer and I was sick of getting wet socks wearing sneakers. Been the best thing I have ever done! 😊
I've never worn cowboy boots, but my father wore cowboy boots every single day; and he only owned one pair!

I’m southern, and boots are what we basically wear down there. It’s a little weird being further north for college being the only one who wears cowboy boots daily, and not like a once off thing for Halloween. But I love that it makes me stand out, and I’ll keep wearing em

I wear mine at the very least five days a week. I have several pairs so I do rotate through them. I am a boot addict!

I just realized where you're from when you said Northern States and I read your description. I'm currently in Albany NY for college and I live in NY on the border of Jersey. I always had a pair of work boots or hiking boots but never cowboy boots. I started wearing cowboy boots during this summer after I met a Texan gal who convinced me to get a pair along with some cowboy hats while I was visiting down in Houston TX. I wear mine everyday now that the weather has cooled off up here in NY. They're holding up great! I'm putting them through their paces for sure.

Thanks Jeremiah! I have about 18 pairs of Cowboy boots but still have a tendency to wear the same pair for a week at a time. I usually change to a different pair when I want another style or doing something different like going out to the stables to ride my horse. I have a few pair that I keep just for dress, and don't wear them to the stables. I have boots that I have had for 30 years and they have been resoled multiple times. Boots will last a long time and I see no problem with wearing the same pair as long as you want. Thanks for your channel and take care. Your friend in New Mexico, Kim.
Thanks Kim! You and I have very similar strategies when it comes to wearing boots. Wear what we want, when we want depending on what we're doing that day.
You should wear a different pair every day, so the worn pair can dry out. Even if you don't have sweaty feet, the inside of the boot is very humid by the end of the day and moisture is a leather killer.
After scoring two brand news pairs off Facebook - JB Dillons at 100$ and a flashy, jazzed up Durango boot at 60$ - my third pair of boots are in transit! I believe the rotation of boots, steel toed for work, Dillon square toes for weeknight mess around and round toe Durango’s on weekends, will circle out my wear evenly. Your videos have given life to my boot life and have expanded my knowledge immensely! Hell, I even have an order in for my Tacova jeans as well!

I moved to TX about 3 years ago and thought that I should get some cowboy boots. I finally got a pair at the end of February 2020. It was a rough experience finding a pair that fit without killing my feet, but I finally did. Loved them and started wearing them every other day (as recommended on the Tecovas website). Two weeks ago when I saw that one of their competitors had what seemed to be comparable boots on sale for $100 I got a second pair. Fortunately they fit and I now wear boots every day and will continue to do so. Now I know what I've been missing for the last 70 years. Boots are great and I told my wife that she now knows what I want for anniversary, birthday, and Christmas presents.

Been wearing Cowboy Boots since I was three years old. I only own Cowboy boots, when I was young I only had one pair (lasted twenty years) know after fifty plus years I own over seventy pair (all colors/shades & skins). Only other foot wear I own is slip-on’s for around the house. (Leave the house & boots go on). 👍🏼🤠. Have my favorites, wear some a month or so straight.

Every day! Born and bred in Massachusetts - and now live in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Have expanded to several pairs - everyone is just used to this now. I wear my cowboy boots on Saturday and Sunday. But I work in a factory and I don't want to ruin my boots on the concrete factory floor on my 11hr factory shift. However I'm considering getting a pair of cowboy styled work boots that can handle the concrete factory floor and still have some of the cowboy boot style.
I love that companies make western work style boots for this reason

@@JeremiahCraig I work as a radiology assistant in a hospital, I wear my Justins for my 13hr shifts every time… I’m pretty sure as long as they’re closed toe they should be fine. Granted different hospital different Policies I suppose 🧐

wear a different pair every day of the week I have about 30 pairs different brands, styles, skins etc. I am from the north as well, just wear a better soled cowboy boot in the winter snow. only time i dont wear them is at the gym.

How do you tell which boots you can shine and which ones you can't?
@@jaym8563 It all has to do with the leather. If its a sueded leather, it won't shine. Neither will rougthouts, distressed leathers and some exotics. If the leather is smooth on the outside, it can probably take a shine but the shine is achieved in different ways depending on the leather. On my caiman boots, buffing out my exotic conditioner works great. On other cowhide or calfskin boots, a wax or cream might work the best.
I wear my old ropers for work around my place and I alternate between 2 old west style boots for when I dress nice and most of the time in general but I also wear a pair of osiris shoes when my feet get sore after a hard day at work are when my feet are just swollen
I wear mine every single day I don’t have any other pair of shoes I even wear em inside at home

Normally, I switch up each day.
Other times I'll wear the suede Tecovas side zip ones more frequently.
It varies though.
The Justin ropers are very comfortable though.

If it's a nice day leave them outside in the shade. Not in direct sunlight. I will also leave my boots next to a heat source inside. Like a radiator, stove, or furnace vent but not super close if they are really hot. Don't use a blow-dryer
Everyday! Got many pairs. From working on horseback to going to Church they look and feel great.

Mexican American here from the big apple NYC, and I just want to say, I wear my cowboy boots every single day out here in the concrete jungle and boy. Let me tell ya. Yeah they handle anything. So, I just got my first pair of boots yesterday! Love them! This morning, my wife and I headed to the polls for our local elections and I wore my boots. When we were getting ready to leave the house, my wife asked me why I was wearing my boots, and I replied, “they make me taller, they’re comfortable, and they’re cool as hell!” Lol! She just shook her head.

I wear cowboy or engineer boots and jeans every day of my life and I don't care what anyone else thinks, especially when they're wearing tennis shoes or twenty dollar Wal Mart specials.

You might have a broken shank in your boot. Take them to a cobbler and they can fix it. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself

I cant say Ive ever owned an actual pair of "cowboy boots" but I have owned and do own jackboots. I have a lovely pair of Finnish boots that are older than me and will likely outlive me and no one can tell me that the Finnish soldiers that wore them before me didnt beat the tar out of them! I also recently acquired a pair of Russian Tarpaulin boots, leather foot, leather midsole, rubber outsole and a fake leather shaft.those Ive been breaking in for two months and Ive finally got them where I want them. There is no reason not to wear a good pair of boots every day, if the sole wears out replace it. Great, now I "need" another pair of boots....
Every day except on those rare days I don’t go anywhere lol. I’ve built my collection but I always seem to pick my Dan post renegades, unless I’m cutting wood or is slippery out then I wear my rubber soles Justin stampede ropers.

That could be a myth, the leather drys out after a few hours. Prob seems like its better because your boots are only geting 50% wear if you alternate days with two pairs.

Idk y but I bought a nice pair of double H boots and wore them to school for six hours and I got the worst blisters to ever exist, maybe is because I bought them a half size too big?
I wear my boots during the cooler months when I can wear jeans. Because of summer being hot, I mostly wear shorts during those months and can't wear my boots as a result.

The only reason I don’t wear cowboy boots every day is because I enjoy wearing work boots as well - I have Red Wing’s Heritage line to thank for that!

Good cobblers have a technique to fix cracks early on. You might want to talk to them. Don't super glue it. Leave it to pros to fix

Not sure. I've lost count. I've been wearing them 2 to 3 times a week now that it's cooling down because it's warmer than other boots I have thanks to how tall it is

The best pair of cowboy boots is the pair that fits you properly.
It always depends on your preferences but a general rule for lots of walking is a lower heel like a stockman heel which is broader and little shorter than the cowboy heel.

The Tony Lama eel skins are good, too.
Ropers are generally very comfortable as soon as you slip your foot in them.
The key is the ones that fit best. They feel better the more they are worn.
@@cecilnutall7923 thank you for that advice, I think I might get ariat heritage ropers as they look simple and traditional as I like but have a proper rubber sole and heel, they seem like a good boot to get my foot in the door of western boots

I wear mine year round. When it gets nasty and slippery out I have a pair with rubber soles that give me better traction. Just remember to give the leather a little extra care if you live in an area that uses allot of road salt, like you would with any leather boot.

Thanks! I have 12 pairs. It doesn't bother me that people have those fetishes. People can do what they want. I'm only bothered when they bother me with their fetish. I'm not like that. Still working on getting my band mates boots!
